        • I have an older laptop with no NVME. Have a SATA SSD 250gb currently.
Laptop is working fine but contemplating building a desktop March-June next year. If not will upgrade laptop SSD to 1TB

@gimli: not to mention M.2 is typically one slot for mobo unless you get PCIe converters.

  • reckon the 970 EVO 1TB will re-stock as the 860 EVO 1TB did?

If this is a tax deductible purchase the bottom line is even better

Calculations based on marginal tax rate of 37c per dollar:

    1000GB - $249 x 0.8 = 199.20 - $45 = $154.20 (out of pocket price)

Tax deduction = 0.37 * $249 (deduction based upon original invoice price) = $92.13 tax that you would have paid had you not bought this product

    Real price = $154.20 - $92.13 = 62.07 / 1000 = 0.062c/GB

Calculations based on marginal tax rate of 45c per dollar:

    1000GB - $249 x 0.8 = 199.20 - $45 = $154.20 (out of pocket price)

Tax deduction = 0.45 * $249 (deduction based upon original invoice price) = $112.05 tax that you would have paid had you not bought this product

    Real price = $154.20 - $112.05 = 42.15 / 1000 = 0.042c/GB

    • wow my brain

gumtree emailed me with a $20 ebay voucher :D
used it to buy a $100 ebay card
    bought another w/ 5% off.

    bought the m.2 sata3 1T for 259 w/ free 90day plus trial
had to pay another $7 !!
    with teh $45 refund - thats 175+7-45 = $142 for 1TB ssd :D

    now thats a bargain!

    • I wish I had read this earlier.

I was trying to get my gumtree voucher into the purchase but it wouldn't let me choose both PRIZER and the gumtree voucher. Never occurred to me to use it for the gift card :|

    Bought the 1TB 1000GB - $249 x 0.8 = 199.20.
    With gift Cards at $190 - $45 Cashback = $145.0 / 1000 = 0.145c/GB.

Dilemma: Don't know what to do with the 80c still left on the gift cards :|

  • so - just got an email from ShopingExpres , as they are sending me the 2.5 , even though I paid 260 for the m2 version.
    "
we currently do not have stock of the the m.2 1TB model, have not had stock for somtime."
    "

so ive paid $10 more than I should have?

If they admit to having no stock - are they allowed to sell it and then just send something else?

Anyone else here order the m.2 ?

  • Anyone got the cashback already? Thanks.

  • Is this the right gift card I need to buy using the 5% off code?

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/eBay-Digital-Gift-Card-5-to-200-…

So if I get 1 $200 one that should do the job for getting the 1TB EVO which is $199.20?

    • P5OFF and PERCENT5 are not working on the gift cards?

      • +1

They never worked on Gift Card.

Only this and this worked, but has since expired.
