Sony Bravia KD65X9000F 65" UHD LED LCD Smart TV $2245.50 + Delivery (Free C&C) @ The Good Guys eBay

200
PEEL20

Hello fellow bargain people.

Looks like the going price for the 65” X9000F is back down to the 2.5k mark (having been back up at 3k for a bit after the last discounts).

So with the 10% off code it’s down to $2,245.50 via TGG eBay with the code

Free click and collect or otherwise postage will add on the fee. For me it’s $80.64. For my “totally legit” address I use to see Bing Lee TVs it’s $54.64 so your results will vary.

You can get the TV $3 cheaper through VideoPro eBay store if you can pickup from them, otherwise their postage is $77 I believe
Can anyone tell me how to link it so the ozbargain entity for the product is linked as a “related product” so that for people who have it saved in their list can click on it and this deal will show up
Either a mod fixed it or it just took a while to do the linkage.

  • Whats the cheapest its been?

  • I notice only 1 store near me has it in stock and want delivery, does that mean it'll be delivered from that store?
    Is that how it works?

    • I honestly have no idea. They might deliver from a central warehouse. I suppose you could call your local and ask or ask the question via the Ebay messaging thing.

Your tag was missing Bravia, so I updated the tag for you.

    • <3 my unsung hero. Thank you, I’ll try to remember that for next time!

  • FALD goodness

I’ve been eyeing off the 55” since it was the x9000e while also wondering if our usage at home is varied enough for an OLED.

My mate was looking to get a 65” OLED but after he read the burn in concerns (he will be using it primarily for gaming) he ended up with an 75” x9000f. Got to see it in action last weekend and it was bloody nice.

Basically I think whichever happens first I’ll get (well, ask the wife):
      LG/Panasonic OLED 55” for ~$1,500
      Sony 55” X9F for ~$1,300
      Sony 65” X9F for ~$2,000

One of my main issues with tvs these days is none of them have a swivel stand anymore (or at least the ones I want). We use the swivel daily. I suppose I’ll just have to wall mount with swivel.

Sorry for the essay in response to a simple statement about local dimming. Helps the thought process getting it out there 😂

Id definitely recommend going with the 65” over the smaller screen or you will be in the same position im in right now and wanting to go bigger after 12 months..

      • I have 55 as a bedroom TV. Definitely, 65 or larger for a lounge room

I have an LG 55" B7 - great TV. I am paranoid about the burn in though. They look amazing, but something inside me thinks that just a very good FALD LCD is the ticket to put your mind at ease. Either way you'll be happy, given the price of OLED these days.

I blew my load too soon for my bedroom TV and got a $900 Hisense 65" P6 a few months back. A good TV, but I'm wishing I just held out for a quality OLED or FALD LCD. It's worth waiting for the quality.

I asked at JB HIFI Parramatta today if he thought they might drop the price again due to the new Sonys coming and his response was probably not due to them being popular and limited stock left..if i can get the 65” for $2100 or under im getting one but im worried stock will be gone before that happens again..

Ive got the 55” version so its not a “need to buy” or id spend the extra couple hungy and grab it now..

    • Your comment only makes me want the 65” more now. I’ve had a 55” since 2012 but the good model 65” TVs always seem a LOT more expensive than the 55” models.

I was wondering with the X95Gs basically here if we might see some deeper discounts.

Actually my mate I mentioned above when he got his 75”, he basically went to JB and said “I know these have been Under $3,500 recently, what can you do?” when they were at $3,999 and they sold it to him for $3,395 so maybe you could try the same?

      • Ye thats my plan i think. Im in Sydney for the weekend so i have my choice of shops, but the rain and carting it 5 hours in the back of my ute worries me..

        • Hmm indeed. Good luck!

    • I bought the 75 inch ($3996) yesterday at JB in Melville WA and agree with the price comment above, not willing to move much on price due to popularity and lowish stock.

Also as an FYI only 24 of the 75's are showing in JB's system OZ wide as of last night.

Looks like the replacement X95G will be more money for sure with only marginal better performance.

      Act fast, buy now!

      • uhm actually!
all reviews suggest x95 has noticeably worse image quality.
the only upgrade u're getting is better android tv experience and a nicer remote

        • Could you please link to these tests?

Rtings is generally accepted to be among the best and most thorough reviewers and they didn’t say anything like that from memory

“The Sony X900F and the Sony X950G both have very similar performance. The X950G has lower input lag, which is good if you play video games or use the TV as a PC monitor. The X950G is brighter than the X900F, but the X900F has marginally higher native contrast ratio, although neither of these differences are noticeable under normal conditions.”

          • @Occas: i wouldnt call it marginal, especially on the 75 and 82 inch models,
the contrast was mediocre to begin with…
of course I own an LG OLED so i'm probably a bit biased and disappointed with the black levels

now this review is not the most credible, but still worth considering

Now $2,220.50 via Bing Lee’s 11% off online sale

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/454557

    • It says it ends at 9am..whats up with that..?

      • “Limited time” sales can make people buy first think later but yeah it’s a bit average

Got this 65" bad boy for a rookie $3000 7 months ago. Great TV, no regrets.

    • Geezuz..thats gotta hurt.. it happens all the time with tech stuff but..just pays to do some research to see if new models etc are on there way..

  • +2

No nuts, like I said - no regrets. Was $450 off ticket price at the time.
If you keep waiting for the price to go down you end up with old tech and missing out on something you want.
Happy to be an early adopter when it comes to my gadgets.
