Great news TA, any chance we'll get an in-store card link too?

    • +12

      Stay tuned :)

    • I thought I'd sign up and try this - not had much luck with cashrewards so far.

I made a $50+ purchase - got notification this morning then went to pick up… 1 item out of stock so Coles removed the item and didn't charge for it - order total $48. Cashrewards still shows the $16 cashback but waiting on confirmation. I called Coles to check and this is normal practice for them - if an item is not in stock and there is no equivalent item they just remove it and follow up the sms notification with an email…. Glad it wasn't a critical item - this lack of customer service could be a hindrance to their business growth.. besides the 20+mins wait for click and collect - maybe quicker just to walk around the shop and collect things.

Not sure whether the $16 cashback will stand or not but expecting not….

Hi evanssm2jp. If the transaction gets declined down the track because of this, ping me and I'll go it to bat for you.

        • Hi there TA,

same happened here, only partially delivered on a few items making the total fall short of $50.

Seeing as this deal is still active, and the expected cashback date is more than 90 days away, specifically what sort of reassurance are you giving us to support the notion that you may somehow assist us in still getting cashback when order falls short?

          • +3

@chyawala: Hi chyawala. The reassurance I'm offering is that you made the purchase in good faith, and if Coles has items out of stock which drops the original sale amount below the $50 threshold, this happened through no fault of yours. As far as I'm concerned, the sale is and should be based on the spend amount shown on your original tracking receipt. I sincerely doubt they'll decline transactions below $50 based on lack of availability. If they do, we'll take care of it when and if it happens. Thanks.

            • +1

@tightarse: Thanks for your reply, solid! Looks like this has happened to many others who are expecting it to come through.

      • I made a $50+ purchase - got notification this morning then went to pick up… 1 item out of stock so Coles removed the item and didn't charge for it - order total $48.

O damn! I placed an order this morning and it was $50.80 for pick up (excluding other fees). If they do that then it might affect both the cashback and the 1000 flybuys points. Hope that won't happen, but if it comes to that I hope TA will help.

        • +1

My $57 order today was reduced by them down to $23 as they didn't substitute some of my item as they were out of stock. Bit of a waste of time.

          • @Nice one baby: $57 order down to $23? Holy moly! My order doesn't stand a chance then, as I picked Tuesday afternoon to pick it up. It's the last day for this week's specials and the chance of every item being in stock is very low. The only reason I pulled the trigger on this was for the cashback, followed by the 1000 flybuys points. It's hot as hell in Adelaide tomorrow so I might prefer them cancelling the whole thing instead of driving all the way to the store for half of my shopping and no cashback.

          • +1

@Nice one baby: Have had this type of issue with Coles deals before. So decided to order much more than $50 to qualify. As CLICK10 gave $10 off $100, ordered $100 for $90.

Received email - all meat was substituted as out of stock.
Luckily got more & better for $17.66 less!

            Substitution may benefit some:
Pork Loin Roast Boneless became only $1.88/kg😀
$18/kg chicken breast was substituted for $9/kg CB, but charged @$4.80!
            Crazy prices😱

Contact TA as suggested if Cashback does not appear in your account in April.

            • @INFIDEL: They let you to change the order until 5am on the day of pick up, but the site suggests you have to place a new order (or something along that line; can't recall). I wonder if placing a new order (to increase the $$) would constitute as a second order, hence make the cashback void, or if I can just change it on Coles site without eblven going through Cashrewards again. Damn! This sucks.

              • @AussieDaddy: Yes - I was unsure if changing the order may affect Cashback. I decided not to change. It shouldn't, as long as order is still over $50, as Coles calculates the price charged at time order is packed. Would think it may be good idea

    Cheers TA 👍

  • +1

Can you combine with CLICK10 for $10 off $100 also TA?

    • +6
      • Awesome, that's great!

      • +1

So if I'm reading this right.

        Spend $100
        - minus $10 for CLICK10
        - minus $16 for using Cash Rewards

Summary: buy $100 worth of food for $74? (i.e. 25% off discount pretty much)

        • Sweet, now to see if there is another half price stuff I need to get up to $100. That's potentially 75% a shop then if I have done the math right.

          • +2

@Click_It: But then again, just spending $50 to get $16 off is a better deal.

You're getting $50 worth of food for $34 which is 32% off.

            • +1

@montorola: Once again my math has failed me. You sir are right.

$50 of half price specials here I come.

EDIT: Except their 50% off selection is pretty lousy this week. Dynamo 2L Laundry liquid for $8.75 looks among the better ones.

        • Yep - that's what I did the other day when they had $18 CR!

    • +1

It also stacks with 15SUMMER code (min $120 spend). My wife and I just saved $44 on our first shop, $16 (CR) + $10 (CLICK10) + $15 (15SUMMER) + $3 off delivery fee for first order. Thanks for the post TA!

      • How? The only valid code listed by CR is CLICK10. So unlikely there will be any Cashback. Tracking only shows you bought through CR, not there will be cashback

      • Can you please confirm if it actually worked?

        • +2

Unfortunately, Cashback can't be confirmed until after CR gets paid & that takes quite a long time.

All we know is all new customers can use CLICK10 - a code in use on OzBargain since 2015 & listed as available for use with CR.

New codes SUMMER15, CHOOSE15 etc stack with CLICK10 (for new customers only) to reduce purchase price.

BUT, codes other than CLICK10 are not listed as being able to be used with CR (for new customers only), so risk any Cashback.

So using SUMMER15, CHOOSE15, etc risks costing you more!

          • @INFIDEL: Can TA confirm this?

            • @Lancerx: TA hasn't responded to queries about other codes, just CLICK10. Maybe tomorrow…

              • @INFIDEL: I'll wait then. Had to stock up after new year, might as well spend it all in one shop

                • @Lancerx: Likely TA & CR won't know for certain as it's all new. Those new codes have Coles condition that can't be used with other offers, so Coles may not allow.

                  • +2

@INFIDEL: This is correct Infidel, thank you. As we haven’t been advised of codes other than CLICK10, we can’t advertise them on site. Having said that, if you find they work, by all means use them, but with the knowledge that if cashback is declined down the track, our hands are tied.

  • Awesome work. About time it took someone to convince them to jump onboard

    (New Coles Customers Only)

How many people haven't shopped at Coles before ???

    • +2

online? actually never have. Always been woolworths

      • +1

        online?

Title seems to have been updated now… So you're right…

        • +2

          cool

          • +1

@Da dpG: Yes Coles online sucks in comparison to Woolies (you'll find it clumsy and awkward) but I'll take a $16 cashback and give it a go.

    • +3

We haven't, we avoid both Coles and Woolworths and tend to shop mostly at Foodland. They are much better at supporting local, smaller businesses.

      • Are Coles and Woolworths not local?

        • +2

Lol yeah but you didn't properly read what I said.

    • Me

    • hardly these days, they're far and fewer these days at least for where I live, plus so much easier to buy woolies gc on discount

  • Awesome!

FYI Coles doesn't appear when I search Cashrewards website, however I can see the links on the frontpage…. https://www.cashrewards.com.au/en/search?keyword=coles

    • +2

Search cache refreshes every 30 minutes. Store just created, so should be there soon. Edit: working now.

  • +2

New Coles customers or new Coles online customers?

    • +1

      Fixed.

  • +3

@tightarse dear god I hope they do a 5% discount gift card like woolies!

    • +3

Purchase via the Suncorp app - always 5% off.

      • Do you need to have an account?

      • Can the Suncorp gift e cards be bought in random amounts e.g. to pay a specific online shopping bill? Or do they have to be purchased in $50/$100 multiples?

        • no random amounts. only 5, 25, 50, 100 denominations

  • Never shopped Coles Online before. Can I click and collect today?

    • Same day pickup is only orders placed before 11am.

      • Thanks. Do you know if pickup on Saturday is available if I place an order now?

        • +1

Log in and go to the checkout on the right of the page - choose pickup as your delivery method and it will show available timeslots.

  • +1

This is fantastic to have cashrewards on now, I use Coles online for delivery every couple of weeks or so

  • Great work TA!

  • can you use the summer15 in conjunction? only the click10 code is featured

    • Yes you can. I was able to use both!

      • Unlikely will receive $16 Cashback using code not listed on CR. Tracking only shows you bought through CR, not there will be cashback

  • Good deal

  • +2

Do these guys do Click and Collect? I'm too cheap to pay for delivery.

  • I signed up to Coles Online ages ago, but never ordered anything. Will that account qualify?

    • following..

    • Me too. Can you please confirm TA?

  • +1

Any idea how long this will be around TA? My household doesn't necessarily need to shop TODAY :)

    • +1

Hopefully for the long haul Click_It :)

      • +1

Legend, thanks for another bargain :)

  • Are liqour purchases included?

  • Can egift card used for Coles online?

    • I have the same question. The information on suncorp website says no.

The card cannot be redeemed at Coles Online, Coles Express or Liquorland.

      • What a shame. I think coles myre gift card cant too

    • With CR, you can no longer pay by eGift card for online purchase & get Cashback anyway.
Coles don't accept eGift card online.

  • Any idea when the tracking email from Cashrewards will be sent since coles online won't charge until the order is picked up?

Update: placed order 1 hr ago but still no email received. Any idea?

  • For some reason when I try and sign up to Coles it just searches and searches but never finds my address
    Tried different address too.
Used Internet Explorer and Edge as Chrome and Firefox have had ad blockers in the past.

    Any ideas?

    EDIT: Finally working now

  • I can’t seem to find where to enter CLiCK10 before I have to enter my credit card details. Is the add promo code section after this step?
Edit: nvm It is after the cc details step

  • Any standard % based cashback for existing users?

  • Thought I'd give it a crack, cheers!

  • +1

    Hi tightarse
can you please negotiate uncapped %10 Amazon cashback thanks.

  • I just spent $51.xx buying things from Coles online and received tracking email from CR, but the expected cashback is only $12.xx, as opposed to $16. Did I miss something here?

    • +2

Please check your CR acct. Should now reflect $16.

      • Thanks, TA. I could see $16 on my CR acct. It's just different from what it says in the tracking email. Cheers.

        • No worries. Small glitch with some of the initial tracking emails.

  • silly question, but if order fridge items on click and collect, are these stored in a fridge?

    • Pick up orders are always stored in the lockers with A/C. Actually all lockers are mini fridges…

  • Would I still get the cashback if I spend $50 but they cancel an item because it's out of stock?

    • It varies for me even with flybuys. One order I was 0.20c under the 5000 bonus points because of an out of stock item even though I clicked for it to be substituted if needed, but they still gave me nothing. That was still given the bonus points. Another time I was $1 short and it didn't give me any bonus flybuys. I would just make sure substitutes are turned on, maybe order a little bit over incase

  • terrible customer service. We got two milk bottles damaged and how do you complain? 1800 number that only works until 1pm! fresh fruit was not so fresh…do the cashback but don't return…

    • +1

Always been my experience with them sadly.. fruit and veg is completely hit and miss - personally i find it good for stocking up on bulky items and still doing the weekly shop in person

    • There should be a support link or email in your order confirmation email or on the site, very vague, apologies.
When I've reported an issue, they've always refunded me the items.
Doesn't help if you actually need it though but it's something at least.

  • With the coles promotion. I set up an account but never used. Is this still eligible? Otherwise, if use another email address, would this still be eligible?

  • When does it expire? Heading into Coles on Monday.

    • +1

TA said above: "Hopefully for the long haul"

      • Thanks for the info :)

  • TA, so this doesn’t combine with CHOOSE10 or CHOOSE15?

  • Ordered an hour or so ago and haven't received any CR confirmation email - how long does it usually take?
