Anyone have any experiences with the wireless charger?

    • I posted it last month and the deal itself was popular. Even one of our resident charging experts approved with proof showing that fan cooled wireless chargers perform better :)

      • Yes it was popular, but no one seems to have a review on this specific charger. They are making assumptions based on experiences with other wireless chargers.

        • Good thing I have a graph of the Tronsmart under the wholesale name Smacat in action here showing it charge much faster than other brands without the active fan cooling.

In the perfect world we'd love people to leave reviews on the products they purchase from OzBargain but unfortunately that's not the case. Instead we get a few on the AliExpress listing :)

          • @Clear: That's a great graph, but as a consumer, you can't solely rely on charging speeds. There are a myriad of other factors such as heat dissipation on the charger and the phone itself, build quality, the loudness of the fan etc.

            • @18: One thing for certain is that this charger will always beat a passively cooled wireless charger in heat dissipation due to the fan.

            • +3

              @18:

such as heat dissipation on the charger and the phone itself

Both of those directly link to charging speed. The hotter the battery gets the slower it will charge.

      • does it have RGB

        • Only a blue/white LED so not quite :( With all the Tronsmart RGB products recently coming out perhaps they can be the first?

          • @Clear: lol what RGB products are they releasing?

i wish some chinese OEM seller would sell knockoff nanoleaf.me products

            • @furythree: Just the usual gaming products like RGB mousepad, headset, PC fans etc.

Nanoleaf copies out of China aren't far away either ;)

              • @Clear: got a link to the gaming products?

                wouldnt mind an RGB mousepad

also is there a discount u can get for the anne pro 2

I bought two of these wireless chargers when the last deal was on. It works well with my Samsung note 9 when in a vertical or horizontal orientation. The fan activates once you place the phone on the charger. The fan is very quiet and you don't even notice it. Highly recommended.

I have it, and love it.

Fast charging works well even with my thick phone case on my Note 9

  • Anyone have experience with the doorbell? 3 months of free cloud storage it good.

  • I have been looking for a cheap video doorbell to try and hack into my Apple/homebridge ecosystem. Let's see how this goes! Thanks OP

  • The Tronsmart WC05 however has an inbuilt fan with rear cooling vents to stop it from overheating

That's actually a really novel idea – it also solves the typical problem of increased degradation of the battery due to the repeated heat exposure.

  • Thanks for the charger deal. I bought it previously from geekbuying and it's great. Bought another one now to replace my current ravpower one at work (I like the idea of fans on it, from what others say it makes a difference with the battery).

  • how come it says 18.59 here but the actual website says 19.99 :(

    • You have to apply the coupon.

      • +2

        damn it's all sold out.

        • +2

I'll ask Geek for more stock 😊

  • Does the charger cool the phone itself? Or just the charger

    • -1

      Just the charger

      • -1

The point of the fan is to cool the charger and phone.

        • -1

          No, it isn't.

          • @timps: The point of the fan is to keep the charger cool but by doing so it also keeps the phone cool. A wireless charger without would heat up both.

          • @timps: Yes it is.

A hot charger also means a hot phone.

  • Cant see an add to cart?? Assuming sold out,?

I presume with these chargers the usb c cable is included but the wall usb plug is self provide??

How does tronsmart or other wireless chargers like this compare to the old blitzwolf ones (the round qi wireless ones where phonr lays flat on it?)

    • Yeah the charger isn't included and a QC one is required for the fast charge.

My first paragraph covers how it compares. The others like BW don't have fans resulting in them running very hot and losing efficiency.

      • If you're able to get more stock, could you provide a link to a fast charger also if you guys sell one to suit? Looks pretty good! Cheers

Can this doorbell connect to wifi? Or is it Bluetooth only?

If Bluetooth only, wouldn’t that hamper the range significantly?

    • It supports both WiFi and Bluetooth.

    • From the description, both 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth mesh are supported.

      WiFi: 2.4GHz, WIFI802.11b/g/n wireless network

Edit: damn. Beaten by the rep.

      • I like your answer better though 😉

  • Damn, missed out on the wireless charger. Was hoping to grab a couple.

    • +3

Stay tuned I should be able to secure more by the afternoon.

      • That would be awesome. I'd like another. My older ones are super flakey.

      • Please let us know when it's back on stock, thank you.

  • how is the door bell compared to Ring2?
What are the cloud storage charges after 3 months? and is it possible to store the data locally?

  • I can pretty much guarantee that if you buy this in 12 months you will find a video leak online of your doorbell that will be secretly recording 24/7 and sending everything to its Chinese maker to sell for data analytics.

    • I should install one in my hot neighbour's bedroom, then :D

"'Ding dong', You are right in front of my sight"

    • +1

what they do with the stored video when the doorbell is pressed? who knows, but 24/7 recording on battery ? lol no chance. You would be charging your doorbell every day

      • This. It would have to be ultra power efficient by design to make sure they hit the 180 day power budget, else no one would buy or use a doorbell they have to charge every week or month.

That said, I'm very certain that they do at least use/sell analytics such as location, number of times pressed, time to pickup / answer, etc. but this can be said about literally any IoT product. Even if data harvesting is their primary motivation, they would want people to use it for longer term to gather more data, so they would likely not bother with recording constantly at the cost of battery life.

I ordered a few brands of qi chargers.

    I have ordered

    1. Xiaomi Wireless Charger Qi
    2. Tronsmart WC05
    3. Baseus 10W Quick Wireless Charger
    4. BlitzWolf® BW-FWC1 Fast Charge

I personally found Tronsmart the best in detecting and charging with gadgets who have thick covers. I use my 8 inch tablet with an adaptor and works perfectly with the tronsmart. The rest couldnt pick it up propertly because the tablet cover was so thick.

With my normal phones and normal covers though, all of them detect and charge my phone with no issues.

Also like others have mentioned you could hardly hear the fans running when charging.

Also when I meant thick cover, think of something like otterbox phone covers. None except the tronsmart detected it properly.

    • How were the actual blitzwolf ones vs the xiaomi and as standalone review wise..

      • I personally found them both the same in terms of charging and detection. I would find blitzwolf better value as it was close to half price than Xiao mi when I bought both of them.

  • The second deal is on the new Dophigo DPH-DI-200 WiFi Video Doorbell. Features include 960p wide angle resolution camera that can detect and record visitors, 10m night vision, push video/audio to your phone, 2-way audio communication, customisable doorbell chime, Alexa support, voice mail and a companion app for iOS and Android. It has a rechargeable and removable 18650 battery that provides up to 180 days of usage on a single charge via Micro USB.

    Few quick questions:
    * So anytime anyone press the bell, it will trigger open the app on my phone?
    * Associated to the above question, do they need to press the bell or it smart enough to detect and trigger my phone app?
    * How would you normally recharge that thing? assuming that it's permanently positioned at the front porch, meaning we need to bring the electricity closer to charge? or recommended not to permanently stick this thing, so that we can bring it inside and recharge it as per normal, then stick it again?

    • The videos do better justice than my description for features. In the installation video there is a wall mount clip and you can unclip the doorbell itself for charging.

  • Any update on new stock for the wireless charger mate?

    • They haven't got back to me yet :(

      • Was back in stock then just ran out just then again!! Perhaps ask for another one?? Haha

  • They're back in stock….. despite OP not hearing back. $20 usd a pop on special normally.

When i use coupon QLNVSYFY it bumps up 2 units ($40 usd) to 60 usd less 11.40 usd disc so circa $48 usd??

Not sure if im missing anything but without using the coupon this is cheaper??? Should we be using the coupon ???

    • Solved the mystery. You get 11.40 usd off with one charger. Even with two they bump both to 30 usd full price but only give you 11.40 usd off. So end story is you need to buy in lots of one which is abit silly… :(

Hey guys sorry for the delay. Spoke to GeekBuying and unfortunately this deal has run them dry - the charger is out of stock! 😪

Rest assured as soon as they get more stock I'll run the deal again. Fingers crossed that won't be too long!

  • OP - can you confirm the doorbell unit supports motion detect without physically pressing the “ring” button? And if it does, what’s the battery life? I don’t want to be charging this thing once a day. Thanks in advance.

  • Any idea what the usual processing time is OP? I ordered the doorbell on the 18th and haven't seen any movement. Thanks!

    • Same here. Ordered 18th morning. The current order status is Payment Confirmed - Processing.

  • I received my doorbell however I’m not to sure if it’s legit or a knockoff. My package had no plastic seal on it and the doorbell doesn’t have the DophiGo logo on the front. I’ve seen number of reviews and photos of people’s installs on amazon and all those doorbells have the logo in the front towards the bottom. Mine doesn’t.
