Yes based on previous experience, the person at the checkout processed the gift card as a separate transaction so I could use the E gift card for groceries

Last time I went in and bought them the morning they went on sale. They sold out in store pretty quickly, but thankfully they did restock them before the week's end, as they are a standard item they stock.

8 in a single transaction is good to know but 'and fewer' is a bit vague, perhaps it's based on the coupon percentage?
@Niczoom: Seems the eBay system only allows up to 8 codes to be entered, so if you've entered a promo code, this leaves 7 gift card codes that you can enter. Not sure if this is a recent change.
But also note the following comment by andrew1879:
"I tried to use the PMUM20 code on the weekend as well as a gift card that I'd previously purchased from ebay UK. Although both codes were accepted ebay prioritised the gift card (would have applied it first) so that the 20% discount was ineffective. This seems to be a change, as I'd been able to use discount codes plus gift card previously."

and the $5k per month limit was never applied to mine
maybe I got lucky

that was my experience,
it could revert back to the terms and conditions at any time
there was a time when I had massive headaches with ebay gift cards
the t/cs say any balance is transferred to your account,
and guess what, it didnt and I threw the cards out
ebay support was useless

1000 points for $50 too as it says valid on all denominations. You can buy up to $500 value with 10k bonus points in one transaction at self-checkout.
