  • dupe?

    • Not really as Jetstar advertised a higher price. Sub $400 is what you want for a low cost carrier, over $500 was too much when the full services weren't too much more.

      • +2

Yeah, when I added baggage (only 15kg one way 20kg return) the price shot up to only $50 less than when I flew direct with Japan airlines with 2 x 30kg baggage per person each way and food/ent included. Just not worth going with them from Melbourne anymore unless you can deal with carry on only.

        • I agree, same for flying from Sydney, price shot up 120 each way, just for adding luggage and food.

  • +1

Its pay per view last time I went with jetstar.

    • $15 each to enable the seat back entertainment 🙄

Qantas' deal is very competitive depending on how much you can take advantage of the inclusions (entertainment, luggage, meals, drinks, ff perks), but maybe not great if flying a family.

  • +1

Can you add baggage on the Jetstar site for a fee after booking on one of the OTA sites?

  • +3

Those links for Sydney didn’t show those prices in title :/

  • If the sales are for after April I can't expect any deals to come up for February can I?

  • +1

Gold Coast to Tokyo Narita $299 return with club Jetstar… May 2020 direct thru jetstar

    • +4

      Man that's crazy cheap.

    • Some dates were 389, others 329 or 319?, which with Club Jetstar came to 299.

  • +9

Prices aren't that cheap when I click some of the links.

  • +5

Prices are cheaper directly from Jetstar, and more dates too, as they currently have a return for free promo.

I booked Melb > Tokyo for 16-23 June 2020 for $358 returned today.

  • I got Cairns > Tokyo Return, with 20kg baggage and seat allocation both ways for $490 (including purchasing Club Jetstar) which I was happy with. Now to hope for a miracle that someone has a sale on JR passes before March? lol

  • +1

clicking those links, prices are much higher.

  • -2

All links lead to higher prices, false advertisng!

    • Champ it is supply and demand… this link has been on ozbargain for 15 plus hours and has 800 clicks (plus no doubt heaps of people who went straight to jetstar and didn't add to the click tally. Did you even try getting anything on the australian geographic deal recently? ;-)

      • +1

To be fair the prices have surged to the point that it's not really a bargain anymore.

    • Being sold out does not justify a neg.

  • +1

Greta Thunberg says.. How dare you!! have such cheap flights.
