Gaming PCs: R5-3600 2080 Super [16G/480G/B350/750WB]: $1649 [Plus CoDMW Code] / R7-3700X RX 5700 XT [16G/B350/480G]: $1399 + $29

R53600-2080SUPER-480R73700X-5700XT

Some more big boi gaming PCs here with Ryzen 5 3600 and Ryzen 7 3700X CPUs and RTX 2080 Super and RX 5700 XT graphics options. Both feature 16GB 2400MHz, B350 (Biostar B45M2) and a 480GB SSD as standard. Remember that regular RTX 2080 is now finito so RTX Super is the new norm and comes with the 750W 80+ Bronze power supply bundled too.

Plenty of upgrade options available on all lines as always. Note that my last post had the 3200MHz RAM pricing incorrect (copped some flak on that, lel) so it is $59 to go from 16GB 2400 to 16GB 3200MHz (currently using Team T-Force Dark and Kingston HyperX and others may be used).

RTX Super cards come with the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare code. I can't make promises on existing orders but will try my best.

Spec: Ryzen 5 3600 | RTX 2080 Super | 16GB 2400MHz RAM | B350 MB | 750W 80+ Bronze PSU | 480GB 2.5" SSD | Leaper Pro White or Esports Pro Black (limited) Case
Price: $1649

and

Spec: Ryzen 7 3700X | RX 5700 XT 8GB | 16GB 2400MHz RAM | B350 MB | 700W Power Supply | 480GB 2.5" SSD | Leaper Pro White or Esports Pro (limited) case
Price: $1399

5700 XT dual fan cards have been more difficult to come by than anticipated due to the manufacturing for dual fan over blower/reference ramping up, and I'm working with previous customers to fulfill all existing orders as quickly as possible and supply is shoring up. But all XTs are dual fans - no blowers.

Cheers
Luke

Hi folks, getting lots of requests to upgrade existing orders to the new spec, which is fine. However, the offer of switching the 240GB NVME to the 480GB 2.5" for free ONLY applies to systems of equivalent base specs (i.e AMD Ryzen 5 3600 | RTX 2080 8GB SUPER Gaming Desktop PC, or the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 | RTX 2080 8GB Gaming Desktop PC with a separate GPU upgrade to the Super card.) I'm sure you can appreciate that different systems have different specs and are priced accordingly, so I can't offer a switch for a lower priced system even if it has the 240GB NVME bundled - remember it has been priced accordingly.

If a different product has been purchased it is fine to cancel the original order and upgrade - we can cancel the existing order, you re-purchase with your desired spec, and we will bump the order back to the original order's position in the build queue.

Alternatively, if you want to purchase the RTX 2080 SUPER upgrade with your current order, I will switch in the 480GB SSD as well.

    Cheers
    Luke

    • APpears the description on the 3700x page is for a different computer

      Base spec - CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 - GPU: NVIDIA RTX 2080 8GB - RAM: 16 GB [2 x 8GB] DDR4 RAM - Motherboard: B350M - SSD: 240GB NVMe m.2

  • I made an order about 3 days ago for the 3600 are you able to change the storage for me

    • same query, I hope they can accomodate for this as this pricing is superior to the last order

    • +6

Sure. Please email [email protected] to help me keep track of requests.

Hi Luke, do you have any builds specifically for video production editing?

        • Also interested in this looking for a build to live stream with multiple camera angles and green screen processing, but I’m not using it for gaming so I think the GPU is less important in both our cases.

        • +3

Less gfx card quality, rather fast storage (NVME for editing) and lots of fast ram (previews and editing effects), cpu for rendering effects out too, but primarily Storage, Ram, then CPU for video editing.

@teereb: Really appreciate that help Teereb!

        • +5

I work in film full time (run a video production company in Melbourne) and over the years have learnt the two key components in your build are going to be your CPU and your storage. Most NLE's still don't utilise GPU and RAM efficiently (once you start hitting the 64GB/128GB RAM) and still heavily rely on the CPU. They're beginning to implement GPU acceleration through software and SDK's (check out RED's new 8K realtime SDK with Nvidia GPU's), but NLE's are slow to adapt if at all. In terms of your storage, the faster the better. This is where 99.9% of bottle necking happens in editing systems. Make sure to have a dedicated drive for your scratch discs and another for footage and another for your system.

@corehaza: Thank you so much for this very helpful advice corehaza!

          • @corehaza: Whats your recommended built based similar price range to this deal?

        • I second this.. if you have build for us then i will definitely get one..

      • Same as above, I bought the 3600 clearance deal last week (haven't shipped yet) and was wondering if it is possble to swap it for this deal with extra payment.

Sent an email about this to the address above but just to make sure you got my message before the PC is shipped.

      My plan is working

      • +3

If you make it 3200MHz ram I won't be able to resist (hint) ;)

Sure thing. I'll just make it $59 more.

          • @luketechfast: When I read this it very impressively said "59 sec ago" above the $59 more.

I had the same thought and then decided to just buy everything I want it for better quality control.

    • +7

      I know right.

Upgrade to the 80+ Bronze PSU
Upgrade the RAM to the 3200mhz
And swap the SSD to the 240gb NVME

And this build is near perfect IMO. All should cost about a hundy.

Edit: No cigar, my application to the minster for war and finance was unsuccessful, and by unsuccessful I mean met with scornful silence and headshaking.

I will now go away to be alone with my shame.

Still waiting for the 3700x + 2070 super build since that would IMO be the most value for money build atm

    • +5

no it wouldn't. 5700xt is far better value for money than the 2070 super.

      • 3700 > 3700x in value for money as well…

        • You mean 3800x because a ryzen 3700 product doesn't exist

          • @ChickenAdobo: wasn't the 3800 deemed one of the worse value for money processor for the 3000 series anyway and I think he's thinking of the 3600 vs 3600x

          • +1

@ChickenAdobo: Your username is my life

          • @ChickenAdobo: i mean 3600.

for gaming anyway no difference at all. 3700X just more cores and abit higher clock essentially

      • +2

maybe for you but I have a gsync monitor so it would not make sense for me to get an amd graphic card atm

    • Looking at current games like control and BL3, Even a 2070 super won't suffice for a 2K monitor for the coming year I guess.

      • This is the requirements from BL3 website for 1440p. It's rather hard to believe that a current gen graphic card can't support current gen game when it should support AAA games for at least the next few years.

        RECOMMENDED SPECS 1440P Gaming

OS – Windows 7/8/10 (latest service pack)
        Processor – AMD Ryzen™ 5 2600 (Intel i7-4770)
        Memory – 16GB RAM
        Graphics card – AMD Radeon™ RX 590 (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB)
        HDD – 75 GB

        • I know, and its all cartoonish graphics. https://wccftech.com/borderlands-3-pc-performance-explored-t...

          • @John Doh: Based on that link, only 3 graphic cards manage to get past 60fps on an average basis at 1440p and from the information provided, you would imagine only the 2080Ti would last the next few years which is just ridiculous.

            • @ilikeblue: If you look control benchmarks, its the same story. I get 70 FPS at 1080P on my GTX 1080. "I just hope they optimize more for upcoming games ". Of course you can always customize games to get higher FPS without losing much visual quality, but thats another story.

      • +2

It's not the graphics card fault, the game is just poorly made and lacks optimization. Hopefully in the future they will fix the issues with the game and the 2070 should get great FPS.

      • +1

Borderlands 3 runs like hot trash though. Gears 5 gets you well over 100 fps on a 2070 at 1440p.
Not to mention at 1440p the res is very sharp, so you can lower some settings without a massive difference visually

    • Me too. 3700x + RTX2070 + NVME + Decent MB 450 or 470 or 570 or "you tell me". Wonder what that mighty box could cost with a mighty discount? OP?

  • Picked up my PC today from a previous deal… very happy with the outcome. Definitely recommend these guys.

  • Hey mate, wondering if you do shipping to NZ? Cheers

    • +1

Yep we can work it out if you email [email protected]

    • If you are going to buy dodgy OEM resellers, just pirate it.

      • Or just activate your windows for free with an OEM key in powershell no need to pirate

        • Those keys get revoked?

          • @NoGiveJustTake: Sometimes, I've been using one for 2 1/2 years and no issues so far

            • @camthecow: Are you talking about the generic keys? Those are used to change Windows versions (Pro etc.) You should still be using something to activate it.

              • +2

@NoGiveJustTake: I'm talking about the ones you get off ebay for about $10 for a pro key. You just activate them like a normal key. I've used about 5 or 6 of them on computers for friends and family and no issues so far

                • @camthecow: +1 same here they're volume licenses for Businesses, I purchased one for my parents PC and also used it on my Media pc been 3 years plus no problems.

              • @NoGiveJustTake: No you use some random company's keys by connecting to their network to activate windows, mines been working fine for 2 years

                • @DisabledUser179401: Seems like more work than just pirating it. Pirating Windows is now much easier and can be done in 30 seconds.

                  • @NoGiveJustTake: Eh depends, the hardest part is knowing about it. Then after you install windows all you do is copy and paste the command in PowerShell. Pirated windows is suspicious, you never know what they can hide in the kernel and you're probably getting a virus or a backdoor installed in your system.

                    • @DisabledUser179401: You are using someone else's key management server. HWID piracy is far better. It doesn't store any data or use a third party server.

  • Any chance on a repeat or deal on the AMD 9 3900x if you have any of those left? :)
Also how do you select a different case? Each time I add to cart it just adds the white default one. Do I have to put it in later?

One other thing. Lets say I buy one and it goes nope. What is the best way way to send it back and rough cost from Brisbane? This is to anyone that had to return one for some reason. :)

    • You should be able to choose between the white and black case in the second line of the configurator. I just tested it and it worked for me.

We do have a couple of Ryzen 9s 3900X left, which GPU are you thinking of pairing it with?

Best way to send back for a warranty claim is in the original packaging, with the GPU shipped separately. We send to the customer with extremely tight packaging under the GPU to prevent damage so if that can't be done then it's best to take it out and send separately, securely packaged in a padded mailing box/bag. I imagine it would be $30-40 via AusPost from Brisbane to Adelaide. We cover repair and return postage under the Return to Base warranty.

      • A 2080ti is the card that I plan on getting. :)

When I click on the black case the black case it's highlighted. But it doesn't change the text still says "Case — TechFast Leaper Pro RGB M-ATX Case - White" and the item in cart reports that it's white. Don't know if it's my browser being odd or if it doesn't like me. I can select any other options and they update. :)

  • +2

Any chance of different cases in future deals

  • sorry guys
havnt upgrade pc since 6 years ago, lots to catch up
i will go with R7-3700X RX 5700 combo
    some noob questions
    1. what's the diff between B350M, B450M and X570
    2. if i pick addition 240GB M2 NVME SSD, does techfast still install the OS on the default 480GB SSD?
shouldn't the OS install on the faster SSD?
    3. just did some quick google, i have read 120mm Liquid cooler won't do much cooler compare with fan, should go at least 240mm. Is $99 worth a upgrade to 120mm liquid cooler or leave as it is?
    4. last question, how many output does this RX7500 has??? i have 6 monitors atm and can only run 4 monitors at once (3DP+1DVI). i am hoping at least i can run the same number of mon or more.

    thx for replying

    • Not much difference between the b350m and b450m, beyond the b350m series being older. If it's within a $30 difference I'd go b450m, otherwise b350m will be fine. X570 the the top tier for ryzen mobos right now - effectively meaning there's lots of features you'll never use.

Luke'll have to answer that one. I'd assume they install it on the faster drive, but can't confirm.

The ryzen CPUs have decent stock coolers. The 3700x comes with the big boi cooler, and should be pretty good for that CPU. Wouldn't upgrade to LC personally.

May vary depending on the model, but I believe all current models have 3x DP and 1x HDMI.

      • it's $99 diff to upgrade to b450m

        • B350m's definitely the better option then IMO

          • +1

            @N1NJ4W4RR10R: yeah it says MSI B450M Pro-M2 V2, i googled it's only $105
so $99 upgrade means the B350M is only worth $6…

  • Any chance you sell GPUs by themselves?

    • -1

They won't! Which GPU? I don't need gpu, PSU and case!

  • +1

Has anyone ripped the CPU and GPU and started a fresh build before on one of these techfast deals?

    • Honestly tempted. You can keep the storage and sell the rest.

  • +1

    i found a problem
before the code entered, the additional 240GB m.2 [NVMe] Solid State Drive is $69
but after the code entered, it changed to $89
hence if i choose to upgrade, the discount is no longer $300 but $280
    is this a bug?

    • Let me look into it

  • Sorry if it's been asked before but which 2080 Super model can we be expecting if we buy this?

    • We're currently using the MSI Ventus Super and have a reasonable number on hand but I'm not sure what the next model coming in is as it will depend on availability.

  • Hi Luke,

i have previously asked this before contacting TechFast and was wondering if you can sell systems that are not pre-built? meaning that you send the parts unbuilt because i want to have the experience of building a PC.

i got a reply previously saying that you can send the parts separately with no extra charge and with their retail boxes but the CPU and GPU won't have their own retail packaging.

    can you confirm this?

    • Hey, So I did the same a couple of months ago when I ordered a system through their ebay deal. It was R2600 with 1660Ti.
I messaged them to send them in their original packaging. Callum(rep also working at Techfast) did say that sometimes they are not in the box they come in because of OEM. But I got everything in their original boxes, although it took about 10-14 days from them to ship. It really just depends what they are building the PC with for that particular period. The PC was amazing, and I was assembling my own PC after quite a while. Had to google a few things and watch a few videos. But was definitely fun.

Here are a few pics: https://imgur.com/a/niG1dft

    • Unassemblinati confirmed.

Packaging depends entirely on how we receive them ourselves as we'll just package them up. We don't remove any packaging, but some components like m.2 SSDs or GPUs can come OEM with no retail packaging.

      • Hi Luke

thanks for the reply, would the 3700X system be in their own individual retail packaging? and also what is the warranty if a part were to fail? what would the process be in replacing it as i am from Western Australia?

        thanks!

        • +1

3700X is definitely retail boxed, and with Wraith Spire cooler. Warranty would need to be assessed case by case (e.g. faulty component versus end user error/damage, etc) but we can assist.

          • @luketechfast: oh and two last things.

also when does this promotion end?

and i have been eyeing down your 3700X systems but dont need a powerful graphiccs card, do you have a separate build where i still get the 3700X but like a lower graphics card?

            thanks a lot!

  • The designer of the case couldn't afford a spirit level?

  • These good for video editing? thinking at least 1080p editing.

  • Techfast are very close to getting my money….
