Stack TheFork's (formally Dimmi) Amex Spend $50 or More Get $20 Credit deal with Entertainment Book

690

Not sure if this is deal worthy but I have made a list of potentially stackable deals between TheFork and Entertainment Book. I only went through Sydney and Melbourne because the other cities only had 10 deals or less so it would of been easy to do by hand.

Amex Statement Credit - Spend $50 or More Get $20 Credit

UPDATE 1 - Expanded search radius for cities and also added Brisbane and Adelaide. Tried searching for Perth but couldn't find any matches
UPDATE 2 - Added Canberra and removed duplicates
UPDATE 3 - Added 30 or so more for Sydney

  • Good work. Being lazy I must check Perth myself.

Can’t stack - well I’ve never been able to.
    It’s one or the other

    • +1

Should be able to. You are not really using a TheFork offer, but just the booking element of it. The $20 back is from Amex, not TheFork.

      • Well they need to give commission to TheFork, so it's up to the restaurants whether they can stack.

please check before comment mate.. please

well i've had experiences where bookings via dimm/thefork have lead to no further offers applicable as the booking was via dimmi, but your mileage may vary

    • This deal is an Amex deal through theFork, fulfillment will be handled by Amex, who have no idea whether the entertainment book was used or not.

  • Stack 50% discount as well?

    • hmmm..you mean those 50% offers in TheFork? To be honest, that's what i'm unsure of, worth a try i guess.

  • I think you doubled up on the Sydney list, as most of the Melbourne list are in Sydney.

    • +1

My bad. Hang on, let me re-run the script for Melbourne.

      • You made a script? Nice!

    • Fixed.

I did stack Ent book and this last time Amex had $20 off $50 , never occurred to me it was a deal to post in OzB. +1 for your effort OP. I double dipped Amex shop small too :)

  • The best deal I've found for Melbourne is at Red Spice Rd for their lunch express.
    Stack:
    a) 25% Entertainment book
    b) Split payment:
    - $50 on Amex (or multiple Amex's) and
    - Any good food or gourmet traveller gift card (when they where 10-20% off)

  • can confirm this works with Entertainment Book complimentary meal offer

  • Heh heh.

Triple stack with free Citibank Wine

    • Don't you need to pay with Citibank to get it?

      • +1

Technically yes lol. I've not been called out before.

        • Nice, didnt know that.
One of my family members have one

I guess you could splitbthe bill and use amex and Citibank, then use entertainment book while enjoying your bottle of wine!

          • +8

@Samsungnote10: Yes, if needed, that's an option.

I once stacked five deals to get practically a free meal.
            -Citi (free wine)
            -Entertaimnent (25%)
            -Good Food Gift Card (20%)
-Woolworths gift card discount to buy Good Food (5%)
            -Dimmi $20 reward redemption (-$20)

I'm now trying to figure out how to stack six…. it's a game for me at this point.

            • @The Wololo Wombat: When I tried to use the $20 reward a few months ago, the venue said the rules are that you need two people to dine :(

5.5.6. Minimum of 2 people must dine to use the $20 reward. One $20 reward redemption per booking only.

    Legend OP for creating this.

Here is a list a created about a year ago for BNE.. It's outdated now but a good start.

  • Don't touch Osteria Antica (Annadale) for this deal. They put up a "Cash Only" sign for TheFork bookings.

    • That'd be misleading then wouldn't it? Have you tried reporting this to TheFork?

  • Most places in WA don’t allow you to stack the Citi card and the EB voucher. Only the Woodvale Tavern as long as you spend $50 minimum.

  • Thanks Op, for the list!

Did Red Spice today, confirmed double dip: voucher is accepted and email from Amex received.

Moving onto Taxi, Burma, and BB over the next few weeks…

    • I think only one per Amex card, unless U have more Amex and the fork account

      • No, can use an Amex at multiple restaurants as long as they are on the Fork Amex deal. I only have one Fork and Amex account.

Although, maybe there is a restriction of once per "a restaurant", which anyway is ok with many options to choose from and moving on…

        • so have you been to other restaurants and kept getting cash back?

  • This Amex spend 50 get 20 credit can only be used once per Amex card during this promotion period I guess?

  • +1

Don't think there is a limit, I've used it twice during the promotion
