Another STAPLES Free $20 Voucher (Different to GAME20)

3040
OFF20

First of all, I used the GAME20 code after the issues came up (so I ordered on Thursday) and received my order today, so I'm comfortable with posting this deal.

The Staples launch in Melbourne @ Fed Square were giving out freebies and inside is a $20 off voucher!

Attempted to use with the GAME20 code but you can only use one per time unfortunately.

So for those of you who have already used the GAME20, use this code!

Apologies for the bad photo quality too!

mod -> OP

Thank you for uploading the image :)
I moved the updated image here and changed the link to a direct link to Staples.

The reason being:
- it makes it easier later to find this in the list of Staples deals
- the upload really helps people too, to see where the code cames from

Thank you

Agreed, is it that hard to send it upward?

      • +1

Yeah, just wow. No QLD? Really??

Potential future customer lost, even without the voucher.

        • It is pretty amazing and idiotic at the same time.

        • its not like there will never be delivery to qld

    • +5

Whats with all the negs? I didn't neg the deal.

      • +1

        Unnecessary aggression?

        • People are offended by "stupid morons"? Talk about touchy

        • +9

Agreed AntMan, very thin skinned of them!

I've always thought that 'stupid morons' was a term of endearment; or a euphemism for 'colleagues'! :p

      • +10

I did it just for fun :)

        • +4

      • It says limit of 10 doesn't it? I updated it in my cart.

      • +4

Buy it as 10 single reams of paper instead of buying the box of 5 reams.

        • What brand paper did you get?

        • +3

          The white one

        • +3

          @redmo0n

  • +8

why does ppl need so much paper!?!

    • +3

So we can make people write out "Why do people need so much paper?" 50,000 times.

    • +1

"Never argue with someone who buys ink by the barrel and paper by the ton."

    • need to restock after 7/11.

  • not just paper!!! coke!!!

  • +2

It's excellent when a new retailer is making a push into the market.

But hell the prices on most of the stuff is high, eh?

The 320GB 2.5" drives are back to $99 (from $29)

The 1TB 3.5" USB 3 drives have completely vanished (were $50)

I got reams of paper with the GAME20 code, I even bought bulldog clips and Sharpies!

Is there anything else worthwhile on the site?

    • +2

The 1TB 3.5" USB 3 drives have completely vanished (were $50)

I could have done with one of those :(

    • They have Duracell Low Self Discharge Rechargeable batteries 4 pack for $27ish

      • Out of stock.

    • +1

i got 500g coffee, still cheap!

      • haha now iv got 1kg coffee for $11!

    • I noticed the same thing with their previous GAME20 deal. Once this deal is over, those items will return. Probably because they have a higher profit margin on them? Dont know.

    • I got a new pair of earphones (Phillips) for $3.99, maybe get a spare pair? They have pretty coloured ones for $10 too, if you wanna get fancy :p

      • +1

save up all the money you use on shitty ones and get a decent pair

  • -1

thx, just got a printer for $14 now i can throw the other ones away i got for $17 each and the ink had run out

  • +5

I would buy paper, but I still havent even used the paper from the BigW deal lol. I dont know what to buy :S

  • good offer for those applicable!

    • nice find1

  • +7

awesome deal! just bought 10 realms of paper, should be enough for my remaining 2.5 years of uni ehh?

    • +37

I would think that one REALM of paper would be enough for anyone.

      • +2

How did you get into in the paper realm, while i'm still stuck here in the mortal realm?

      • For an Engineering student, definitely not!

  • +2

Flyer says the code is good until the 30 Jun 2011. I'm saving this one for a future special. Don't need anymore paper. Thanks OP.

    • +1

      Same, thx

      • Ditto! Thanks OP! :)

  • +1

    sigh, still no WA

  • +2

This is an awesome deal once again from Staples and Officeworks must be losing revenue.

    • I'm sure OW don't have 10 reams of paper for $5.50.

Sure they may lose our coin if we were to buy from them, but i dont think many of us need multiple reams of paper in one go.

      • +9

A $20 off voucher creates more word of mouth and happy customers than, say, a TV ad campaign costing the same money.

        • ^I wish more companies learnt that. Mainstream advertising is very expensive, and the customer would rather get a cheaper product.

        • yep i agree… i'm thinking of switching from OW to Staples for my future online office purchases…

        • ahhhh the old word of mouth and happy customers. Oz bargain made me forget that, we only usually talk about crappy companies, eg dell lol.

I did suggest staples to a colleague though, before the $20 vouchers came out, pity they don't have a storefront in Sydney.

    • Staples earns a revenue of $27 billion a year globally, they've just started out in Australia so they're trying to get their name out there.

  • too bad they don't have the 1tb hdd

  • I still couldn't log in from the last time the screwed up

  • +1

Anyone know if they are able to ship to PO Boxes? I didn't see any mention of who they use for delivery on their site, but by the way things were worded I'm not hopeful (that its AusPost/AAE etc).

    • Star track express.

  • Thank you. So, I can order more ink tanks to stock up ^.^

  • i wanna order some bushells tea but what are the chances i get the extra strong flavour. It does show on the image but so do 2 other varieties.

Lol, got myself 3 500g Arnotts biscuits for $5.50 delivered with the other $20 voucher. Worth it, going to give it to my mum for brownie points.

  • apparently its melbourne only

  • +12

Well, anyone else search for staples on staples? (I genuinely need staples as my stapler has run out of staples and I need to urgently restaple my reports as the old staples are starting to unstaple themselves. x6) Good thing Staples have 463 staple-related items.

    http://www.staples.com.au/SearchEngine-staple

Huzzah! Free staples all round :P Staple here, staple there, staple staple everywhere! Great deal for us stapilophiliacs!

    • +2

… er … I'm beginning to worry about Staples in my tea ;)

    • careful, typing staples into staples will bring down the internet!

  • +1

Awesome! Got myself 200 bags of green tea and two Sharpie markers for $5.50 :D Thanks OP!

  • Chips, biscuits and tea!!!!

  • Awesome, bagged a $20 4gb USB stick for free, paid $5.50 for delivery which is fine by me!

    • +4

you do realise u can get a 8gb usb stick for $20 there too, with 5.50 shipping

      • +1

I might go with the 4Gb micro usb just for kicks

  • +2

    Instead of opening new stores

Staples first need to hire some good web professional to create the website and a good tester to test if everything is fine.

Getting java script errors and object missing errors on a web page is unacceptable.

    Cheers
    JRT
    Testing Professional:)

    • I'm sure being the 3rd largest online retailer in the world they'll get onto. dont forget the site is quite new and quite complex (might not seem so on the front).

      • Ive been questioning this, as it appears the Australian site is the same as the US site, and as a guess expect the backend of the system to be the same, so its hard to tell what the issue is if its not a hardware related issue.

    • There're broken images here and there.
After I save some items like the 8gb usb disk $19 into a shopping list it doesn't appear there.

And I've been getting this error after entering my credit card info…

Oops, something's gone wrong. Please go back and try again or, if pain persists, please call us on 1800-STAPLES

  • thanks bought 9 rj45 cat5e network cables

  • +6

Seems Staples has already established its reputation on OZB, and no one has any doubt now.

    • +4

Which happens to be the least profitable segment of customers in Australia. C'mon we're all a bunch of cheap-skates and you know it :)
