          • @tempura: I am busy with Taro XD

I went last year in December - Osaka

            • @kolorijo: excuse me?…You managed to make the Taro Ramen yet?

              • @Taro Milk Tea: Err.. taro is here… i am going..

                • @kolorijo:

                  i am going..

wait where? let me come with you

Jokes aside, seems like you are the expert of Japan, if you can only eat 5 food in Japan, what are your recommendations? I'm going next month!

  • Cheers mate, just ordered the 14 day pass :)

  • heading to Japan for 10 days in October - will be going around Tokyo, Osaka, Nara, Kyoto and Kobe. Will be getting the 7 day pass - is it worth paying the extra for the green car or save the money and get the ordinary car pass? I've read stories of people getting the ordinary pass and having to stand up for the whole 3 hours from Tokyo to Osaka because the trains were full. What's the likelihood this would happen?

    • You'll be fine, the ordinary pass lets you book seats so figure out what time you'll be going beforehand and book at the JR office during your trip.

      • Ah, that's great to know! I thought you could only reserve seats with the green.

        • Beware some jr ticketing booths do not allow you to reserve seats.

          • @currentfad: Would you happen to know if there a list of booths/locations that allow seat reservations?

            • @itsmehuey: I only remember Haneda Airport booth only allowed for exchange, not to reserve seats when I went. We just trained to another major station that we were passing by to reserve the seating so it was no biggie but it would have been good to know, because then we could have just gone straight to that station instead of lining up twice!

              • @currentfad: Ahh, thanks for the input!

We will be arriving at Narita airport but we will only exchange but won't activate until we leave from Tokyo to go to Osaka because we will only have a 7 day pass for 10 days in Japan. Then we will be going to Kyoto from Osaka, then Kyoto back to Tokyo before heading to Singapore (from Haneda airport)

                • @itsmehuey: I'm not sure if you can actually exchange and activate at a future date. Best to confirm with someone who's familiar!

                  • @currentfad: Oh what I meant was, I will be exchanging and activating for a future date :) I know you're able to select a date up to 30 days after exchanging, for activation.

    • That is a lot of city for only 10 days

      • 3 days tokyo, 3 days osaka (with possible day trip to kobe), and 4 days kyoto (half day trip to nara).

  • Hi, I'm planning to travel around late Jan- early Feb. Is this something I can purchase? Not sure due to the activate within 3 month from purchase date thing.

  • you can only use the code once? Im having trouble using the code a second time round on another purchase…

    • Yeah seems to be one redemption only

  • doesnt work on 4G Pocket Wifis :(

Anyone knows where we can buy Disneysea ticket cheaper?

  • -4

    Re JR passes
Try HIS's price first (must be an office in Australia of course)
    Usually the cheapest..
And you don't have to wait for delivery.
Just go in and get one.

$629 for 14 day. Nowhere near the $480 with this deal

      • How Phoebus didn't realise there was a discount at Klook today I have no idea, its in the title.

  • +2

    Tokyo meet for Ozb?

  • How long does it take to mail out? We're leaving on the 7th of September so need it soon…

  • Thanks. Just got a 14 day JR pass.

  • When does this deal expire?

    • 22nd August.

  • So bitter that I miss the dates of JR pass by less than a week after this deal ends

    • I literally miss it by one day!

  • “This promo code is not applicable for this activity”

I have a 14 Day Ordinary Class JR Pass in my cart.

So this deal doesn’t actually work? Any ideas?

Edit: had the wrong code pasted… oops!

  • Anyone else getting an internal server error with shopback? I am trying to sign up for the first time to take advantage of this deal..

Wondering if I should just settle for the 15% off so I don’t miss out while waiting?

    Any thoughts?

  • Can't order Universal Studios Express pass for March 2020 yet :(

  • Will it be ok to select a random date for the "date of departure to Japan" option? For some reason it won't let me choose anything other than 21 days green car option if I select any date after the 13th of November (we're arriving on that weekend). Even though any time before the 18th would still fall within the 90 day limit from today.

    • New day but still can't seem to select anything past the 13th if you want the 7 day ordinary pass, so I'm just going to go ahead and choose that.

  • Great deal, I was able to get Hong Kong Disneyland Tickets Discounted with the Promo code CFKLKPARKS

  • I'm arriving in Japan on 18th of November but Klook won't let me select that date to purchase tickets. Can I buy a JR pass on a earlier date and still be eligible to redeem it on the 18th?

  • Now that the deal is official Klook has the following link that spells out what Theme Parks are valid.

    https://www.klook.com/en-AU/promo/click-frenzy-august-2019-t…

    • Now just wait for orders to get cancelled like the camera

  • Are passes which don't have Australia listed as a mail delivery option not able to be delivered at all?

  • If I'm departing early November, when will klook send me the JR pass? Will it be sent out soon or towards November?

    Thanks!

    • +1

They should mail it out soon after you place the order.

    • +1

we got ours in a week after purchase.

      • Thanks, just received the JR pass exchange form.

  • Ordered Universal Studio Singapore with express pass and the unlimited data SIM for Japan. Both 15% off.

    Thanks OP!

  • Thanks OP, bought 2x 14 days JR pass and Universal Studio entries.

  • I'm looking at purchasing JR Hokuriku Arch Pass but they don't seem to deliver worldwide? Can only pick up/deliver in Asia…. is this correct, and the only one we can purchase in Australia is the Whole Japan Rail Pass?

  • Thanks OP. Heading over when the Rugby World Cup is on.

  • -4

Is it safe to visit there? It seems Japan is hiding what's happening in the nuclear contaminated area and selling some discounted tour package.
    Check out this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YpxtMBOiD6A

  • Does anyone know how to apply the credits earned from referring people to Klook to a booking? I can only seem to be able to apply credits from past bookings to a new booking.

  • Have a couple questions if anyone could help!

    For the JR pass…
It says enter arrival date, but my arrival date is not when I want to start using the pass. Does that matter? Is there somewhere to specify when you want to activate the pass?

Also does anyone know how long the delivery takes to Australia? Wonder how much buffer time you need.

    Thank you.

    • +3

The arrival date you select on Klook is simply to make sure you'll be exchanging the voucher they are sending out to you within 90 days. You will get to choose the day you want to activate the pass once you actually arrive and exchange the voucher thing at the JR counter.

  • Called up and they said promo code is expired.. lol

    • But not 22nd yet :(

  • Thanks, got the 14 day rail pass and a Mt Fuji tour. Disappointed they pulled the Disney Sea tickets from their page!
Would have got the Studio Ghibli tickets but i land late at night and wont be able to collect the tickets from airport!

  • wow 15% off is a good discount. The most I have ever seen is 10% for JR pass and theme park tix. Great post OP! It is almost worth going again….

  • Thanks for posting OP! I just ordered a 14 JR Pass and a Suica Card for Tokyo as it worked out to be cheaper with the discount. Cheers!

  • Why is it expired already? it's still the 22nd

I paid in AUD and was charged a foreign transaction fee. How does this make sense?

    • Foreign based company, which bank are you with?

      • +1

Paid with St George. If I had known, I would have paid with my 28 degrees card. The checkout is misleading though. The final payment says AUD 671 (Bought two passes). It is misleading because it gives you the impression that you are paying in AUD.

        • Same situation mate, except I paid with Citibank. Quite annoying

          • +1

@sixnout: I will be disputing the fee. Will let you know how it goes.

  • Oh what an idiot - was waiting for this deal to come back to get a 14 day pass for next month and bloody missed it!

    • +1

      I feel your pain
