  • My dhl status hasn't updated for over 24 hours. Still stuck on Departed Facility in HONG KONG - HONG KONG. Is this normal?

    • I'm in the same boat; yet to receive any update past departure from HK.

    • No, mine updated 3-4 times before delivery, thats over a tiny 48 hour period…

  • Just called them, and a guy told me that all phones will be shipped today, even he hasn't checked my order number. Also DHL will take 3 to 7 days for shipping. That's great! He said he can put mine in the priority order, but who knows.. I ordered my phone around 9:50pm on 11th. I feel hopless and really want to cancel it. Don't want it anymore.

  • Just gave them a ring [0296663055] and the attendant assured me they would be shipped out by this afternoon (HK time) from HK via either DHL or FedEx (shipment taking 4 or 2 days respectively) and I should expect an e-mail by tonight.

    They said NOBODY is being given priority (except eBay lol) and she did not even take my order number. (Just my name.)

    • I rang them yesterday and the lady told me it was in the process of being dispatched. 24 hours later, nothing has changed. I think it's useless to ring them, because they'll just lie to you, unless you create a big enough huff-n-puff that they will give it to you to shut you up.

  • still no status change. No point contacting them now, they keep saying "it'll be dispatched either today or tomorrow". They might put in "Order Dispatched" but it's actually not, just to make me stop contacting them.

      In the same boat as you, I paid for the phone 11/07/11 on 21:43.

      If it makes you feel any worse, according to a guy on whirlpool, he ordered on 27/7 and already has his phone in his hands. How's that for service?

  • It's currently 13:43 Friday in Hong Kong, still something like 5 hours to dispatch on their side.

    Mines been stuck departing the facility in HK since 9am yesterday.

    • Consider yourself lucky, I still haven't got tracking details. (Hasn't been dispatched.)

    • I'm the same here; I'm guessing it's due to logistic limitations. Adelaide doesn't have too many direct freighter flights let alone one from HK.

    • I just rung up the DHL customer service and was told that it was shipped via Singapore to here but contradictory to our own records of tracking, my specific package has arrived in Adelaide as of 1100.

      Then I was told that from what the rep can see, it is currently being held by customs as they would like to double-check the invoice or something and that currently electronics are being heavily scrutinized for inspections…won't get it till Monday or Tuesday. Bummer…

    my order is still stuck at "paid"… no mention of shipping/delivery

    not bothered personally, but this is no way for a business to run; so i've made an official complaint to the Department of Fair Trading, targeting the parent company (Apus Corporation Pty Ltd)

    sent ss a support ticket saying that if i receive my phone by COB tuesday, i'll withdraw the complaint.

    • you shouldn't withdraw even if you receive by Tuesday because it's their business practice that needs to be acknowledged by the FTO

        by "withdraw", i meant to withdraw… SS STYLE!!!

        which means i'll think about withdrawing for about 3 weeks, promise by email that it will be withdrawn today, which becomes tomorrow, which becomes the next day, and the next, etc.

        i mean, it's not like i actually care about the other party.

        • And then in three weeks you can't be bothered to withdraw so you tack another month on the delay?

        • Precisely. Because there was a totally unexpected shortage of withdrawals in stock, probably caused by other, more recent, higher value withdrawals.

    These guys are liars. Especially Christine. This is the last item I am going to buy from them. We shall all not buy from them again and post bad comments buying from them in forums.

    Worse case scenario, many of us will have to wait for more days because of shortage in their HK warehouse. I hate SS!!

  • If you buy a phone from their Ebay auction, they state the delivery date is estimated between Wed. 10 Aug. and Wed. 17 Aug.

    My guess is that they ran out of supply on Wednesday… so more delays ahead.

    to those who have lost patience with this company, feel free to spend 5 minutes to type up your complain and lodge to OFT

    the amount of time we have given to them to deliver is way too much now …. coupled with the lies after lies story and the free interest they are earning on our $$$

    • good on you. however, just to put things into perspective, you only lost about $3 interest (7% pa, $523, 1 month)

      if i ask myself, "is it worth paying $3 to get a $617 phone for $523?" then i would say yes.

  • So something just hit me… I ordered 2 phones which comes out to over $1000 and they are getting the phones sent from HK… see where I'm going here?

    If my phones get held up by customs and then I have to pay gst/fee or whatever it is cause items being imported are over $1000… um… yeah… WTF? What should I do if this happens? I'm gonna epic rage that's for sure :(

    • and you didn't even import, you bought from an Aussie company Apus Corporation Pty Ltd which is a 100% Australian Owned Business as they claimed.

  • Has anyone's order been processed since wednesday? It seems like they sent out a few (very few) orders on wednesday to keep us (some of us) happy, but then have not done anymore since then, despite promises of all orders shipping this week. This is getting ridiculous!

    • From what I've read from the past few pages, only a small handful had received theirs. Out of 500 people, most of us are still sitting on paid, others have received a dispatched notice but their orders have been stuck in hk. SS is an absolute joke. Calling them up/sending them tickets aren't getting us anywhere because they keep feeding us BS… promising today/tomorrow etcetc

    Just logged on to see the latest posts here. Am I the first one to get my Galaxy S 2 delivered? Got mine on Friday, prick room mate gave it to me on Sat afternoon. The best thing? I got 2 x Galaxy SII delivered by mistake from SS. God damn, should I return the other one, my room mate is begging me to give it to him for $250 which will halve my cost to get the SII. What the hell?

      If you keep it it's almost as bad as stealing, and I wouldnt give it away for $250. If your gonna steal, sell it for a profit as you are taking most of the risk.

    The people who were saying the phones might not be new, they are new and sealed. It didn't look re-packaged or re-sealed. The mistake 2 x phone sent to me might had been an admin issue, especially after the fiasco that was this deal. I had an SS membership 1 year ago (forgot the password) and I made a new one just to get this phone, obviously the address is the same for both. Maybe that's why they sent me 2 by mistake? I am sure more people will get getting theirs on Monday or later next week. I was one of the first to buy it. Hmmm, just checked eBay, yea I can flog this for $500+ on eBay but my room mate wants it for $250. Difficult, will contact SS and see what they say first. Don't want to open it yet. My friend keeps saying they are a multi-million dollar company, what is one extra phone, hehe. Dodgy guy. He will probably sell it to buy an iPhone 5, the iPhone lover that he is.

    you've done the right thing by emailing them back, otherwise I'm pretty sure it's considered theft.

      By them delivering the product late and gaining the interest on the money collected is not theft? Let me emphasise deliberately delaying the delivery of what we pay for. I say keep the extras you receive. We obey the rules on their T&C, we should get what we pay for. Next week will be lawyer time and they will bear all cost.

      • So I assume you're also only on "Shipment information received"?

        After doing some research, it looks like DHL have not even got their hands on the phone yet, but merely notice to pick it up… "This means that DHL has received a manifest containing the shipment but that it has not yet physically entered the DHL network." So looks like a bit more of a wait but by the looks of other people's tracking here, once DHL have actually picked up the phone then the phone should be in Australia by the next day?
