There's always smart assess on here. :). I never heard of CR or SB till I found this site.

        • 🙂

          • @Bellpop: Ok. Had a brain fade. My headphone's must of been on to tight. Are the ebay GC available in store to get straight away to use for stacking in this deal.

            • @Melb69: I just checked the T&C , I don't think Gift Cards are possible, unless I'm reading it wrong.

              • @themvt: I think that reads as you can't purchase GC's using the 20% off.

                As opposed to using GC

    • Welcome to Ozbargain!

  • Great price for kindle, bought my at 156 and the device is just amazing.

  • Would Officeworks match this price and give the 5% off? Making it $135.04

    • They won't match ebay codes

      • Even if its a specific Goodguys one not their standard ebay general stores one? Or do Ebay do some deal with GG.

So I wasn't the only one, but I did work it out moments after I asked it though.

  • What is difference with Google home and mini got two minis for like $17 each from the spotify deal while back,i take this does same thing.

    • +1

The google home has much better sound. Does the same thing as mini. Not really worth spending the money if you already have the mini IMO. If I didn't have the mini I would get the home over the mini.

    • Nicer touch controls, and better audio. For the normal price I don't think it's a while lot better than the mini. What I like most is that the entire to is touch controlled, which makes it now convenient to quickly shit up when an alarm is going off, or she is needlessly talking about something I didn't ask.

      • Can the minis also connect to a bluetooth speaker?

        • … I think so?
To be honest I'm not 100% confident I've done it with the mini 🤔

        • Yes

        • +1

Yes it can BT through the home app, but for me has to be manually connected with my BT device (Bose) every time the Bose is turned off…kind a anyoying it doesn't scan for BT devices automatically when they are switched back on

          • @51kabunka: Thanks guys!

@51kabunka I have the exact same issue with my Google home and Bose speaker. Just saying "connect to Bluetooth" does the trick.

  • +1

It's a shame ACT Library don't loan out kindle ebooks, was just about to buy one.

    • Yeah that is part of the issue with the Kindle. It does allow audio book now through Bluetooth, but I believe you have to sign up to Kindle US account as Aus site doesn't allow it or the like. Assume they will switch it on soon as more of these get purchased.

    • Yes indeed. Got one of these for my wife last year - if she could borrow library books as well, I think she'd use it more. As it is, she mostly reads physical books borrowed from the library - she only uses the Kindle when travelling or if there's something she really wants but the library doesn't have it!

For my part, I love using the Kindle. Much prefer it to holding a book simply because of the size.

      Nevermind….just buy two e-Readers instead! Get a Kobo/Nook, and a Kindle!

  • code is LIVE now

    • +1

Tested it. Code works for Kindle. Great price. Thanks OP. Brought one for partner at $174 for mothers day gift. Now thinking of getting one myself.

      • Yeah…got a birthday coming, so pointed my wife to this deal :o) Maybe I'll get one too.

        • Sorry, socks and jocks for you. Maybe a new quill pen for your poetry, if you're lucky.

          • @Daabido: Are you guys buying kindle 8gb or 32gb?
Wondering if 8gb will be enough?

  • +1

Thanks for this, I just bought the Kindle 32gb. Had been wanting one and this is such a good price.

  • Glad i sold my grey stock Google Home for $100, will wait till hub gets for $100, meanwhile i will enjoy my mini which i got with Spotify deal

  • Can the ebay code be used for multiple separate purchases or is it one use per account?

  • I was waiting for Prime Day sale next month for the kindle. Anyone reckon it will be cheaper?

    • I was also hoping for that…but this is the first time I've caught it this cheap since late last year. Toss a coin?

You'd hope that Prime Day would at least see it at better than $179, which is a pretty common discount level - seems to be just about every other month. Catching it at the same time as a 20% off is the trick.

  • +1

You could try your luck with this one and hope they pick up a 32gb off the shelf instead like they did when I click and collected a few weeks ago.

  • https://ebay.us/4wBAVj $121.45 with Priority10 code

Just found this on eBay for Kindle. Not sure about seller, but even still there's paypal or credit card protection if an issue.

    • +1

Careful, that is not Paperwhite. That's Kindle Touch aka Kindle Basic.

      • You are correct. Should have picked that up.

  • Bought an xbox one controller with the code and the tax invoice shows the full price before the 20% off. Good for a bigger TRS refund if you are going OS soon.

    • Good for a tax refund too if the purchase you make is deductible.
