43” version is cheaper if you can get one from Samsung Enhanced Partnership Program.
In the market for a 75" TV for the living room and had been looking at the Samsung Q75, but at more than double the price of this RU7100 model, finding it really hard to justify the more expensive set. Anyone have any opinions? Will be used as the primary TV in a long living room that Is usually pretty dark. Probably will be streaming The Wiggles on Netflix for most of its useful life in between some movies at night.
I personally could never go back to a non OLED TV. The different is night and day for me. If you want a 75" however, then probably stick with this one for this great price and just wait until a well priced 75" LG or Sony OLED rolls around.
After having a look at the OLED offerings in a store I have the same opinion. Even with the bright store lights you can still notice significant backlight bleed on darker scenes for the cheaper sets.
Anything other than OLED feels like a diminished experience at this point.
For your use this will be a fine tv.
