Saw this promo offer on realestate.com.au so thought I'd share.

When you apply for an online conditional approval to re-finance your home loan on realestate.com.au Home Loans - you get a $100 gift card (sent to your email).

In the T&C it mentions that you don't have to be approved to qualify for the gift card.

Gift card can be redeemed from 80+ retailers (e.g. JB Hifi, Coles, Iconic, Myer, DJs)

In case this is helpful as well - I applied online, then they called me back to ask for some additional details. Apparently you have to go through a credit check to process the application. They also confirmed that I'd still get the $100 gift card regardless of it being approved or not.

Details on how you qualify for the $100 gift card, from the T&C (https://www.realestate.com.au/home-loans/refinance-swap-gift…)

• Apply for online conditional approval to refinance your loan via realestate.com.au Home Loans between 4 January and 15 February 2019.
• Your online conditional approval doesn’t have to be approved in order for you to redeem your Gift Card.
• Even if you start online and we require you to complete your application by phone or with a broker, you qualify for the offer!
• But note that if you start your conditional approval by phone or you apply for refinance via a realestate.com.au Home Loans mortgage broker, you aren’t eligible for the offer.
• You are only eligible for one gift card per property you seek to refinance via an online conditional approval application between 4 January and 15 February 2019.

    It's not $100 for Refi, it's just $100 for applying for pre approval. Don't need to accept anything

    Edit: But yes, I wouldn't refi just for a $100 voucher LOL (unless rate was legit)

      All the banks talk to each other now
      And it affects your credit rating if you get to many credit checks affecting your ability to apply for credit/loans in the future
