    40g Protein Bar Varieties

    10g Protein.

    Is it 30g Sugar?

  • +9

a.k.a: Time for 7-Eleven staff to hide the protein bar

    Thanks OP tho

    • But you support the deal?

      • well yeah it's a freebie anyway so why not support it

it's just some 7-eleven stores being a bit unethical I'd say

  • +3

For those wondering, the salted caramel bar has 572kJ, 11.4g protein, 4.4g fats, 7.3g carbs.

    • -1

      thats not 40g protein…

      • +11

It's a protein bar that weighs 40g in total and has 10g (slightly more) of protein in it. Usually protein bars aren't 100% protein =P

        • +2

that's pretty disappointing hahaha i thought it would be 40g protein with like 20-30g of carbs/fats… thanks though that was definitely a derp from me.

        • -1

Exactly. I guess people want to know if in that 10g of protein in which type and how much essential amino acids it comes. Animal or vegetal protein? It is free and from 7 eleven not from vitamin store.

  • Mmm not showing on my app?

Edit had to GPS on and now shows location?

  • -1

    How many can you get?

  • this one °°° i think they won't hide it.

  • Anyone have an ingredients list? I found the product but it doesn't list the ingredients.

  • Thanks OP, snagged a coconut one!

    • Can you please tell me what sweetener is in it? I'm allergic to erythritol and it seems to be in anything low sugar these days.

      • +2

Not sure, but the full list of ingredients in the coconut one are: chicory root fibre, whey protein isolate, milk chocolate, (includes sugar) and coconut mix. Don't see any mention of erythritol…

        • +1

          sounds promising, thanks!

Heaps and heaps of stock in The Chatswood store. On the counter, on the shelves, at the coffee machines. ETC

  • -6

if you don't go to the gym, don't buy. you can be a fatso, as you need to burn.

    • +1

These things are better snacks than what most people probably eat

      • +1

Hotdogs are probably better snacks than what most people eat

    • +1

The mint protein bar has 20g of sugar vs 56g in a snickers. Should be encouraging fatties to eat this instead, especially as free and lots of them available.

  • There are a few left under the counter in the shop in Carrington Street Wynyard Station as of 5 minutes ago.

  • the two stores i went to all had them displayed at the counter. 4 varieties to choose from

  • Just grabbed one. Salted caramel had a pleasant taste, with only a mild saltyness. Would purchase in future if around $1 mark (not sure of rrp)

    • +1

      they're normally $3. $2 with this month's app offer

      • Free with today's offer

      • +1

Ok thanks. Definitely won't buy them for $3. What a shame they aren't under $2, might have been a regular grab and go otherwise

        • I get that there'll be a convenience store tax, but $3 is a bit too steep for me, too.

          • +1

@tdw: especially considering it is 7-eleven branded too, should be cheaper for sure.

  • -2

Amazing how excited people get over a free junk bar.. Hittin the gym afterwards or the xbox? LOL

    • +12

This is Ozbargain, its sole purpose is to excite us with free/cheap stuff we don't need.

For the record, have already been to the gym before you typed your message.

      • +3

Yeah I've been there before too. 6 months to be exact

    • You still burn calories playing Xbox yo

      • Yep, can confirm.

*dances to Gangnam Style in Dance Central**

Melbourne: 7 Eleven at Southern Cross/Spencer Str has plenty left.

    • +1

Cheers! They're located at the registers, heaps of stock left

  • Melbourne 7 Eleven near Williams & Collins sts has plenty as well (look for the 'new' sign on the shelf)

    • How does it work, just rock up show the coupon? No need to fuel up or buy anything else?

      • +1

        Exactly as your first sentence

      • Yes. That's why the stores hate it lol

        • Do they give evil glares? Or they can't be bothered anymore being underpaid

  • There's nothing healthy about this bar fwiw.
Might as well just eat a Mars bar.

    • +6

You're missing the point. This is FREE

    • +3

It doesn't claim to be healthy.
FFS what's with all the wowsers whinging and nitpicking over a free item?
No one's making you eat one.

      • They need somewhere to sook because they aren't allowed to at home.

    • +1

Wheres the free mars bars at?

      • +3

His mum does all the shipping bro, the pantry is like a free Woolworths yo

      • The "Skill Tester" machines in the shopping mall. Punch the side of it gently and the mars bars fall out.

  • +1

Glad my local 7/11 actually stocked this promo up. Normally they magically run out of stock at 8am in the morning

  • +1

Can't believe my local didn't hide the stock for once.

  • Plenty in Perth CBD. All 4 flavours

    • What are the other 2 flavs?

      • -1

The tears of underpaid staff is one flavour. Anyone know the other flavour?

      • Coconut is one…

    • +1

Salted Caramel, Peanut Butter, Coconut, Peppermint

      • -3

        should reply to me..

        • I know, I realised after commenting. Don't know how to delete a comment so I left it there.

  • -1

Don't forget to drive mummy's car to 7Eleven just to make sure total cost = 0

  • +1

Avoid having too many of these or you will be urinating out of the wrong orifice.

  • +1

    Looks like it's expired now.

  • Disappeared from the app :-(

  • +1

Yep, gone from my app as well. Was about to go to the register with my bar, but walked away.:.
