[Special Order] DJI Mavic 2 Zoom Drone $298 Pick up /+ Delivery @ Bunnings

6764

Update : I am getting THE Drone and many more ozb mates.

Thanks Bunnings for making all of us SUPER HAPPY

—————-

Shhhhh.. 🤫 …. Enjoy :)

Note : Check your PICKUP LOCATION or You may End up travelling to another state.

Or You can get it for $1999 @ JB Hi-Fi or HN if that is nearby ;-)

The Mavic 2 Zoom from DJI is a professional quality film making drone that gives you the ability to get closer to the action, thanks to its 2x 24-48mm optical zoom camera with a 1/2.3" 12MP sensor. With 4x lossless zoom (including 2x optical zoom) you can capture sensitive subjects from an even greater distance. There's even a single-tap aerial mode called Dolly Zoom that gives a Hitchcockian effect to your footage.

The Mavic 2 Zoom utilizes a low-drag aerodynamic body design for achieving speeds up to 47.7 mph, a four-cell LiPo battery for up to 31 minutes of flight time, and low-noise propellers for filming without being distracting. This power and performance are coupled with a variety of shooting modes and capabilities for cinematic results.

In order to help keep the Mavic 2 Zoom safe and in control, DJI has provided OcuSync 2.0 video transmission technology that can transmit a video feed to the included controller from up to 5 miles away in Full HD 1080p quality. There's also omnidirectional obstacle sensing that provides object avoidance with sensors on all sides of the Mavic 2 Zoom.

12MP 1/2.3" CMOS Sensor
2x 24-48mm Optical Zoom + Dolly Zoom

"session not found", then try to repurchase by adding cart etc for 30 mins to no avail… Checked order history is not there….

    but card got deducted $308..

Hopefully will get the order confirmation !

  • I think bunnings site crashed :)

  • +7

Wonderful. Best of both world that I can buy a cheap drone and pick up a sausage from Bunnings with it.

    • hahahhahah

  • +1

if you didn't receive an order confirmation or didn't get to the receipt page, the "invoice ID" at the bottom of your PayPal receipt is essentially your Bunnings order number. it starts with "W100xxxxxxx".

can someone who has received their Bunnings email confirm?

    • +1

I was probably one of the first to order. Received email within 2 minutes.

      • can you confirm if the order number starts with ^^ ?

  • Nice deal but surely an error lol

  • Literally just got a confirmation email…

EDIT - Not sure if it's the actual confirmation email?

'Thank you for your order – we’ll be in touch soon to let you know when your order is ready for collection.
Please ensure you bring this order confirmation and photo ID to collect in store.'

Then has barcode and order ref etc…

  • Online store T&C do state

    “Orders
{snip}…. We will be bound to supply you the Goods once payment has been processed and we have sent you an email order confirmation.

    And

“These terms and conditions apply to the exclusion of all others.”

Which reads to me like shooting themselves in the foot with regards to the Errors and Omissions clause elsewhere on the site for those that get the order confirmation emails.

    • Yup. Well I received the email order confirmation, so I hope they honour it

  • +1

Also why is this in the laser measures category on the website lmao

  • Unable to open the page now. Must be getting updated.

  • Did anyone who ordered after 8:10am receive a confirmation email?

    • nope :(

    • I ordered at 8:21. Still waiting for confirmation from Bunnings. Its in my profile on bunnings website but no email from them.
Got the email from Zip payment saying it was successful.

  • They pulled this, its over. I ordered 5 units hope they honor

    • …was it ever a deal to begin with?

  • +2

Call your local store and ask to speak to the special orders department!
She didn't say the price at first but when she said "because it is under $500 you will have to pay it in full now sorry sir" I knew we were in bois ;)

Got a text with a link to the receipt!

    • So you ordered one over the phone??

    • Ready to pickup?

    • +1

ive called them 4 times yet to get through lol

    • what are ya waitin for…??
      GO GET YOUR DRONE!!!

    • +1

I did the same. Did it as a backup to my online order getting cancelled. If I get both then that's a good problem to have!

    • Did the same. Called the special order desk, processed payment, received receipt. Given I'd tried to transact on the website twice and recieved no confirmation emails (but the money is gone from my account) I'm feeling mildly confident about this transaction. Guess we'll wait and see.

  • Once confirmed go there before HR notified branches, then Bunnings can get it to you at that point.

    • The money has been taken but no receipt from Bunnings yet. Thank God I paid through PayPal, I atleast am covered with buyer protection.

  • +1

    …and they're dead…

Sorry, we’re sorting out a technical issue.

Either their servers are getting hammered, or someone had brought the system down to do pricing updates (or both).

  • +2

cant add to cart anymore :(
    the wheel keeps spinning

  • -1

Well if this was posted at 7am and people actually went there on the spot you would have picked up it for $298!!

Think many already at Bunnings and picked theirs up!

    • …seriously doubt that

    • call my local bunnings, it's toombul QLD and need to wait for a few weeks

    • It’s a special order… sigh even if it says available in store it is still a special order, ie it was always to be ordered in, either to in-store pickup or direct delivery to customer

  • +1

Called my local store and ordered, Lady goes did you just call me before cause I just processed an order over the phone a minute ago. I got my receipt instantly as well.

  • Looks like the item is getting hammered pretty heavily.

  • +1

I have just called them to confirm the price.

    Just kidding :)

  • Same as above I paid for order amount deducted but the Bunnings site is still spinning on the checkout page. No emails and no order showing.

  • +2

…how many of you actually need a drone? :D

    • +3

How many of us needed an Epilator?

      • The missus used it last night.
        She DID need it!

      • …what? did i miss a killer epilator deal??? shoot.
you have no idea how long ive been waiting for one….

    • +6

Everyone needs an $1,800 drone for $300..

      • -1

        …yeh. not really :D

        • +4

          This is ozbargain not ozneccessities

      • Either gonna sell it or my aging Air..

    • +2

I don't need one but bought one. It's the Ozbargain way.

    • For this price I am willing to buy one for each of my cats, and I have many cats

  • PayPal payment just got stuck but my Amex has been charged so atleast im in the game. No email confirmations though. Ill go down to my local tomorrow with a printout of the Amex statement and the item as listed on their website and see what they say.

  • Cannot add to cart. Damn, missed it

    • Managed to order over the phone.

  • Well I guess they have found out what happens to their site and payments when they get smashed..

  • +4

Ordered 1 at 7:41 and just received confirmation email at 8:49.

    • +3

      Ok lets start 😛

Ordered 7.45 no emails as 8.55

      • Ordered at 8:14 still no emails as of 9:02

    • Ordered at 6:38, confirmation email received at 7:08 (QLD time, so add an hour)

  • Seems to be broken now :(

  • +1

took a while but got the confirmation email from Bunnings :) (paypal was was 1 hr ago)

  • so their website still shows the same price but now:

Price correct as at Thu 17 Oct 2019 8:00:01am

    hmmmm

    • +3

To be honest the price check thing is probably just a website counter that self-updates. Nobody could possibly check the price that frequently on all products. Makes it look like they are keeping on top of the best prices around. Doesn't help if you can't even order it.

Anyone else notice when you sign in, browser at bottom sends request to Facebook.com???
    Then c.contentsquare.com?
    Suspicious???

    • +2

….most of the internet sends requests to Facebook.com these days…havent you noticed?

    • +1

Pretty much every site out there will have a 'Facebook pixel' installed. Its pretty much the same as the Google tracking installed on just about every website. If it bothers you, block cookies, install adblockers, read up on basic privacy measures.

  • -2

Not sure why everyone is saying it's pulled, still showing the same price and can add to cart here

  • Can't add to cart. Dammit!

  • Website is full cooked, can't order :(

  • -1

Maybe it’s a clearance item XD
Bunnings is just next door to me, to lazy to go..

  • First lady at my local store over the phone said it was suspended item. She put me through to special orders anyway and I ordered successfully..

  • We also broke their call center hahaha

  • called one store she said its suspended, couldnt order

    • I called and ordered 2 mins ago. Went through. Got receipt.

  • Like said best to go there, online and phone is not good, you need face to face communication!

  • Thats it … only can 'add to wish list' crap :(

  • +2

Online shopping terms of use: https://www.bunnings.com.au/online-shopping-terms-conditions

    1. Orders
All accepted orders supersede all previous quotes/estimates. We will be bound to supply you the Goods once payment has been processed and we have sent you an email order confirmation.

Interesting to see how this plays out.

    • +3

You need to be looking at 6. Cancellation & Returns.

(iv) there has been a genuine pricing or product description error by Bunnings or its supplier. We will refund any amount already paid in respect of any cancelled order (and in the case of part cancellation of an order, we will refund the amount paid that relates to the cancelled portion of the order).

    • Payment is showing as pending on my bank app. Does that count?

  • +5

Let’s see what happens in 5 mins when the employee gets to there desk with the morning coffee

  • +2

    Bunnings Online Website…

    Testing Results…..

Performance testing : PASS - was able to withstand a few hundred orders from OzB users. Faux orders created, soon to be cancelled

Call Centre testing : FAIL - they broke it.

  • -1

    Wow already on gumtree!

  • -6

Just order through a Bunnings been told it’s a promo price end tonight at 9 pm order accepted and Bunnings receipt sent

  • Got a digital receipt. Yeowwwwwwwwww

  • just called the special order and placed my order. yay

  • Are they available on shelf if I go in? Never seen them

    • +1

Special order and a few business days to get them delivered to the stores I think.

  • Hope people get it at this price. Too lazy to gamble on this.

  • Called my local store to put in an order and when I got through to special orders they said the price was "deactivated"

  • Successfully ordered mine and paid via Zip just to make it all the more difficult for them to cancel the transaction!

    • No, it’s easy to cancel the order. Harder for you to get your refund quickly

      • I've tried a Zip refund at officeworks and at scorptec before… it was a HUGE pain in the arse for them.

        • But did they end up doing it?

          • @iol: scorptec did, but officeworks ended up giving me a more expensive monitor for the same price as the one i returned so they didnt have to refund. i saved about $100

  • I have called their special orders department, placed the order and got the receipt on my phone. Lady mentioned if the item is out of stock at some stage, it will be refunded.

    Fingers crossed.

    • Do you expect ex-stocks after this ozbargain 😛😢

  • -5

Looks like few ppl picked up order from above lucky bastards.

  • +21

Funny, I called the call centre and after 10 min wait, this guy laughing said are you after the drone. I said yes, he said you are number 300. He said it is a genuine pricing error and ALL who ordered will be refunded. Now back to work guys :)

    • +4

You must be new here. Dont ring call centre. Call a local store and put a order through that way.

    • +3

Haha poor bloke @ warehouse gets to work.. Nek mini 500 calls. They will be pissing themselves and some dude's head will roll..

    • Any vouchers promised ?
