If issued by Citi .. I’m out

Citi never approves my credit cards applications and I'm a doctor. Fricken retards.

There some people in the St George credit card thread implying/suggesting that some cc companies are actually looking for people who won't pay their bills on time, as they make their money from interest on late payments.

    • I am a doctor and Citi accepted my application for latest 90k qantas points offer

    42K? Meh.

  • Any Qantas club entry?

    • Nope afraid not but $29 for 42000 qantas points is not a bad deal

$6k minimum spend is getting Ridiculous too

  • so.. MINIMUM SPEND IS $6000 - $1000 for SIX MONTHS - not a good deal, as one needs to meet that for that length of time..

and for the small amount of points.

    I'll keep looking.

  • These Qantas-branded cards are pretty trash.

Annual fees in the first year, lots of hoops to jump through for the bonus points, issued by Citi, etc.

  • So apparently even when you have the full points for a flight you still have to pay money after?
i was looking at tokyo flights and apparently even after 72,000 points for return flights you have to pay like $180 each way? You can get flights for like $550-600 ($700 if we wanna go with direct i guess), it hardly seems worth it.
Am i right in that? or did i read the wrong thing about how much extra you have to pay?

  • So there is no 12 month exclusion or anything if you have held a qantas premier card before?
