Nah, I'd rather my Dre Beats for the street cred.

You can buy these off decent sellers in US for well under $200 AUD inc shipping - Only a bargain if you want a seller in Australia for return/warranty purposes.

    • Such as?
      Amazon has them for $249.

Speaking of Beyer headphones, some might be interested in this site: http://www.chemical-records.co.uk/sc/servlet/Info?Track=DT77…
What I especially like about that site is that it's very cheap to ship to Aus(3.15 pounds) so ironically it's actually cheaper than buying it from the UK(due to VAT)!
Don't give me that spiel about local warranty, different product, etc, it's just an option, I'm not forcing you to buy there.

    • Nice site!

Any idea where I might be able to purchase the DT250 (80ohm)? Chemical Records has a number of Beyer headphones, but the dt250 is not one of them not one of them…

  • nice might grab the ES7 lol, any idea when the offer expires?

A word of warning, there are apparently a lot of DT770 versions (one review mentions there are at least seven), and they differ in sound signature. If you're trying to find reviews, comparing prices, etc., make sure you're looking at the right model.

    • Thanks Orte - I am sure a lot of us would never have considered the sub-version issue :)

    • Holy $hit 7?

I didn't know about the Manufaktur or 32 edition.
Keep in mind the 600Ohm version is probably a bit better for bassheads but don't get the M version which is for drummers. Pro version from head-fi is supposed to have much tighter band and clamping force around your ears.

Still good price for closed headphones

  • leonhardt, what about the DT 880 High end model? and does VAT gets included even for purchases from Australia?

    • Whichever one you pick depends on your preference and type of music.
I think it's best to try them out at a local store before splurging hundreds of dollars on a pair of headphones.
This is why I haven't purchased a pair yet- I haven't found any local stores which let me try them in person.

No, VAT is not included. So for the DT770 pro, it becomes 168.55 AUD including shipping.
And no, I don't work for them, I just have an account so I can see the price.

  • So the black ES7's arent on special? Only the whites? Bummer..

You may want to invest in an amp with these.
