@kaebomb: Just found out that Vo-LTE works on Snapdragon model. Comment from whirlpool,

"Snapdragon S10+ arrived today (G9750). Despite what everybody said, including the seller, VoLTE worked out of the box on Telstra. "

              • @InternetExplorer: Hey what kind of adaptor did you get with your phone?

                • @kaebomb: Didn't get mine yet, Just ordered it today. You will need $2 plug adaptor to convert to AU plug. But I don't use the included charger anyway for my phones because I have a Macbook Pro charger with a long cord

                  • @InternetExplorer: I was seriously considering getting a blue grey import S10 from Kogan seeing as though it's not offered locally but then their website is vague and doesn't say which processor exactly. I've now ordered a local one with this deal.

          • @InternetExplorer: 4 major banks don't support MST on Samsung pay, only NFC. so technically no use of MST in Australia.

      • True but I'll be getting Note 10 when its out and moved to GS10+ from Note 9. So no plans of using it for so long and mymobile is on the better side of grey importers.

    • Do they provide invoice with ABN? If can claim TRS it's worth it.

    • After April update I'm glad I got Exynos. Compared to my mates s10e SD that he saved $20 on and had imported, my one now get much better battery life and it got security updates a week earlier too. Photos are exactly the same.

  • Damn. Bought a + two weeks ago for $1200

    • Same.. =(

    • I bought the S10 2 weeks ago and just opened it 2 days ago. Now it's $68 cheaper :(

      • I mean you can return it and re buy it under the 14 day return thing. Not sure if it works if it's been opened.

        • Unfortunately not…

"4. from Samsung's change of mind policy. https://www.samsung.com/au/estore/static/link_mindpolicy_p/

          Should've waited 2 days :D

  • S10+ 128GB is gone

    • +1

At the time of commenting, I can still see S10+ 128gb available to add to cart at $974.35, save $525.00 (Was $1,499.00).
Still available in Prism Black, Prism White and Prism Green. The 128gb just doesn't come in Ceramic Black or Ceramic White as these are reserved for the Hybrid/Dual SIM variants. The Prism colours are single SIM with only micro sd card capability.
Note - I am viewing these stock levels and prices from the Westpac Customer Offers Store (same 35% off deal).

      • Thanks mate, did not notice that!

      • Were you able to get a screenshot of the page for the 128gb S10+ Prism Black? I was hoping to attempt to use price protection on my CC. Thanks

      • Is it still there?

        • Yep

  • Does anyone know what the delivery time gonna be?

    • mine said next business day for the metropolitan area, so im assuming on monday next week.

      This is what they say:
If your order is placed before 2pm AEST, your expected delivery is before 12:00pm next business day for most metropolitan areas. If your order is placed after 2pm AEST, your expected delivery is before 12:00pm on the following business day.

      • that reads tuesday

      • Wow, so even I order during the weekend, then I still should get it by Tuesday latest?

      • Yeah I'm expecting my order to be shipped out next business day, on monday too. It said free express shipping. When I ordered a phone with the last 30% off deal at the end of April, it arrived within 3 days of being shipped out but I can't recall if that one said express or standard delivery (it was also free). I'm in Sydney btw.

        • Thanks.
I am in Perth, take 1-7 business days for reginal areas. Sad.

        • I'm in Perth and my previous order said 1-7 days standard shipping but came via Star Track Express in 2 days.

          • @KupoHo: I am flying out on Wed, so quite a risky order.

            • @johnnyle: I had ordered mine on the weekend…I think might have been public holidays as well..

It takes one day for it to get to Perth but when it gets picked up for delivery depends on which flight it's on…Maybe you can ask to pick up from depot if it's an option since they are usually near the airport? Good luck :)

  • Lucky im lazy & cbf'd with the ebay gift cards. Although now I have the option of the s10 hrmmm.

  • I have still got $900 worth of eBay GCs from that 15% discount from the UK a while ago and couldn't get a reputable local seller that has the S10 Plus around the $1000 mark with the gift cards and eBay promos. Have just pulled the plug on the S10+ from this deal and will use those GCs for other stuff. Thanks, OP.

  • This might sound really silly. But given that westpac customer have access to this deal is there a slim chance that optus customers have access to same deal. Or is this wishful thinking 🤔..

I cant seem to find anything on optus perks

    • Employees not customers.

      • Customers as well. I have this discount under offers in my Westpac credit card

  • Do you think tafe students would be eligible for this?

    • Yes, you are. Provided you have a .edu email address

  • Just had a look via the WESTPAC app. I’ve had a WESTPAC account for over 20 years. Can confirm the discount is available via WESTPAC app.

  • Is there Samsung Galaxy Buds available via the education store? If so, does anyone know what price it is?

    • +1

just looked, galaxy buds are $199.20 on edu store

  • Does anyone know how the education store takes to multiple purchases?

    • +3

"You are strictly limited to ordering a maximum of five (5) Products from any Product category group per calendar year (being 1 January to 31 December). We may vary this product limit from time-to-time in our absolute discretion by providing notice."

      • love your work

  • +1

Anyone know if price matching with Officeworks would work to get the further 5% price reduction? Wonder if they accept a screenshot showing the model, price and Samsung url at the top.

    • Not the ones I've been to in Melbourne, they look up the website themselves and usually go to the normal site.

  • Can anyone see S10+ 128gb?

    • The S10+ Prism Black/Green/White are all showing 128gb available (Single SIM) in my Education Portal as of now.

  • +2

With S10+ 1Tb version you can get a free galaxy active watch.
    Offer ends 31st May

    • +1

Spending that much on a phone i would have expected the full Galaxy watch.

    • I’m actually interested in the watch, but couldn’t figure out how. It’s not there after I placed a S10+ 1TB version in the cart.

      • Click herefor samsung official page link saying bonus samsung watch

      • From their bricks and mortar retail stores only

        • If the watch is only available from retail stores, can I still purchase the phone in a retail store at the same price as online education store?

          • @obliq: Sorry, I am not too sure.
Best to check with one of the stores

          • @obliq: Brick & mortar stores and the online store are independent of one another. Physical stores will only provide 15% discount on phones.

  • Almost bought but i want Snapdragon model

  • They are clearing out all 4g versions as the 5g are coming out in a few months. This is basically like last year’s phone already. You could view the 5g versions as the S11 in effect hence the big price drops. Not sure how these have been selling in relation to Samsung’s forecasts. Maybe people haven’t been prepared to pay such high prices especially when the 5g version was coming. So maybe more unsold stock than anticipated that they have to move in a few months hence bigger price drop.

    • I figured it's due to the imminent 5g release in aus.. but I'm with voda and I guess I'm content with just 4g for now as I don't think voda will have their 5g network anytime soon. Also need a new phone desperately so I don't mind buying one at this price.

    • will the price drop further when 5g are out? i looked at previous history s8, s9, the price drop 40% from release in 1-1.3 year's time, so a 35% after 2 month is very good imo. i dont need 5g do u think it'll drop much further (like $150+)?

    • I was wondering if something was wrong with the phone for the price drop! Thanks for the likely explanation.

  • great price for a fantastic phone!

    • Do you prefer S10e or S10?

  • +2

    This should be tagged 'Targeted'

  • Waiting on the A70, assuming the offer returns . .

  • If you bank with Westpac in the Internet Banking portal you will see rewards and offers. Click the Samsung link and 30% prices available

  • +1

Talked to Samsung Store rep.he informed we cannot use trade up credit to buy from partner website as its already discounted price

  • Just out of curiosity these 35% deals are very popular however any reason why the Telstra 50% deals weren't mentioned very much here

    50% is an amazing discount

    I'm happy with my S8

    • +4

I'm happy with my S8 too.. trying to fight the ozb impulse against a good bargain

      • +3

        yep!
        everytime I see a note9 or s10 bargain
im like …..should I, do I, do I need one? why?

    • +2

Probably because there are less people who work for Telstra than there are students and other organisational employees who qualify for the EPP.

  • S10+ or OnePlus 7 ?

    • Probably worth wait next Tu see Oneplus 7 release

    • One plus will be grey import won’t it? No Australian warranty.

  • Very tempting specially if you can claim TRS.

  • Very good price, but sadly dual sim only on 512G model, which I really don’t need that much.

  • is there a limit to the number of handsets you can purchase as an educational customer?

Very good price and I am so tempting. I actually nearly bought it last night.
But I will hold my pocket since it is not a snapdragon 855 version. Exynos version is much slower and drain your battery significantly quicker, even snapdragon 845 has a batter performance than exynos 9820.

After I watched a lot of review on YouTube.

One plus 7 pro is coming and OPPO Reno 10x Zoom edition are my favourite.

Performance and battery Comparison videos can be found in the links below on YouTube.

    https://youtu.be/ts6DWsktKxY
    https://youtu.be/shrYnaxVenE

    • I share the same thoughts with you after doing my own research. How would you be able to get one plus 7 pro in Australia though? Also no headphone jack on it. You'd have to import it and it would be pretty expensive?

How would I get a snapdragon in Aus and from reading there's no warranty if I bought off international ebay?

Just wanted to bring to light that Exynos is not compatible with Google Cam app, only Snapdragon too

      • +1

I think eBay can be a good source to get the Greg import. If you are really keen on s10 plus, HongKong version is the best option, of course you r gonna sacrifice the warranty.

For me, I have given up s10 plus. Will wait 3 more days to see how 1plus 7 pro pricing, and specs are, then I would decide if is OPPO Reno 10 zoom edition.

OPPO Reno offers international factory warranty which is indicated on their website.

$895 for S10 dual sim with snapdragon, but no Australian warranty… What to do !!

          • @drjw7: Not to do. It is s10 not s10 plus.

            • @pzhon: Sorry I meant for myself, I am wanting the S10 over S10+
What would you recommend, get off this site and give up warranty or go with Samsung Education portal and give up Google camera and Snapdragon…?

            • @pzhon: Thoughts on the one plus 7 pro? I want to get it over the s10, but it is just so damn big. I thought the s10+ was a bit big in my hand, had to reach for the corners but the op7 is even bigger.. HMMM what to do

              • @drjw7: why? U don’t like big phones?
There r so many benefits to have a big phone,
                1 longer battery life
                2 better performance
                3 better viewing experience

                Vs

                Reachability

                Lol

    • +1

i looked at benchmarks and every one of them 9820 is between 855 and 845 so i dont know where u got that from, but they didn't show power usage. why doesnt australia get 855?

i wanted to get a less known brand flagship grey but ozbargainers have scared me not to buy non aussie phone. i dont even know what disadvantages other than warranty exist for greys. ozbarginers have a way getting into people's heads.

  • How do you actually get the discount?
I have Australian government email id. I signed up and then added the item in my cart, and still showing the original price, i.e., no discount.
What do I have to do in addition to having a Australian government email id as my registered email address?

  • Are the phones unlocked to any provider?

  • Wondering if someone can help me…

So I'm looking to finally upgrade from my S7.
The 2 most important things to me are that it has great battery life (and can handle occasional gaming), as well as a great camera (that is as least as good as my S7).

I think I've narrowed it down to the following 3 phones: Pixel 3A, S10e and the Huawei P30 Pro.

Now I know that all these phones have their advantages and disadvantages, and are in different price brackets, but I still can't decide which one is the real bang for the buck!

To be honest, I'm leaning more and more to the S10e, as it seems to be the best all rounder of the the 3 phones I've mentioned above, due to specs and price. But I'm worried that camera and battery life won't be as good as my S7.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks :)

    • I owned the S7 edge, and I would personally go for the S10e. 3A if you value your camera more.
I've tried Huawei's OS, but am not a huge fan of the restrictions and tend to stay away from them; however, some love it.
I would personally get the S10E as I think its the better phone overall - better build quality and features - camera quality will be better than your S7.

      Just my 2 cents :)
