Nice timing..scored it for $679 with 15% off ebay giftcard scored last year via ebay Uk 😀
      Thanks OP

Sweet, nearly as good as this $749.25 deal. Thanks

Any chance of getting Myer one points with purchase? Might have to call up customer care and get them added on afterwards. Think I just answered my own question. Nvm.

    • Oh, is this something you can do? would be very nice.

      • +1

Just looked it up on their website:
"MYER one Credits are not earned on purchases of gift cards, purchases made on the eBay Myer store, Give Registry non-merchandise donations, lay-by payments or credit card payments, delivery fees, Mural Hall and some food and service outlets."
But I'd be interested to know if anyone else gets it to work :)

        • Damn thanks for the research

        • +1

My wife is going to try.. there's no mention of Ebay on the invoice so potentially it might be something that customer service will do.

  • +2

Saw this on myer website, does it also come with the toy or just the dok itself?

Purchase Dyson Cyclone V10 Absolute+ Handstick and redeem bonus V10 Dok from Dyson. Bonus via online redemption from Dyson. For T&Cs and to claim go to www.discoverdyson.com.au/dok. Valid on purchases between 14/02/19 and 31/03/19, or while stocks last.

    • id assume it does if its on the myer site, thanks for popinting it out have added to post

    • Should come with the Dok via Redemption. The redemption T&C's list Myer as approved sellers.

      • Myer yes,
        myer ebay, no

        • The receipt that Myer gives you makes no mention of Ebay - Additionally the invoice amount is for the full $999, not this ebay promotional price.
I've submitted it to Dyson, let's see if it get's approved.

    • It's the 'in one transaction' bit that makes me unsure if it does come with the toy via eBay. When you're on the Myer website you have to add the dyson to the cart to see the free toy.

    Thanks!!

  • Dyson Dok - useful or useless?

    • Isn't it come with 5 extra tools?

    • Depends if you're able to drill holes into the wall for the standard dock or not.

Been a while since I've seen mine but from memory 2 of the 5 already comes with the absolute+ (Flexi hose + duster).

    • +1

Having just gotten one courtesy of the most recent deal from Dyson AU, I’d say useful. Worth $199? No way! But if you can get it by redemption or heavily discounted, then I’d recommend it. Has a place to store each and every tool that comes with V10 Absolute+ and comes with a few extra ones to boot.

I have been looking for a new one to replace my V6. Just bought it and received the invoice. It looks like I should be able to add this purchase to MYERONE, so I will call them. Many thanks to the reminder of the doc redemption.I will do it after receiving the item.

    • Does the receipt say ebay anywhere on it?

      • +2

Looking at one of my older Myer ebay invoices, no where does it mention ebay on it. It just looks as though i've ordered it from Myer Online. Hoping as well this doesn't cause issues with the Dok redemption otherwise this will be frustrating as heck

    • I just found on their website that you can't claim MYERONE credits from eBay purchases, so let me know if you manage to get it through.

"MYER one Credits are not earned on purchases of gift cards, purchases made on the eBay Myer store, Give Registry non-merchandise donations, lay-by payments or credit card payments, delivery fees, Mural Hall and some food and service outlets."

  • Fak yeah bought Lego and this as well.
All of them got extra 15% discount with gc

    • +1

      what do you mean?

    • Which GC? Where do you get ebay ones from?

      • From ebay a few months ago.
There was heaps deal from UK and others. 10% 15%

  • +2

I have rung dyson and they said they would not honour myer ebay receipts. only bought from myer directly.

    • Ouch. This may not be pretty

    • In this case, need to ask Myer to give you a store receipt.

      • True, i wonder if @minicats's receipt (comment above) mentions ebay

      • is it possible to obtain a store receipt?

        • Purchasing online and then trying to get a receipt of said purchase in-store? I've had no such luck. I've tried on a 3k purchase, was fobbed off to customer care.

    • But don’t you get a normal myer receipt when you purchase from Myer eBay

      • What about the email one?

        • thats what i mean, purchased an item the other day from myer ebay, email receipt has no mention of ebay

          • @RogueWolf: try and see

            • @Turd: havent purchased one, but if anyone has just dont open it until the redemption is approved, if its not just return it

          • @RogueWolf: Roguewolf is correct, no mention of eBay on the emailed receipts - I will add though I've had issues with before specifically with Breville for an Oracle Touch Barista Pack Promo- they wouldn't even accept the normal Myer eBay receipt as it still shows an "outstanding balance" -

I even went in store to Myer to ask them to reprint an invoice showing it being paid and a zero balance but was informed that they could not do it with online orders and would have to contact customer care, who were equally confused and had to lodged a request which would take 2 weeks, when I finally did get it it showed a BALANCE outstanding still, I almost gave up, I ended up providing my Paypal transaction (which will show ebay) which they eventually accepted.

That was my experience with Breville, I Hope Dyson is much easier to deal with!

    Full-size suction power

While Dyson says this, it is not true.

The V10 claims 150 air watts in maximum mode.
A Miele Complete C3 Brilliant does 250 air watts
A Dyson Cinetic is 230 air watts

So that's 60% less suction power than a corded model.

But the rated air watts are in Maximum mode (which a corded model always does)
In standard mode the V6 has 28 airwatts (V7 and v8 are slightly less at 22 air watts) so the V10 will probably be the same.
Thats 90% less suction than a corded model on the standard mode.

Dyson doesnt publish battery life for each mode however the V6 lasted 20 minutes on Standard and 6 minutes on Maximum.
The V10 claims 60 minutes so let's just assume it is triple the battery life across all settings. That means Maximum mode will give you 18 minutes of use on maximum.

If you want the 60 minutes of use you are going to be cleaning with only 10% of the power of a corded unit.

And that is with a brand new battery.
We know that battery life will degrade over time so those minutes will get shorter each use

    • yep
      V10 = 150 AW
      Meile C3 = 250 AW

      • However, suction power is not everything. The power attenuation, self-cleaning efficiency and battery longevity are just a few examples you should take into consideration before you invest. Dyson did pretty well in terms of all the aforementioned form factors. Well, maybe not in battery, but the other two, so far as I know, are second to none.

    • However, I've seen reviews showing it picking up more than standard vacuums so it must be doing something in a more efficient way?

      • The V10 has a roller in the vacuum head that helps pick up things.

This is because physical force is better at dislodging things than just air movement.

If the videos you have seen are comparing to a standard vacuum that does not have a roller then it is possible the V10 will pick up more because of the roller.

A good full size vacuum with a roller should always be better because there is more power that can be used to spin the roller (if it is powered by air) which mean it will be better at dislodging things plus have more suction to suck them up.
Some vacuums also power the roller with electricity so you get the strongest suction and roller power.

    • Actually, it is only 7 minutes on Maximum on V10.

  • +1

So let me get this right. The Absolute + already comes with about 10 tools and now you're getting another 5. The whole point of stick vacuums is to make life more convenient not more of a hassle. Basically what will happen is that you'll only ever use the one tool and the other 14 you'll be able to advertise as new when selling everything in a couple of years time when the next version appears on ozbargain.

    • +2

I get your point but the convenient part of the cordless Vacs was that they didn't need to be plugged into every room you go to. Some people do use the other tools, some don't, each to their own.

  • I really want the dok but concerned with the comments above that Dyson won’t honour the transaction as it’s Myer selling on eBay.

I can understand if the retailer was on eBay and not part of this list - Norman, Bing Lee, The Good Guys, JB Hi-Fi, Big W, Costco, Shaver Shop, David Jones and Myer.

    • +2

Just don’t open it until you receive confirmation of the dok.. if it doesn’t come refund it

      • Seems a hassle, but tempted to see what happens.

I’m assuming Dyson won’t honour a price match as a code is being used?

        • +1

The Myer Tax invoice Email you get from the Myer store makes no mention of ebay, just PayPal.
It also lists the sale price as $999.

      • Dyson just sent an email confirming that they've received the request and have not yet denied the claim.

  • That toy looks cool!
Just bought the V8 CF a month or so ago, but the kids would love to play along too. What's cheapest/easiest way to get one? They look about $80-$100 online

  • I’m happy with my $350 Xiaomi, sane specs and it does the same job thankyou very much.

  • Twice I’ve ordered a dyson from myer eBay, twice the order was cancelled a week later.
I ended up buying from dyson directly for $3 more.

    • how did you buy it directly for $3 more?

  • can anyone see any order update? nothing on mine

    • Will be despatched within 24 hours. I got

  • just got shipping notification.

  • anyone got invoice in the email yet?

  • I just did the redemption for the Dok with Dyson.

    This was the response.

"Once this is approved, your Dyson Cyclone V10 Dokâ„¢, will be sent to you at your provided postal address within the next 60 days"

    60 days!!! LOL!!!

    • "Once this is approved."
      Good luck!! Keep us updated.

      • Yep just did mine as well. 60 Days is ridiculous.

Maybe they over estimate so if they deliver it in 40 days, you'll be pleasantly surprised.
