  • before someone ask, no it is NOT official xiaomi store.
    but the store looks okay.

  • +3

If you buy 2 you can use the $7 off coupon from here- https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/479670

    • +3

Yes but one of them would have be with screen protector and bonus strap to meet the minimum spend requirement.

      • +1

Why the neg? Coupon minimum spend requirement doesn't include GST.

If you add 2 Mi Bands to cart, price is US $46.20 excl GST which doesn't meet the minimum spend requirement of US $50. So you need to add one with screen protector and bonus strap so total is US $50.70 excl GST.

  • This is the Chinese version price. What's the difference between that and the global version? Thanks.

    • +5

Reading comments from past deals, the Chinese version will update to the English version if you are using the English version of the Mi Fit app.

      • So there is no point to spend more to get the global version?

        • +1

          Correct.

        • +2

Correct unless you speak something other than English

    • +1

I believe the global version has slightly higher battery

      • +1

Ignore the above. So as I understand from the official website, there is a chinese version AND a chinese version with NFC. It's the NFC one that is more expensive and also has a smaller battery.

  • +1

Are these likely to be legit? I'm not disputing but just genuinely asking because I just bought my wife one from a dodgy Amazon seller, we received a fake. I'm kind of put off buying another unless I'm 100% sure it will be the real thing.

    • +2

I bought one. They'll reimburse the money if it is.
I find with aliexp if it has enough reviews and it has good ratings it's pretty legit.

      • How do you prove that it is fake? Alix dispute is hit and miss.

        • Curious to know this aswell. I bought mine a month ago for about $45 and I'm having problems with mine miscounting steps and the music functions not working.

        • Twice now Aliexpress dispute has given me back 50% even though the item was completely different to what was described. They way it's designed, once they decide there is no clear way to query their decision. You can only submit more evidence. Doesn't turn me off from using Aliexpress (still a bargain even with a slight loss), but it's frustrating. Sellers will also try to offer 'discount on future orders' which can mean nothing if you accept.

          • +1

@RedSky: Yeah, just make sure you take plenty of photo and showing why is not a legit one if it suspected it a fake.

        • Connecting it to the app?

          • +1

@spaceflight: Yeah my fake from Amazon (3rd party seller) wouldn't connect in the app. Also the heart rate monitor is fake, once started you can take it away from your body and it'll continue mock generating a heart rate. Extra effort they put in is funny because it's already clear it's fake before you get that far.

I see that the Chinese version includes NFC, and that would support mobile payments from it. Is there any way I could get a grey import Chinese version guaranteed?

Nvm, looks like NFC is only supported in China.

    • I'm still confused how they can restrict the NFC sensor by geography

      • Its the type of NFC chip

        • Could you elaborate? Does each region have a different type of NFC chip?

      • +2

It doesn't support google pay or anything, only some chinese payment iirc.

        • +1

from my research XIAO MI has its own payment method named: MI Pay and the NFC chip will like integrated with XIAO MI's own payment system.

  • What does this thing do?

What I like about this watch is via the phone app you can add all your family members, then the fun begins as everyone is able to spy on everyone else.

Now I can see how many hours they sleep each night, what time they fall asleep and wake up, what time during the night they wake up at and for how long they stayed awake before falling asleep again, how many steps/distance they travel each day, how many calories burned per day and if i pair it up to Xiaomi scale can see their weight changes daily… And get this, I can nudge anyone in my family via the phone app, when this happens they get a vibrating + alarm sound with text on their watch saying "XXXX nudged you". Think it goes abit too far to be honest because this could be used against young family members… lol.. wish they had option to disable certain stuff you don't want to share..

    • @overshopper,
Thanks for sharing. How do you find the timer and stopwatch features? Are they responsive like mobile phones or are flimsy to use?

    • +5

Hmmm. My family will wonder why my heart rate jumps for about 30mins before falling asleep. ;)

      • +2

Guess I'm safe then. My 30 secs will just look like an anomaly :D

  • Coupon is telling me its run out, with a total of $51.46

    • This for me too. Anyone with another similar code?

      • Try BrandweekP828.

  • I have one of these and highly recommend it.

  • How do you get this price i failed :)

    • +2

Select the very last Mi Band on the list, CN version standard, priced AU $37.34 excl GST.

      • Thanks that worked for me :)

      • I'm getting a value of 40.95 including tax, how is this close to 39.30 on OP post?

        • I'm still getting AU $39.30 incl GST using the desktop site.

  • Anyone know if the dimension if this is similar to the 2nd gen? I have the metal strap for the old one and wondering if it still fits

    • +1

If I remember correctly, the 2nd gen Mi Band straps won't work with 4th gen, but I read somewhere that 3rd gen straps will definitely work with 4th gen Mi Band

    • Band 3 straps supposedly work on the band 4

  • Thanks OP. I also went to the Mijobs Aliexpress store and bought a metal strap too. Hopefully it will be ok quality.

  • Hi. Just wondering if it track deep sleep thanks

    • Yes it does.

  • Is it possible to install other languages to this Chinese version?

  • The site is chugging balls.

  • Mi band 4 owners,
Would anyone be able to comment on the timer and stopwatch features? Are they responsive or flimsy to use?

    Thanks.

    • +1

Works fine easy, to use and responsive, only thing is, you can't multitask, you're stuck in the timer or stopwatch until you end it. Also the stopwatch is tenths of a second resolution only.

      • Thanks Celebraces.
I think tenths of seconds is fine. I just need to stopwatch the duration of my reps. Would the band vibrate once the timer is up?

  • 20-40 day shipping :(

    • this is standard for Aliexpress … in most cases its under but dont get too excited :)

  • Anyone has tried its vibration alarm? Is it as strong as Fitbit Charge HR to wake up in the morning?

  • Guys does it have BP Monitor as well

  • I used code CNN4OFF828 (found using Honey) to get it for US$23.32. I paid in US dollars so I don't know what the AU amount was.

    • +1

I just tried it, works for new accounts only.

  • New users of the Aliexpress website will get additional $3 discount

  • How long do you have to wait to receive the confirmation email or receipt for your order? I have been waiting but have not received yet. It has been 30 mins now.

  • Expired? :(

  • I wonder how long they will take it get it to us?

She messaged saying something odd like they are shipping in sequence and to be patient.

  • Mine arrived yesterday. There is a difference between the China and Global version that I wasn't aware of: the China version has an AliPay screen that you can't seem to get rid of even after it's updated to the English firmware. It's only a minor annoyance, but just mentioning it as it wasn't something I knew before.

    • Did you get the NFC version?

      • I'm not sure how to tell. The Ali apy menu shows a QR code so I'm not sure if it only works with the QR code or if it has NFC as well. From what I read, the NFC functionality is not usable outside China anyway

        • Did you check your order details whether you ordered the Chinese NFC version as that might explain your AliPay screen?
