Perth to Bali from $165 Return on Air Asia, June to Sep 2019 @ FlightScout

170

Obviously an LCC, but my favourite one again with a price to beat from Perth to Bali!

Found via FlightScout although some of the dates are actually a dollar or so cheaper when you click through to skyscanner from them, go figure.

AirAsia is an LCC, so bags and food cost extra (but their food is great, try the Nasi Lemak!). It's Bali, you'll be fine with carry-on :)

Good price for the Bogan Express.

      Hey, I resemble that!

  • Friends, never been to bali, is it worth it if you don't party?

    • +2

Definitely. If you are into just lounging around in your own private villa and eating delicious food, then Bali is for you.

    • Plenty of other stuff to do to. I've hiked Mt Batur, done a cooking class, there's Waterbom, etc.

I'm sure you can find plenty to amuse yourself.

    Price beat with Jetstar.

This is the subsidiary that drive a Airbus into the drink so I’d take that into account also.

    • Valid point. This is not Air Asia proper, which has a better reputation.

So they have the same level of safety overview and pilot quality as Lion Air or Malindo?
Which is not terrible, considering how many flights they do every day. But given the choice …

  • Bogan Alert, shaaaaame

Bali is a big island. And the bogans are not so terrible that you cannot share a plane for a few hours.

      • fairo, but still isn't on my bucketlist of destinations to go. not til i'm 60 anyways.

  • The food is also v cheap compared to scoot and Jetstar. And better

  • Cheers, got some cheap tickets from Perth for Aug 2019

  • Tops. Booked in for some July Bintang ringstang.
    Thanks!

  • Isn't this just one of the sale fares of the current sale?
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/415334

    • No - those are Air Asia only and ex Malaysia. This is from Aus to Indonesia on Air Asia Indonesia (technically separately run).

      • The sale actually includes all routes - Perth & Air Indonesia are included in the list too.
Its a bit tricky to find as there are so many, but if you choose Perth as the origin you will see it straight away.
The only other issue with the generic sale page is that they have approximated all airfares in US$ (for consistency I assume), but when you go to book it will charge in the currency of the origin of the flight.
