30% off Logitech Craft Advanced Keyboard with Creative Input Dial $209.30 @ JB Hi-Fi

100

Came across JB's 30% off most Logitech products. Been eyeing on this keyboard and probably it's still too much for what it is. Officeworks has quickly updated their price to $209 to avoid Price Beats. Same price at Amazon AU.

There are a few exclusions for example the Logitech MX Master 2s, Tablet keyboards etc.

  • All of my peripherals are Logitech but I refuse to buy a Logi keyboard since they made it generic Windows/Mac (with the alt/cmd key).

    Good price though

I dig this keyboard because it supports multi device at a switch of a button. You can basically pair this to a PC, Mac or tablet and just tap the 1, 2 or 3.

I have the compact k780 but I miss the full size keyboard. This looks quite premium and I like how the function key is placed far away from the Control Alt Windows area.

    • and what's wrong with it being generic for you… as long as it doesn't change the way you use it?

Because he thinks a company that caters to both Mac and Windows should just support Windows.

        • from the comment it does seem that way

I have both mac and windows and use both regularly and to be honest it's a godsend when I don't need to think about if I'm using pressing the command key or the windows key and obviously get different functions.

@fxxxit Just because it benefit others doesn't mean you have to dislike it.
Apologies if that's not what your intention was but it just seems a little like that!

Stop using Intel chipsets and processors also because Intel supplies processors for PC and Mac both.

You all have valid points. I am being petty but its my choice. I dont like it and simply wont buy it. I currently have a G-series Logi that suits me and am happy with it.

@bigbadboogieman I'm not complaining about the support. I cant see the Intel chip in my computer so I dont care.

      • So it's cosmetic?

You like windows, but not Unix? (max, linux, BSD, etc)

        • Sure lets call it cosmetic. Its not that I dont like Unix I just dont use it so prefer my keyboards to be Windows specific which is what I have. Simple as that.

  • I paid around this much for an analogue keyboard with replaceable switches.

Why is this thing so expensive?

    • At this point, people would buy this purely for its design. And it would be a very small amount of people who care enough to buy it.

    • What is an analogue keyboard? Is it a mechanical linkage typewriter?

I bought this for $170 on ebay after a cashback deal. The dial isn't worth the extra $ but a nice keyboard. Save your dollars

  • any other options for a wireless backlit keyboard with num pad? (apart from the k800)
only reason i'm lookin to buy this

This one support multi device if that helps in your set up.

What that means is that it can be switched from a Mac to Pc or Tablet by pressing a button if these devices were paired.

Also the keyboard has a software called Flow which allows you to copy something to the clipboard, say from your PC to your Mac.

    • I think the other only option for Logitech is the K830. I have hips of Logitech keyboards. K780 is good for daily use, but no backlit. K800 is too big for my desk. K830 can't adjust the angel, and the touch pad is not so good.

    • Sadly K800 is it really. But that said, I have two of them and they are great.

  • I am a bit confused and cannot find the answer from Logitech website.
Is it a mechanical keyboard? If yes is it similar to a brown or blue switch?
    Thanks

    • It’s definitely not a mechanical keyboard. It has the soft touch and I think it uses the ‘butterfly clasp’ style buttons like the MacBook Pro

$209 at Officeworks in case anyone cares :-)

    • So price match then :)

    • I’ve already mentioned that in my post. It’s 30 cents cheaper than JB asp you can’t price beat anyways.
