    Just called PayPal after not being able to make second purchase of 500 gift card and was told the account has been cleared but do not attempt to login or make purchase within next 24 hours. Odd anyone got told the same.

      I just rang as well. Yesterday they were able to do security verification on my account which let me place one order but it stopped working after that. They told me this morning that they can only do the verification once every 48 hours so nothing they can do. What a stupid system.

    The only gift card deal I can think of that beat this was in the early days of Ebay + merchant were selling physical $20 GC's all varieties at ($12) 60% . They were charging Ebay $15 delivery per card eg a sellers sold 200 X $20 cards at $2400 and received instantly $3000 postage from Ebay into their PP A/C . 100k 's of cards were sold during this brief period . We were only customers buying with both my wife and Dad kicked out of Ebay + . Not sure what happened to the merchants .

    After many tried and fails, called paypal, did it while was on the phone after they sent me a sms security check thing and it worked.

    Its not like when the CC seemed like it worked then failed as it appears to have actually completed the transaction.

    Now just waiting on the emailed codes. Will be sweet if it actually works as can then grab a switch by double stacking discounts.

        If I'd spent that time doing some actual work, then even at minimum wage levels, I would have made at least $94.65, instead of zero. 😫

                @Keveira: I just created a fresh 2x UK accounts and used my PayPal account that I've had since 2007. My address in my PayPal account was like from 7 years ago too so I'm surprised any worked. I paid on debit card to I PayPal. The first lot went through (somehow I managed to purchase 6x $250) but the second lot I had issues with PayPal and looping for verification. I just deleted my chrome history, rebooted the computer and then updated my PayPal address to my current Australian address and the looping disappeared and it went through fine.

                Funny enough I have all my gift cards but PayPal is actually late in taking the second transaction of circa $400 from my bank. So I haven't even paid for it yet but have the gift cards…

    As long as yr order over $250 AUD you get the good discount.
    No issues with paypal as straight through.

      Were they all from PayPal digital gifts?
      Tried 5 x wish and 5 x woolies and was pending then cancelled

      Not sure if this was because it exceeded the 5 x card limit (if this limit applies to 5 from same seller or 5 of same type)

    'Does not deliver to address' -> So Put in my AU address
    Goes into checkout page, add POUNDSOFF -> 'Code Error'

    That was like my 6th try in the last hour so bummer, could be something I'm doing wrong.

        You are confusing him.
        You can't change registered address from UK to Australia. If you do this, the promo code won't work. You are supposed to only change the postal address to Australia.

    Placed order last night using CC as Paypal was failing. Order went through but was in pending payment processing. Woke up this morning to order cancelled status. Tried again this morning and Paypal login worked this time and order placed but no emails oe activity on Paypal account. Order is in Payment being processed state for the last one hour.

      Try calling PayPal. My PayPal didn't work and I tried new eBay accounts and new credit card . Failed. After a few hours I called PayPal and they sent me a verification code and it worked fine afterwards (45 min on the phone)

    Yesterday I called paypal because I can't pay this item on ebay. After that, they send a sms to my phone, it can go through. But today same problem again, I called again, they said they can't do nothing about that.

    Called PayPal today just now:.. worked!! I think I might know the issue. The lady said it’s the bank card normally stopping payment as it deems it risky.., so a call to the bank might help

    I just created my sixth account to buy for my sister and all went through. I had a problem when add Paypal, they sent me the validation code but it keeps refreshing. I tried to create new paypal and added again, when they asked if I wanted to remember, I chose later and all went through. Got $500 set and $250 ebay GC.

        I called with option 1, then option 4. Girl was really helpful sent me a text read out the code then stayed on the phone until i said it worked. Maybe just call again in few minutes and hope u get someone different

          I tried option 4 but got a guy who sounded pissed off by the 'fifty' calls he'd had regarding this and asked what the big deal was with people buying gift cards out of the UK all of a sudden. Just managed to get my order through on a credit card i'd already tried three times previously..

    Bought 2x $500 (2x$200+1x$100) eBay gift cards across two more accounts and had both accounted banned, also received this message.

    Oddly the payments still came out of my account, and I can't see any bid history (perhaps because my account is banned). Another post with an account that got banned said they still received the gift cards, so I'm hoping the same happens in my case. No indication that my Paypal will be banned so I'm keeping my fingers crossed haha.

    This is a little crazy!

    I purchased $2k (4x$500) of Flight Centre and only been changed for 3 lots. But I have got all the gift cards.

    Anyone else get delayed withdraws. I checked the transactions in Paypal and they all came off the same card.

      To maximize the discount with ebay cards:
      buy $500 worth, 2 x $200 + a $100 = $408
      then buy $250 worth, a $100 + $150 (or a $200 + a $50) = $204
      5 cards total over the 2 transactions = $750 for $612 = 18.6% off

    I've tried to use this gift card purchased on an ebay.com.au purchase in australia and got the message:
    You can't redeem a gift card for orders in other countries.
    Can the gift card only be used for UK orders?

      The cards work fine on Ebay Aus, I've used many in the past without issue, and I used one of this batch last night without issue..

      You're trying to use them on the ebay.com.au site right?

      Can you post a link to the card you purchased that's causing the issue?

      Yep got the same problem here on 2 new accounts I created. I reckon it might be because I used the same name when I created the UK ebay accounts. The discount code works, put can't pay, either by Paypal or CC.
