    Also for those unaware, buy the sim and just activate a new number to use to claim all the new user bonuses you can (eg. $15 off UE, etc.) But don't forget to turn off auto-recharge on Amaysim.

        How many accounts have you made? I've done it 3 times so far without issue. Did not think they would go as far as to track IMEI numbers but when I think about it that's probably the most efficient way to prevent people from abusing the system.

    can i port a number I own to a different person?

    I already have an Amaysim account so I wouldn't be eligible. But if I borrow someone else's name, can I port my number into their name or will that run into problems?

      You can make a new account with a new email address. That qualifies as a new account with amaysim.

      At least, it did in the recent past.

          That's why I have a table of all the accounts used for bargains (Uber Eats, Amaysim Sims, catchconnect sims, etc)

            @tdw: Same idea here. I've always kept a password protected rtf text file log with everything important I do online. I don't do it neatly, just jot down relevant details so I can find later with a simple text search.

          nah initial purchase on 16th failed. i followed the advice from dingdong3000 and contacted livechat this morning

          made another purchase (on 17th) using different browser without blockers and it worked

                @twig: Said this many many times. Both Cashrewards & ShopBack use the same affiliate networks to track sales. For amaysim, we both use Partnerize who track the sales for us both. If something went wrong with your purchase, it did so at the affiliate level. We merely pull all sales that are attributed to CR from said network via API and report them back to member accounts. It's quite possible your last click and attribution could be elsewhere, including OzB.

    They had this deal 2 weeks ago and have activated my SIM card and on the cashrewards website it says it is pending, but someone commented on the last deal that you get your cashback when you activate the sim and can just quit the mobile plan. What should I do ?

      Just activate it. Turn off auto recharge and forget about the sim. Cashback can take a while to come back.

    I don’t think cashrewards amaysim deals should be posted here anymore. Everyone here has had one amaysim sim from cashrewards once so no one on ozbargain is eligible for cash back anymore anyways

        Wouldn't your Cashrewards account log the transaction only? I doubt either CR or Amaysim would have details on email and name used to register with amaysim. If you used new details which were different (which it would be) then the deal would be granted.
        That's what I would hope anyway?

      You can keep the number and it doesn't require ongoing recharges. BUT the number will expire 6-12 months after the last billing day unless you put credit on it.
      Don't cancel it but change the payment method to BPAY and disable auto-renew once the SIM has been activated.
      Once the 28 days is up, you cannot make calls or send SMS from that number. But you can still use it to receive texts/calls.

      in my experience with amaysim, their sims seem to always come pre-activated. if you wait a few days, you may get a message from them saying they've adjusted your expiry according to when you started using it

    Definitely a good deal with profit but a few weeks ago when everyone was getting excited about $13 profit from cashrewards, shopback was giving $40 cash back. Made a cool $30 profit!

    No tracking for me after ordering last night. So many inconsistencies compared with ShopBack after purchasing and yes I get that it’s free money and they’re offering a service that they don’t need to but when one can do it flawlessly and the other not so much, it’s frustrating!
