          I fundamentally disagree.

          When its clear like this, it gives us a chance to hunt for a FANTASTIC deal.

          You read the description, know there is a small chance, and get on the phone to your local dickies if you want to, or don't waste your time if not.

          When you see this on the title page you say WOW, you click through and you say Awww. What have you lost? For those who want to try to score the deal, now they know about it.

          I think this is exactly what Ozbargain is about, not about posting the latest TPG price update, but legitimate amazing bargains such as these.

    The current Promo at Dick Smith is the Garage Sale, so I know at least at our store we're pretty much clearing out Quit Stock, and old discontinued stock.

    So you might be able to pick up a bargain or more if you're lucky.

    Wow. I have a DS Lite and I would buy another one for no reason for $50! What a steal!
    However, I do agree that the $40 A/C charger is a rip off and pretty much offset the above bargain.

    Burnie is the only store in TAS which has stock. And yes $50 is nationwide pricing, you just have to find a store which has stock if you want it…

      If there's no stock anywhere, unfortunately, there is nothing to price match as most places check for stock.

      Ehh.. It's an old model, most staff would've already picked up a decent DS (or better) for staff price. Only reason this would get picked up was if someone's family/friends were looking for it. :)

          Karingal, Vic. I called one of the frankston stores and they said there was showing in stock at karingal. Sales guy in the karingal almost fell down when he scanned it and saw the price. He said the old price was $200.

      Most places price match policy state that the location has to be within a certain distance and they must have the item in stock.

      Sucks for sure, but that's the way the bargain buckles…
