When you're upgrading from a micro-usb phone to a USB-C phone and your life is full of micro-usb cables… this is actually perfect.
Are these fine for USB 3.0 connections? I.e. will they affect the speeds if I'm using a USB 3.0 external hard drive?

I bought similar adapters before and they just didn't charge my phone at all for some reason
If that's the case these would be perfect for me if someone can confirm that they only transfer data and not charge. I have a DAC/AMP, the Fiio Q1 Mark II, and it has a 20 hour battery life, but every time I plug it into my Pixel 2 XL it starts taking charge from my phone while I'm using it as a DAC/AMP, so it ends up wasting my phone battery to always stay on 100% instead of using its own battery.
I have these adapters and they do both - charge and transfer. From memory, I bought mine from Gearbest.

Really wish they'd start labelling it as "micro-USB to USB-C". You're coming FROM a micro-USB connector TO a USB-C connector, not the other way around.
