  • How are you making money at these prices. $2199 for an RTX2080 Ti system?

    • +3

they are not paying retail price / margin

they get bulk buy OEM deals straight off disti

and part of the 20% is funded by ebay

      • +1

There is a number of ways to cuts cost to these parts, cutting on range, these will be the cheapest of the cheapest of parts, and buy in large quantities for a discount price,

        • Small Company (Less workers, labour is expensive in Australia)

        • Small Selection and range of configuration, (Allowing more purchasing
power for larger quantities of cheapest parts)

        • Online retailer, no need to pay for stores, rent, etc, probably jist a big warehouse for parts and where assembly of the pc is built to be shipped straight out

*Dont know if its true or not, but they have no ABN (Or expired) Which probably means they dont pay GST or tax, which allows a greater price advantage over competitors

*They are currently in backlog for a month, so its a long time to wait for these components to be built and sent to you

        • +1

*Dont know if its true or not, but they have no ABN (Or expired) Which probably means they dont pay GST or tax, which allows a greater price advantage over competitors

          Wait, what?

          • @Ten: Apparently they have an expired ABN, which means no tracking of income of the business, Rep seems to avoid it though, so no idea if its true

        • +1

Which probably means they dont pay GST or tax, which allows a greater price advantage over competitors

They do charge for GST, so if they're doing that and not registered for GST they're in a hell of a lot of sh**. But they can't be registered for GST without an ABN, but yeah, can't find one at all on their website.

          Not a good look..

          • @Nousernamehere: possibly someone who has bought something from them has a receipt/invoice with an ABN listed.

            • +1

@Ten: Yeah I was just thinking that. Although a quick search of ABN's with the name 'TechFast' in them showed this one from SA, but who knows if it's actually theirs. Why they don't have it on their website I'll never know.

We have an ABN and are GST registered.

          • +3

@luketechfast: So will I get a full tax receipt upon purchase? I need a new pc and want to write it off on tax.

            • @Thypeople: So do I. I want to claim the GST as well. I am registered for GST purpose.

              • +1

@ssp88: GST registered - you get a tax receipt for business purchase etc

            • @Thypeople: I got one with my invoice from them if that's help for you.

            • @Thypeople: If you require it please request at checkout or via eBay message and the guys will get it done. It will be sent around dispatch time but can take a few extra days.

          • @luketechfast: Rep can you please advise what brand GPU is used for the 2080ti?

        • Their domain is registered under Luke's name and company SAETHER JACKSON HOLDINGS PTY LTD, ACN: 609 805 021, I'm sure you'll probably be fine.

    • -1

$2199 for an RTX2080 Ti system

You could buy one ASUS 2080 Ti for that ;)

      • +2

Kind of insane looking at the jump from 2080 to 2080 Ti.

I remember when seeing a $300 difference between the top 2 gpu options was already insane now it's like $600+ every generation.

  • Im curious to know which brand of parts are in the RTX 2080ti? Rep can you confirm the possibility and likelihood of which brands will be used in this selection?

    • Says galax a few lines above

  • +1

That RX570 system is such good value. Imagine getting one of those as a teenage gamer.

  • I ordered the Ryzen 5 2600 RX 580 deal a few days ago and I notice ram is now cheaper. Can I still add an extra 8gb ram to my order?

    • +2

Yep, be sure to leave a note at checkout saying the date your originally purchased on to help allocate it.

  • +5

The service from these guys is absolutely outstanding. I was initially rather put off by the waiting time and having a component failure but the way it was dealt with was second to none. Really happy with the outcome of my purchase from this company. Thanks Luke, really appreciate the way you went above and beyond to make an unhappy customer someone who will praise your company.

  • +2

Really nice prices. I wish you did a upgrade only bundle which included just the CPU/MB/RAM.

  • Hi Luke,

May I know the dimensions of the Leaper Small Form Factor Case?

  • +1

Can I play dota 2 easy on the $559 one?

    • +2

      easily

  • Can anyone comment of any of these units good for video editing ?

    • +1

You won't need graphics cards for video editing so as most of the crunching is helped with cpu core/thread count and the CPU speed, also with that large amount of fast ram and a speedy SSD.

  • Is the RX570 good enough to play fortnite at a decent setting?

  • Any reviews of the $559 ones GPU?

Can't find an 8gb model review of biostar online

Ideally wanting to play 2k res @ 60fps

    • That GPU would mainly be for 1080p, but you could probably get 2k res 60fps by lowering the graphics settings in game. Depends on what games you're playing

  • +3

Highly recommend Techfast, wait is a bit long but the quality of components is top notch, really impressed with the build

  • +4

    @luke
Are you able to bring back this promo and I’ll bite?

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Ryzen-5-2600-RX-580-8GB-120GB-SS… - $599.20

    • 2nd this as well

  • +1

if someone bought from some previous deals, how can i add a standard lets say 2tb hard drive to the Leaper Pro RGB Case? i see that the SSD has been added to the back part of the case, behind the motherboard, but i have no idea where to add the HDD in the inner part of the case where other components are, i dont see any slots for it. Thank you

    • There's spot at the front but then you have no option to properly mount the fan at the front. Also vents are tiny at the front so no good airflow anyways. I used double sided tape to stick the fan at bottom front.

I would recommend buying new case for like $60 if you like to add things here and there.

  • You guys can ship un-assembled right?
Just considering getting a new PC in a few months and thinking about options :)

    • They sure do. Just mention it in the note. They can also assemble the PC and keep the boxes for you (well I'm about to find out as I should receive my Feb build tomorrow)

    • +1

Yep just say Please Ship Unassembled or similar on the note at checkout.

      • can i request the boxes & tax receipt after i've already purchased the system and its in the stages of being built, etc? if so do i just message the ebay store from my purchase?

        • +1

Yep. Whats's your username and I'll leave a note with it now.

  • Hello, a bit of a noob question. When it says OS not included, would I be able to install a copy of Windows onto one of these via USB? Like would the drivers for the USB ports already be installed in order to allow me to do that? Thanks

    • i think it's preloaded you need a license

      • +1

Thank you. Would you (or anyone else) happen to know what version it is pre-loaded with? I can't seem to find any information about this.

        • Windows 10 Home Edition OEM most likely

        • Windows 10. Needs a valid key to be added. Annoyingly your primary user folder will be in the name Techfast Australia"

    • Yep

    • EBay $8 key from a third world country

  • +1

I received my RX580 build a few weeks ago.

Well put together and running well. Only real issue is the case has very few places to affix HDDs, and doesn't seem to be able to pop out a slot to accommodate a Bluray drive. Also the (B450) motherboard has very limited expandability.

In the end I abandoned mechanical stuff forevermore, added an M2 and another SATA SSD and it's going great.

    • So you now have 2 SATA SSD's and an M.2 SSD?

      • +1

        Correct.

  • -1

    hi OP,

Looking at the Ryzen 7 2080ti for a deeplearning rig.

Would x370 be an option? - to enable multi-GPU in the future

Also, is the RAM ECC ?

  • +1

    Hi luke
Any possibility of the 2700 + 2080ti build with an x370/x470 mobo?
    Thanks

    • Second this.

    • +3

I'll look into it for you.

      • thanks again

      • -1

        hi Luke,

Are you able to do this ?
        (Plus liquid cooling ?)

    • +3

I've just added the Gigabyte Aorus X470 motherboard upgrade as an option to the listing. Add this item to your cart when purchasing system: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/192872419943

      • Another question, what case do the threadripper systems come with? And if you want the boxes the components came in as well, what should we add in the notes?

        Also you're a legend

        • Ask for original packaging and we'll provide for those we don't get OEM/unpackaged due to qty we receive in. Threadrippers are currently in Tt View 37 but that may change for orders this month. Can't be more specific at the moment sorry.

  • +1

Be aware the wait time for these systems could be 20 days to a month from build to at your door.

    • yeah, I'm currently on 23 days with no communication about progress at all, so have opened an ebay claim.

  • Is windows 10 Home edition the only OS option you have Luketech?

Any chance of win 7 pro?

    • Yeah Win 10 only mate.

  • Hi Luke,

Is it possible to upgrade the case to one of those you have available on your website? can't see the option in in upgrade section on ebay.

    Thanks.

    • Not at the moment sorry. The website is really just placeholder until we migrate to the new platform and case options probably won't be available there either until we can scale up further to accommodate.

      • Hi Luke,

It looks like the techfast ebay store items for sale have been removed?
Are you only taking orders through your website now or..?

        Thanks

        • Yeah, the whole store is empty!

        • +6

We're pausing selling to catch up. Can't confirm but I believe there is another deal around the next prominent public holiday which we expect to be really big, so now is a good time to pause and ensure we're in good shape for that. Fully focused on shipping our existing backlog this week.

          • @luketechfast: Good on you!

          • @luketechfast: Good idea to catch up. Be prepared though that if your new deals are vastly better than the ones you are still trying to catch up on to complete for more backlash. Some customers will be upset that they are only just receiving orders that were vastly delayed and that they may have been better to just get the new upcoming deals instead. So may be smart to make existing orders meet possible upcoming better prices with a partial refund or better parts if upcoming deals have them to avoid negativity and as a form of compensation to appease them.

            • @User50301: We can't get much vastly better! But take your point, and appreciate the feedback!

              • @luketechfast: Appreciate the correspondence. Would also like to add another point, that you should be extending the warranty period for all those affected customers for all outstanding orders of all different type systems, as they have lost a lot of time before even receiving their systems.

  • Is it available via afterpay or ZipPay?

  • Techfast made it onto a youtube vid, around the 3:30 mark, crazy good deal

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYf9r54UYGI

    • Thanks for the heads up!

  • Ordered a 2300x RX570 PC from techfast (eBay) on 22 February, received yesterday 1 April. 5 week wait and the PC is DOA. HDMI output wouldn't work (tried 3 cables on 2 monitors), so today I bought a displayport cable from JB Hifi, this display is basically half artifacts, although if you squint hard enough you can see the PC is stuck in a 'Windows automatic repair' bootloop. If you think techfast is testing PCs before they send them out, you are lying to yourself. They are cheap for a reason! Just spend a couple hundred extra $$ and get a proper PC.

    • +7

Your system has been damaged in transit. There have been quite a few affected by what we believe was a pallet of systems being dropped.

I tested each of those systems myself. Windows 10 is on every machine so the system is fully functional before sending. Why would we send something that doesn't work?

If you allow me the chance to fix this for you, I will. I have done it for at least 6 others with DOA 570 systems.

  • Are there any companies even close to these prices on prebuilt?

  • Hi Luke! Please help me with this issue.

I have just received my system! The pc made some really loud clicking noises. I am not quite sure what caused them. Please help me resolve this issue.

    • Hi Jason, I would say without knowing too much that a cable is hitting a fan inside the case. Could you please PM me for further assistance?
