Sorry? I've used this app on multiple carriers (on each of the 3 networks), all worked fine, it's just mobile data. Any particular reason why can't you login to this app on Virgin? E.g. Have Virgin blocked the 7-eleven servers?
Ya, it's been like that from the start, seems to be Virgin network specifically. Works fine on flight mode but as soon as I reconnect to my network it gets all buggy. I get the Golf error when I log in on my network 'we have an issue we are working on it', not a username/password error.
Wow, okay, that would be very annoying! My best guess is either Virgin have IP blocked those servers (which seems rather unlikely since it requires deliberate effort), or they have stuffed up their DNS (which requires no deliberate effort). Most likely it's the latter; I have even seen well-regarded broadband ISPs have faulty DNS, and as soon as you change from the ISP's DNS to Google DNS or OpenDNS the problems would go away - and this wasn't anything unusual, it was bread-and-butter stuff like internet banking not working.
Unfortunately you cannot manually change the DNS when connected to the mobile network (same for both Android and iOS). So you either need Virgin to fix their DNS, or to use WiFi, or go into flight mode, or to change carriers. You can report it Virgin, but liable to take ages to fix (hard to get the report to the person who needs to fix it). Frankly, I'd change carriers as soon as I was out of contract. Virgin is using the Optus network, and there are plenty of other options on the Optus network that I know work fine with the 7-eleven app (including Optus themselves, Amaysim, and Ovo).
@nickj: I changed to kogan carrier this week and I'm successfully logged in the app! Too bad I missed out on the free donut haha
After giving them another go, I hereby declare that Krispy Kreme make the worst tasting donuts of all the franchises and make me feel sicker than any other brand as well (I don't get headaches from any other food). I liked the idea of the sauce inside anyway.
Maybe I should have had the mystery flavoured light coloured one?

After constructive feedback, I've updated my opinion.
Krispy Kreme taste as good as Ice Magic.
Would have been better if it was just a free donut of any variety. Then it would have at least lasted longer. I assume each store only has 4 - 6 specific hot cross donuts per day, so impossible to get one. I checked three Sydney CBD stores around 12pm. All out of them out individually. I saw one store that had a few four packs of hot cross. I should have taken a four pack to the side, and taken one out :|
711 App offers are useless, especially for people that cannot get to a store before lunch.
At least there is the $1 Thickshake offer at maccas, and I can go and get that anytime (provided machine is not broken). Don''t need to race to be first 6 tightasses in the morning.

To get you in the store. The best outcome for them is that you go into the store, and find it empty. Free foot traffic.

Just a question, you recharge the card so you can lock on the fuel price. Will you get charge if you didn't fuel up when the locked on expired?
No. The credit will remain in your account until you specify that you want to use it to pay for fuel, or whatever else you buy from the shop. You can just keep the credit in the app to continue locking in in the future. Just use cash or other cards to pay each time instead.
Went to one of the petrol station and they ran out of the single hot. CRoss donuts but I told the staff but it’s available in the 4 packs box. She was helpful to unpack the box and allow me to get it from the packs

I tried 6 different 7/11s in Melbourne before I found one.
Got the last one and a lady behind me in the queue got quite upset about it.
Was told in one of several Chapel St 7/11s that I could buy a 4 pack of them but they weren't available as freebies using the app. I wouldn't recommend that store…Visited 4 711 stores in Syd CBD, none available at 1pm, except one, in which the scanner wasn’t working. The stores know it’s a freebie day, why can’t they order more stock, or at least fix their shit.
