Ipod Touch 8 GB - $199 at Office Works. I'd call the store to make sure they've got the stock (I went to OW East Perth to get one).

My first post :)

      • Positions other than missionary don't officially count, so perhaps this is his first missionary position (position where you post on ozbargain while lying down).

    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/38106 - REALLY? FIRST POST!?!?!?!

  • -2

So it's settled: Good deal, but second post.

  • lol @ all the comments referring to the quantity of OP's submissions. Regarding this deal, it is pretty decent but there have been better deals in the past but they have only been for a short while at a few retailers and not that easy to get your hands on. $199 is still competitive now because I know big w and places like that are still refusing to drop to this price, while preferring to throw in accessories and sell for ~$250.

  • Does anyone know if you can jailbreak these?

    • +2

You sure can. Just google 4.3.3 jailbreak.

Good deal this. I price matched Officework's price at Dick Smith yesterday, and chucked my employee discount on top of that to get it for $189 :)

      • +2

Nothing like seeing staff support their own employer and driving down their prices

    • -6

Why would you need to jailbreak an mp3 player? lol. This isn't a phone?

      • +4

An iPod Touch is an iPhone without the phone. Jailbreaking has nothing to do with the phone capabilities of the iPhone. You can use apps on an iPod Touch. Thus jailbreaking is totally relevant.

meh…new ipod touch is coming in about 2 months time

    • Probably not, iPhone was pushed back to September the normal iPod release month. Therefore iPods are probably pushed back by a couple of month as well.

      • No. No Garratt no.

    • +1

Do I just print it out and go in store?

      • yep, hopefully they can do it for you

          Who did you price match

        • mine was at fountain gate melb, can't remember who it was specifically but some guy just checked out back and said it was fine… gave it to the cashier for checkout

idk if you want an upload of mine since it is a little more recent

  • that's cheaper than the RRP in America (RRP $229)! good deal, but I already have an iPhone 4.

  • Damn!I like it!
