    The generation from 2017 to 2018 OLED tv's didn't have much of an upgrade and most use the same panel as 2017 models but 2019 models will be a huge jump ahead in tech apparently. So anyone dumping $3k and can wait 1 year for Dec 2019 deals on 2019 OLED models, expect super high end image processors, 120Hz which will be ideal for PC input, WISA Dolby Atmos support, lower input lag, etc. Oled tech seems to have a 2 year boost cycles, the next cycle is 2019 models.

    Haha, there are so many of these codes that are going to go straight to peoples junk folder. checked my email and i didn't get one :( Maybe you have to have a certain amount of carrots. looking for a new TV too, as winter is coming and need to upgrade my old series 2 Samsung LED.. great deal!

      Yes, i phoned EB Games Customer Service and you do need to have a certain amount of carrots (can't remember now) to get a code.

        Ahh thanks! being a PC gamer im not surprised. bricks and mortar just don't cater for us… used to go to EB all the time, but the PC section is pathetic now.

        Actually I called them up as well - as they explained to me this really specifically applies to customers who had made a significant amount of Sony product purchases via EB in the past year, e.g. a PS4 console, gaming headset, etc. Which makes sense as to why some people might not have gotten the offer even if they have significant number of carrots saved up.

          Ahh!! of course this makes perfect sense. Sony isn't going to take a break even or loss on a product for a MS loyal consumer to run their Xbone through. thank you for the additional info. That's a shame, i thought that my mate would have gotten one, but based on this he wont have. Cheers!i guess i'll have to wait for next xmas :P

            @josephnds: I don’t think it’s based on whether you own a Sony or not as I have a switch & xbox1x but still received the code. If anything it’ll be what eb level you are. I’m level 4

      No the A8F doesn't, only the A9F. But it's a crap 'player led' implementation and is worse than Sony's own proprietary HDR dynamic tone mapping.

      I have an A9F and leave it switched off.
