    50 $ postage? :|

The usual Sh i ppingSquare inflated postage kills it.

  • you might as well stumble onto ebay

    http://phones.shop.ebay.com.au/Mobile-Phones-/9355/i.html?rt…

same phone (same grey import), cheaper and safer to deal with.

  • It's a great phone, but has probably the worst battery life of any smartphone - worth keeping in mind!

  • the postage and this bit are the killers: •Not Compatible with "Next G" Network

    • Yeah, not having next G band makes it useless for me. I got my standard desire for $300 less than this.

Not everyone uses Telstra. Any phone that is purchased from Three/Vodafone/Optus will not work on NextG. And seeing as this phone was exclusively launched with Vodafone in Australia you will find it pretty difficult to find a NextG compatible version unless Telstra have managed to finally get a customised handset for their customers.
The phone will work fine in most city areas where 2100mhz is used.

I thought $20 postage is excesive enough .. but now $50 for less than 1KG phone ???????????

are you serious? if the item was selling for 1 buck, but $50 shipping will you still buy it?

      LOOK at OVERALL cost….

      • I think you mis-interperted elcheapo's comment…
Not sure how, he even negged the deal because he thinks $50 shipping is excessive!

shoppingsquare may as well put up the phone for 99c and charge $550 for delivery.

will that make the deal better? certainly not. It's blatant shipping cost mark up. unacceptable bargain.

        • $50 shipping is a standard assuming they are using express shipping from their asian suppliers

  • They are shipping it from HK hence high shipping costs

    • It's still escessive .

    • That doesn't make sense as there are plenty of places that ship from HK with free shipping.

often this is because the postage is built into the price..

  • Don't buy it from a online store - you might get the faulty phone speaker problem. I now have to use the speakerphone! You have been warned, this problem is apparently very common.

    shipping cost is too much.
