    To speed up the PayPal 'unblock' process, make sure you dial 1800 073 263 from your linked mobile number and press:

        Did it recognise your account based on the number you called from and the pin provided (steps 1 and 2)? If so, the subsequent steps I listed should work for everyone.

    I tried a bunch of things(paypal account limited) but just then i got it to work by adding giftcards from officeworks in the same transaction

    EDIT: Officeworks went through but ebay ones didnt!

      I'm at the point of giving up also, called PayPal a second time was told my account is blocking it due to too high a risk and not all accounts will work with an unlock code or whatever everyone else is talking about here.. i stayed on the phone for fifteen minutes trying to get a different result but no luck.

    Not all accounts can be verified with the security pin method (hence why the agent can't do anything more), you're just lumped in the high-risk bucket (even if you had cash deposited in your PP balance) and the account is SOL (go figure as to how they categorize them).

    ok guys, try this, was using pc, now switch to mobile app and use 4G instead of wireless (make sure not same network), works! paid with PayPal, maybe device mac address/wireless/what so ever has been blacklisted on their server.

    For all the people skipping straight to this page, I have just had success, after 3 banned accounts.

    • Incognito tab
    • Sign up using UK phone and Phone (https://www.ukphonebook.com)
    • Go to top left, click your name, then account settings. Go to addresses. Enter in new delivery address (leave original address alone.) Make the new delivery address your aussie one, make it primary, use a fake mobile number
    • Add the cards to your basket and go to check out
    • Click paypal, sign in, it then asked me to verify, I clicked verify and it sent me a text and confirmed my identity
    • Paste in the discount code and apply the code - you should see the discount applied.
    • Complete the payment

    This worked no worries for me for $500 of eBay cards.

        Everything looked like it was going to work, but it didn’t. No payment came out anywhere from any of the suspended accounts. Doing the above worked fine (for me that is). It really does appear to be different for each persons setup

    Used phone app and had to call PayPal to lift whatever the restriction was as I was getting the "Something went wrong…" error when processing payment. Code wouldn't work on desktop for some reason.

    Got it processed while on the call and it successfully went through.

    Hi All,

    I am trying to purchase gift card from yesterday, i am able to apply the discount code successfully. But problem is i am not able to make the payment.
    Tried Paypal multiple times but it greyed out after 2 attempts, called paypal care multiple times , they always says your account is at high risk, we cant do anything for you, check with seller.
    Tried credit/ debit card options but it did not work.

    Any suggestion please??

      Same as the problem I had. I couldn't solve it. I think one reason may be past purchases from the same seller. You can still buy from other sellers with discount.

    Alright, after about half an hour of trying to get this deal to work I've managed to make the order through Paypal. 2x $50 Netflix cards and 2 x $200 ebay cards.

    I ran into both issues of the coupon not working, and Paypal giving me grief. Here is what I did.

    Coupon not working:
    My checkout cart had switched to ebay.com.au, so change the domain to co.uk in the address bar.
    Make sure your REGISTRATION address is the UK one, and add your Australian address as a Postal Address and the Primary. (different section)

    Paypal grief:
    At first I had to verify my account by receiving texts with codes and entering them multiple times. Every time it would say verify and reload the checkout page, I would have to verify again? I tried going in and out of the checkout page to no avail. Then , on a 3rd go, the Paypal option was greyed out saying there were difficulties.
    What you do: Open google chrome incognito tab and go right through the process of logging into ebay.uk , checking out, logging into paypal again, entering coupon code and wah-la. All good to go!

    So to confirm they can only do one security check reset for your account within 24-48 hours. So buy as many as you can in one go. i stopped to check accounts to confirm things then tried again and asked me for id check and it bugged out.

    No luck last night but this morning got one step further using cc (PayPal wouldn't work).

    "We received your order and are processing your payment." Purchase history says "Payment being processed", then a bit later got an email saying "Sorry, your recent payment for the item(s) below did not go through. Please return to eBay to send your payment again." Purchase history changed to "This order wasn't successful. Order cost has not been included in the total amount", and it got moved under Returned & Cancelled Orders.

    Repeated with same result. Tried adding ebayUK email address to PP but still couldn't complete the payment that way.

    Failed a third time with cc. Haven't decided whether to bother calling PP.

    For those who have are having PayPal issues - the following one of the two tricks worked for me:

    a) Add everything to cart using desktop browser and then use ebay mobile app to checkout
    b) Call PayPal and ask for a supervisor and request they stay on line to override while you checkout - they will initially say that they can't help etc but request a couple of times politely and they will help.

    Use PayPal already paid in one order:
    Keeps saying lets verify your PayPal account.

    Use Dad's PayPal account, allowed to use, but voucher code doesn't work anymore :

      It seems to be a glitch at their end which has confused $A and $GBP, it should be 50 GBP off a 500 GBP spend, but it has ended up as 50 pound (A$92) off a A$500 spend .. You have to expect some confusion considering it seems to be an error in their system…

      there is no limit as such - they allow you to split payments. If you have say payment to be split across 10 cards, suggest using self serve checkout to avoid getting looks from other people :)
