Bit silly for them to run that now because you can get them cheaper throught the website and payapl, $7 until the 6th. Just choose Family and friends tickets and then instead of entering token select checkout with paypal

    • can u still buy those, how or where on the site?

      • You select redeem coupon but when u finish the transaction instead of clicking redeem coupon u click on checkout with paypal and pay $7 a ticket

Go to the usual ticket purchase section instead of selecting adult @17.50 click the family and friends section then when you get to where it asks for tokens select checkout with paypal

        • So you don't need to already have tokens to redeem? Just want to make sure as i'm going to book a few tickets for friends to see a movie. Seems strange there's basically an option of $7 tickets with a couple of clicks.

        • Yep its odd alright but thats Events website design all over :) I went nearly all the way through the process (right up to logging into paypal didn't click the confirm payment bit)
Seemed like it was going to work give it a go and let us know how you go

        • oh wow - guys can u let us know if it works :)

    • I suppose if you're out finishing dinner and decided then to catch a movie, then it's reasonable to pay the extra $1 for the convenience of buying through Pocket Cinema. The promtion is targeting different market segment.

  • Pfft I don't even call $9.10 cheap. It should be the regular price. The only reason they have had all these $7 deals, bring a friend for $5 etc is because there has been a load of rubbish movies lately and they would rather people came and saw them anyway for a cheaper price than not at all. I hate Event cinemas, they are greedy scum.

  • It's more expensive than the $8 price I normally pay at The Ritz. Yet they still wonder why people don't go to the cinema as much?
