              There is no way to do it. They stopped accepting e-gift for gift card transactions like 8 - 10 mths ago

                  @[Deactivated]: It won't work. They do two separate transaction. Also, can't buy gift card through self check out, the operator has to manually activate them.

                  Have you actually done this before or are you just suggesting?

                  Because it seems the system detects there are gift cards in the transaction, and when egift is used to pay, it just goes Transaction Not Allowed until the gift card is removed from the transaction.

                  You can't override a "Transaction Not Allowed" in the payment terminal (EFTPOS machine)…

                    @cwongtech: I have tried everything I could to get eGift cards to work to purchase gift cards from Woolies, no avail.

                    I tried using a $30 wish card to buy a $30 gift card - no dice
                    I added another item to make the total over $30 - no dice
                    I went to the front counter who attempted to help and were confused as to why it wouldn't work and couldn't override it - no dice

                      Just enjoy the daily 6% rate you can get on your groceries I guess

      It's a bit late now but if you used the eBay UK deal that was on gift cards on the weekend.

      You could have bought EB Games gift cards for 18% off and then bought Nintendo eShop gift cards from EB Games. Therefore, getting 18% off Nintendo eShop.

      That's correct, load it to your Nintendo eshop account and it'll just stay for as long as you have the account.

      Only time it expires is if you change regions on your account to try and get better discounts from other countries.

      Just to add to @koston54, there is a limit of $200 per profile at any time. I.e. you cannot buy $300 eShop credits and just store it on a singular profile.
