Astell&Kern AK Super Jr Digital Audio Player $224.10 @ Addicted to Audio eBay Store

30
PFRENZY

Cheapest you will find this audio player for. After 23:59pm today, you are stuck paying $249 or $236.55 if you have the P5OFF code.

Comes with screen protectors which is nice, and some Super Junior Hi-Res tracks if you are into them…

64GB of storage is mildly generous, UI lag is there but not that much of a bother given the price.

A person from the A2A eBay store asked me if I could post the deal for them XD.

    • The AK Jr will have more power output at the expense of battery life eg, about 8 hours.

Sony is famous for their battery life but this comes at a cost - IEM's will be ok for the most part but full sized headphones may find themselves starved by its modest power.

the A25 was not power enough( but the 40+ hours battery is unblievable). A45 was pretty amazing for it's price( considering it can be used as a DAC and have bluetooth). The A55 is a minor upgrade from A45 so I would prefer A55 to this if it's gonna be used as a portable player.

My opinion would be that get an AMP if you want drive the full size can to it's full potential.

I have an A45 with a 256GB card and am happy with it. Will expand to a 400GB card soon as prices are dropping. Looks like the A&K can only be expanded by 64GB. If true, I'd go with the Sony every time.

  • Looks nice, but the A&K Website and reviews say this can only be expanded by 64GB to 128GB total. Anyone tried larger cards in this? 128GB would be far too small for my library.

    • Firmware is at 1.03. People online in forums and Amazon say 200GB cards are working. Not sure about others.

  • According to reviews, this is a impressive sounding DAP but has a number of glaring faults including a poor UI (not been updated since May 2017), short battery life and strange non-ergonomic design with sharp corners which make it difficult to carry in your pocket.

  • Looking at the A2A Ebay store, the Activo CT10 looks more interesting. Only 16GB, but has WiFi DLNA and Tidal Masters playback. So, who needs memory cards? Can take a 400GB card if you do. Must resist…

    • Resistance was futile LOL. Still discounted with PUSH10 code…
