Anybody got the credit including last year's prime video offer?

  • Ive watched one ep of Grand Tour previously..
Damn it.. thats an expensive episode :/

  • Thanks OP.

  • For those interested, you can get a pre-order of Cyberpunk for $60.99 with this deal. Cheapest I've seen, other than CD key websites which are shady as.

    • -3

Its $50 USD on Epic store if you set your country to Argentina

      Or

1999 Russian Rubies on Steam ($45 AUD)

      • $50 USD is $71+ AUD, that's $10 more than what I paid.

Not going risk my Steam account by purchasing outside my region either.

  • I'm assuming it doesn't stack if you already did this last year? Or does it?
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/388910

    • How are you going to watch it for the first time if you've already watched it for the first time?

    • -1

it doesnt. i asked them and was told i am not eligible because i had a prime membership before and watched a video.

  • I viewed M.I.B. for 5 mins and got an email with the $10 credit. Thanks, OP!

  • +1

Watched 5 minutes of the Grand Tour and received my code. Signed up to prime for the first time 10 minutes prior ;)

  • don't know if i will get it since i took part in last year's offer. But i streamed world war z and noticed the PQ is nowhere near as good as the Bluray that I saw it on originally.

Every time you move your mouse the overlay appears, with the large +10 PAUSE -10 covering your picture. Just bad UI design. I don't need to see that.

There's no way I would pay for this service if it wasn't already included with Prime

    • -1

nope. i contacted them. i was told i wouldnt be eligible for this one .

  • I can't get Prime Video app to work on my phone :( I've logged a support case but nada. I get error code: unknown_marketplace_for_user. IF I clear cache and data and open the app the login screen comes up, but logging in just loops back to login screen. Then upon app restart I get the marketplace error once again.
    It gets my goat up…

I had this problem. I got on chat and they told me my issue was because my region was set up another country (not Australia). They changed my region to Australia and it worked. It was solved for me within a few minutes on chat. Hopefully that works for you.

      • You're brilliant. That worked :) Apparently I was setup in Japan?!

  • +2

So it has to be sold and fulfilled by amazon which is a little bit more difficult to round down. Even amazonbasics cables are not working for me.

Got the email. Any bargains to match it?

    • +2

Echo Plus 1st Gen for $39 after the code

      • Thanks man. I find talking to technology incredibly creepy but appreciate the response :-)

    • +1

Don't worry, there will be plenty of bargains to combine with on prime day, hold out until then.

  • How does The Grand Tour compare to Top Gear, with the same presenters? Top Gear was definitely one of my favourite tv shows.

    • +2

I say this as a huge Top Gear fan but it has been a bit shit overall, has some good episodes in there though. Season 2 was definitely an improvement over Season 1 but I didn't even make it through Season 3 as they went the wrong way and just focused on the stupider challenges through every episode, they are funny here and there but there is such a thing as too much.

For Season 4 they have recognized the format they were using wasn't working so they are going to instead focus on just producing the 'specials' they used to do during Top Gear and cut out all of the studio segments. Fingers crossed it will be a good watch.

      • Thanks for the info. I won't rush into it but will watch it soon. I binge watched seasons 17 onwards until the trio left Top Gear and absolutely loved it, so I've been really missing Top Gear since.

        • +1

As another big OG Top Gear fan I think it's great. Give it a good go, I binge watched it all. Caught some episodes twice.

        • +1

It's worth watching as there are sparks on the old magic but I agree, not as good as Top Gear that featured the three.

  • Hang on, if I sign on to a new free trial acc, could I get one too?

    • Yes you can do it through a trial

  • Nothing for me yet, grrr.

    • If after 24 hrs you still haven't got it try logging into Amazon on desktop site and from there go to Prime Video and watch something.

      • Nope, nothing, I've tried everything. Have to jump on chat now.

  • +3

I’ve got an existing prime account and have streamed prior. I’ve got the credit too surprisingly!

  • Funny or Die episodes are like 3mins long. If you want to just play something short to qualify.

    • I clicked a 3 hour movie and just fast forwarded so the last 10 seconds played and it ended. Got my email straight away.

  • If I join Amazon Prime after the 8th Jul, will I still be eligible for the $10 credit?

  • +1

Is there a way to search for items sold and shipped by Amazon?

    • +1

When you do a search on an item, in the bar on the left of the screen you can select "Amazon AU" as the seller.

  • Great. Bought 3 of these to use the $10 credit. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/468898

  • +2

I have watched from Prime before, but just kicked off the Prime Day Concert, and received an email with the credit. So even if you have watched before, kick off a stream and try your luck.

    • +1

Thanks man. I tried my luck via online chat and I got the 10 dollars:)

  • -1

Created a new account using a new email so I could restart my Amazon trial, but they somehow know that I've done it previously. Is there anyway to bypass this?

    • Check my message above. Contact them. I think it's gonna depend on the customer service rep who will look into your enquiry. Good luck.

  • Thanks OP This is GREAT!!@!!

  • I got an email from Amazon about this promotion, watched 3 episodes of SpongeBob, but haven't got the voucher yet :-(

    • +1

It took over an hour after I finished watching a movie to get my voucher.

I don't know what I'll use it on though, practically nothing I'm interested meets the conditions.

      • +1

        Thanks.
Just had a chat with them. They added a voucher manually.
        I got a $35 item to buy :-)

  • Worked for me

  • Just watched a random episode of the Office and got the email notification for the voucher not even halfway through the episode.

    • +1

you activated it with your mind

  • thanks

  • Thanks OP

  • Why did this appear on the front page after I've made my purchase :(

  • is there any way to find eligible items? trying buy from on going prime sale and 10$ discount not being applied..got the mail about 10$ though..

    • +1

Product needs to be supplied by Amazon AU.

      • thanks. still ongoing prime sale items are exception i guess..

  • Ok, this got pushed back to ozbargain frontpage and I'll play along. Just activated Prime trial and started streaming. Hoping voucher comes within 3 hours and I'll get the $18 coke deal.

  • Still waiting for my one.

    • Mine didn't come either, then my coke sold out. Fail.

If you nag them on support chat, they'll give you $10 coupon.

  • American Gods.
    The Expanse.

Reasons enough to get Amazon Prime.

  • +1

Can't for the life of me find anything worth spending $20 on that's sold and fulfilled by Amazon AU.

  • my $10 offer is almost due, nothing to buy.
