makes me wonder about the average age of the kids around here… going on 12?

I just read that as "a box of bones" making me think you were skimping out on your wife to get something you wanted :P

Free freight as well at the moment.

  • Anyone know the cheapest thing at jbhifi online? The two boxsets I want come to $99.96 :(

I bought the Canon IXUS 105 IS camera. Makes it $148 delivered after cashback. Big W sells the pink/green for $208 and doesn't have stock for the silver. Been looking to replace my point and shoot for awhile now since I lost it a few months ago… I just wanted a basic camera with image stabiliser as drunk people tend to take fuzzy photos! Thanks for posting =)

  • I've read in previous posts that JB is terrible with its delivery time and lies about their "in stock" status. Unless someone can confirm that this has changed, I wouldn't risk buying from them unless I don't mind a 2+ month wait.

    • Never had problems with their delivery. Everything I've ordered from them has come within a week (at the most) of being marked as posted.

    • my gf ordered dvds and games for me well before xmas, some of it arrived after xmas. not sure if they are still as crappy as december 2010 anymore

    • No problems either. Ordered an ipod touch on the 28th Dec during the paypal promotion, it was dispatched on the 29th via AAE, I got it on the 30th Dec.

The cashback took just under 2 months though.

    • Only thing I've had to wait on was a more obscure Blu Ray that said "Order Now" versus "In Stock". Some items they must have to order in and don't have a running inventory of.

    Does it work with pre-orders?

    • I too would like to know this!

  • It took them nearly a week to actually ship something out to me recently, and another week for postage. I wasn't really concerned though, because if I had really wanted the item in a rush I would have just gone to the store.

  • Is it possible to use gift cards and then pay the balance via paypal>?

  • The page http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/paypal_cashback.htm is blank. Does this mean they offer has been pulled? I can't find any other mention of $20 cash back anywhere - either at PayPal or JB.

    • Doesn't look good, does it? I'm getting redirected to the home page too. This offer was originally also linked in the banner at the top of the home screen and that seems to be changed now too. I don't seem to have it cached either so hopefully someone may be able to provide a screen shot of the offer in case there are any issues.

  • After my last experience of Paypal cashback with Dick Smith (2-3 months before a cashback and even then I had to email them to ask), I'm really wary of these offers…

  • What is going on with this one? Its like a TRAP! The Paypal T+C arent' showing up

  • This was the shortest PayPal promotion ever, if there ever was one at all.

  • Looks like they changed it to $10.

      Bait and switch?

    • Yeah, it's been changed to $10 now. I really hope they intend to honour the $20 cashback for the people that purchased when it was initially offered. Overall, this is really poor form from JB Hi-Fi, you'd like to expect better from such a large company. Basically the offers on the website can't be trusted, or can be simply withdrawn or changed at random.
