Buy One Get One 15% off Sitewide (Min Spend $75, Max Discount $300) @ eBay

1280
PATCH

This is currently the best sitewide discount available, as eBay seems to have stopped the 10% ones. Must be the first month of the new quarter.

In particular, recent "sitewide" codes eg 10% PROUD and current 3% PLACE are only for eligible sellers (with stores). They haven't worked for used goods from private sellers and auctions.

While this offer is pretty dismal compared to ones with fewer restrictions in the past, it certainly just saved me $135 - I had two items, the lower one being $900, both from private sellers hence no other codes available.

Expiration: 1 July 2019 or earlier according to eBay Chat rep

    Disgusting kind of promotion.
    Used to be 20%

      • +14

This deal is very very annoying for OZBargainers.

      • +6

It's just a site-wide 7.5% off (and that's best case scenario). It's pretty average, and considering everything is jacked on eBay lately, it's generally just poor bottom line tactics.

        • +4

Worse, you need to get 2 items.

          • -2

            @fatice: Of near equal value.

Along with egays 3% offer down from 5%, this is just insulting.

      • +1

@ryanek I agree with you, “disgusting” sounds a bit extreme.

        Bad promo in any case.

    • +1

C'mon Wesley Snipes, it's better than nothing

  • What percentage does this work out to be for an order over $75?

    • +5

      7.5% max.

      • +1

IF both items are equal value, that's the maximum discount. Realistically it'll be far less.
        Pathetic deal.

        • +3

          Exactly.. 7.5% max.

Im never a fan of buy one then get 2nd one at xx% off.

          BOGOF OR GTFO

  • if i buy 10 items with the same price, will I get 7.5% discount overall?

    • +1

No, only 15% of second highest item.
In your case, need to separate your transactions into pairs. Max of 3 transactions per person though.

      • +1

        and minimum spend too

        • So make extra accounts to benefit.

  • what happens if you return the non discounted item?

    • "If you return or seek a refund on any item purchased using this discount, the value of the discount will not be refunded to you."

Probably open to interpretation but I would read that as you would receive a refund of the item minus the discount you received in that whole transaction regardless of which item you returned.

      • I've "bought" a 1st item before from a mate it was $1 more expensive and therefore not discounted then asked for a refund. So essentially 15% off.

      • I think that refers to the second highest item at 15% off. Eg $100, you pay $85, so if you returned it, obviously you'll only get back $85. Same as every discount code.

However, if you returned the first item, the refund is for 100% of the first item but they can't really take back your $15. The offer encouraged you to buy that second item, why should you be penalised if there is something wrong with the first item?

  • So at best 7.5% discount if you're buying 2 of the same priced items.

    • -1

Yep… and that's unlikely with the $75 minimum restriction.

  • I have a$400 item in my cart how do I get discount if I only have that saved

    • put two items in, enter code, discount applied to cheapest one.

  • +2

Okay thanks I'll wait and let it sit in my cart till at least a %10 sales cheers

  • +2

I’m in that annoying situation where I have 1 item I’m all lined up to buy, it’s the last one in stock, but I’m having to wait as I feel like it would be silly to buy with 3% off when there are so often 10% off available… but equally if someone buys it, I’ll crack it.

    • I'm in the same situation at Aliex.
All the big promos ended the end of March. Pretty annoying, I always toss buying and wait.

      • +1

Yeah I feel like the time I expend checking OzB waiting and then eventually giving in usually about 10 hours before the 10% lands. I may as well just buy it. Save the stress.

      • +1

I gave up and just bought the damn thing with the pokey 3% off. If a 10% code comes up tonight, I quit OzB

      • Twist ending: you're both watching the same item.

    • What are you buying?

      • A monitor

  • Wow, not only buy one to get discount on the second one, but cap it at $300. It will be very hard to actually gain much from using this code. Even spending on two items at $75 you will only get a discount of $11 approx. Which is peanuts.

    • Still better than nothing.

  • +1

So this is their Move for not doing 10% off Any more…..Sad

    • Have they cancelled the 10% sitewide for good now?

  • Tomorrow will be buy 2 and get the 3rd for 20% off…

  • Better than nothing, but this is measely. Not enough.
I have been buying off Amazon.au

  • +1

Had a $1100 dollar item waiting for a 10% code. Going to the shop tomorrow and see what I can get for cash.

    “Excluded Items”… Car & Truck Parts (6030)

    NEXT!
    • No wonder if didn't work for me. What a pain.

      • Yeah it sucks. I wanted to get a battery charger but it's listed under car parts so no discount.

  • Doesn't exclude Bunnings?

  • Damn - got my hopes up, nothing in my cart qualifies.

    • Oops wrong eBay post! I meant to post to the one with PLOT10 - clearly I've lost the plot

  • Hi all
New to OZ, 2 questions hope to get some help:
    1. it only allows user to use up to 3 times with all of eBay accounts, I have tried to use 4th time in my account 2 but it failed, how to avoid this? using another PayPal account?
    2. eBay is getting cheap this year but overseas still have a fighting chance, anyone get banned by using a US or Uk account domestic? I want to grab some bargain but certainly won't risk it if means I can't access to eBay…

    Many thanks

    • Private message me. I can't seem to send you a message.

  • Any idea why I'm unsuccessful buying 2 luggage from bagworldaustralia ? This code can't be applied to your order. !!

    • Having same issue trying to buy something from Bing Lee.

  • Hi there guys, I was about to buy 2 items which costs $500 each, but it looks like the code doesn't work anymore. Can anyone confirm this?

    • Same here, it disappeared from my eBay summary and I tried it too with no luck, looks like they ended it early.

There's a decent chance it will be replaced so if you can wait I would recommend that.

      • Hi there mate, thanks for the reply :)

Yeah doesn't look like it's there anymore. I'll wait and see if there's another deal like this in the near future.

        Cheers man
