    UnlockLocks will do it for just under AUD$13 and it can be done online in minutes.

    I've used them before for several work phones and they're great.

      Have you tried it with these phones? Past reports of remote code unlocking not working with these models. Unlocklocks wants US$20.95 except for the U5. What is the reason of your negative vote?

      Not a valid neg.
      Some phones need to be unlocked in store, despite what ebay & Unlocklocks etc claim.
      Didn't have success online with Telstra Essential Plus.

    Could be handy for those who received the free Telstra Essential Plus. Telstra quote $80 to unlock. No reports of successful online unlocking.

      I can vouch for these guys as I got mine unlocked the other day. Apart from the 40min drive for me it was worth it. Easy and hassle free.

        Screen is crap - so I wouldn't even spend this much to unlock.

          I think they need it instore because they need to do it the 'old school' way.

          Flash the ROM to unlock. They dont have the code generator to get the unlock code.

          Yep, that's who i used.

          Says Vodafone - maybe it will work with others such as the Optus Xspirit 4G as well - currently on sale for about $50.

              @freewhere: Sellers in my experience tell you they can to get the sale, but it did not work. Then you have to get a refund.
              Other Ozbargainers have reported this issue in phone deals.

              Has been discussed in recent Vodafone phone deal - unlocked cheaply online, but same model phone on Telstra could not be unlocked that way.
