      Note that there is nothing about it being targetted, so I don't think it is.
      So I think sending a 500 gram parcel to someone (easiest time of the year to do that now for Christmas) seems like a decent way to go, as you spend $7.95 (I'm assuming for most people that the best use would be to send it to someone you won't see at Christmas, hence most likely not in the same city), for which you get to cross off 1 of the 5 partner transactions + earn 2000 bonus points (worth around $24). Of course you could send something to someone you'd see anyway, but for the extra $1.15, you might as well use it to do something more useful.

    I used Sendle to return a purchased item back to Amazon. As a prime member I would expect Amazon will pay back the shipping cost, but still be getting the Velocity points.

        You’re confusing Flybuys Points for Velocity Points

        2000 flybuys = $10 to spend at Coles.
        2000 flybuys = 870 Velocity Points (when no bonus is offered)

        19500 Velocity Points also equals $100 to spend at Coles. (Not Recommended!)

        be mindful that many people (myself included) have not yet received a tracking notification email from velocity, after clicking thru the estore and buying something from ebay. Been 7 days and counting for me.

        Even the Starlight donation has been reported to be unreliable. Anyone care to confirm if they've received velocity notification and/or points for making a donation?

    An update regarding eStore tracking.

    I did 2 eBay purchases at the same time using 2 Velocity accounts on 2 separate PCs using the same browser settings, the results were:

    Account 1 was tracked 5 days later, however account 2 was tracked 9 days after the transaction. No idea why they didn’t track at the same time.

    Now, I’m waiting for Autobarn points.

    So Autobarn is completely missing. Not sure if I've seen a single report of online autobarn purchased being credited.

    My starlight donation was tracked, however hasn't been shown on the account as point yet and is awaiting confirmation from starlight foundation ( I think) Eitherway not showing up..

    Quite annoying.

    Done 5 over about 10 days, just playing the waiting game now. Flybuys and BP showed up the next day. Nothing from Autobarn, E-store, Wilson…going on about 5-6 days. Guessing points are credited some time after 8 Jan regardless of if you've done the maximum?

      Wilson Parking shouldn’t take that long; you should have gotten the points by now if you stayed on the weekend. I parked in the city on Sunday which was booked through Book A Bay and got the points credited the next day.

        My first couple of bookings with Wilson took ages to come thru but both eventually did. I did park a third time (used them instead of my normal park for work so it wasn't an additional expense per se) and it came thru the next day so no idea what happened with the first couple of bookings.

        Confirmed means the relevant transaction has shown up in my velocity account activity history. Pending means it’s marked as pending when logged into the e-store in the purchase history section.

    I have my wife and son set up so that their points earnt are popped into my account. I have activated the offer on all 3 memberships. With the family pooling in place do you think we will receive the bonus for each member of each member satisfies the criteriA? Or do I need to remove the family pooling first and then attempt to shop at the 5 partners with each velocity number. I checked the terms and conditions and there is no mention of what I am referring to but with family pooling the child in the pooling relationship does not really end up having any points assigned to their account

    Went to pick up my sand paper on the weekend. Person working there knew what "we" are doing. They told me they thought it was a case of people using stolen credit cards to test for small purchases.

    The odd thing was, when I picked up my order, he said they have cancelled it, so he had to retype it in. When he gave me the receipt, it had someones elses Name, but the velocity number was definitely mine. Could it be that these people not caring what the "name" is and just thinking putting the number is sufficient?

      Not sure for other partners but for Skybus the points will be awarded only if the name on the ticket is the owner of the linked Velocity card.

      When you pay autobarn online, you need to enter name, surname, number exactly as appear on card . They give a diagram of where on card each field appears. Having said that, the velocity number was not on my confirmation or invoice. Only recently ordered, so not credited to account yet

        Yes when I ordered/paid for my sandpaper, I did put my full name and velocity number. I just find it odd, the name on the order is totally someone else, but the velocity (which he entered manually) is mine. My velocity number is on my receipt when I picked it up.

          In the PDF that came with your e-mail, did it say Name: Velocity Frequent Flyer under Partner Programs? If it did and you still haven't gotten the points, chase it up. I've been parking with Wilson for yonks and it doesn't take that long to be credited with Velocity points

      Mine is the same. Just checked a previous booking from a few months before the promo and it was credited the next day so not sure what's going on.
      The Wilson site says 28 days for book a bays and 35 for WilsonOne so it may take a while. I'd imagine like Autobarn they're getting smashed with authorizing points over this promo.

      If the transaction had nothing to do with Velocity, then it won't count. Only transferring Flybuys Points to Velocity Points counts as a transaction with Flybuys for this offer.
      "you must earn Velocity Points" is the key phrase for this offer.

                You need to make sure all your purchasing is done in the one tab that you opened through Velocity eStore. Icognito mode might help as well. All my ones get logged; only Freedom didn’t.

                Some examples I have of successful logging are Myer, DJs, Book Deplsitory, Clinique, Sony and The Good Guys

          The points credited are delayed by the other party, not Virgin/Velocity. If you have a look on the Velocity webpage, it shows you how to chase up missing points with partners and it always goes to the partner's webpage. Most say they take 3-4 weeks to be approved though so may need to wait a little longer.

                @whitelie: This whole promotion is a farce and a scam and I can only blame myself for participating. Clearly Virgin's systems weren't operationally capable to make it a smooth and enjoyable experience. Given the time I've spent calling and emailing Virgin and the partners for missing points (not to mention the money), the ROI has definitely not been worthwhile - and there's no guarantee all my purchases will be recognised and credited with points!

                So anyway, @whitelie, Autobarn purchase on 21 November still has not come through.

      Autobarn told me today there is no points for spend under $5! He was an animal though. He made a big drama out of my click and collect order for $2 like I had broken all the laws of trade and commerce on earth.

      I left the shop feeling guilty and gave them a 1 star review :)
