  I have 2 at home and i have hayfever, i didn't really see any real difference or i have get used to it (leaking nose). Good is it will remove cooking odour/smell quite efficiently.

From research I think its better to either get Coway or Winix which have reasonable filter replacement costs. Blueair is another good one that you can get locally but filters are a bit more expensive.
