      • +2

add both cards to extend sub by 2 years

        • +2

Seems so obvious now, thanks mate!

  • +1

Would have been nice to get the 20% off after 10am…….won’t last that long but.

  • +1

    Bought 2, thanks op.
Even Bing Lee 20% off doesn't come close to this price

  • Can it be stacked?

    • +1

      Yes

      • thanks

        • up to 5 years can be stacked.

  • +1

Thanks OP, lets see if we actually get them!

  • +1

    Thanks OP.
    Got 2 also.

  • +1

    An absolute bargain!!!!

  • +1

Thanks. Its fun to refresh the page to see the quantity sold

  • +1

Is this great at this price? I'm looking at it for OneDrive. How is it's performance vs the likes of Dropbox and Google One?

    • +2

Onedrive is more seamless when using a windows device.

    • +1

The iOS is also great. I've been using OneDrive for my cloud storage for years.

  • Just a one year subscription version.
What happened after one year, can you renew the subscription with another pack, or have to pay the regular yearly subscription fee?

    • +1

Or you can buy multiple of this and enter all the keys at one time as Office 365 allows you to enter multiple years worth of subscription keys at one time.

    • Yes, you can renew with another pack

    • +2

You can stack up to 5 years + 1 month(when you choose auto renew, can be take off after your own activation), once purchase it will activate by the supplier, no point having two accounts, so stack it up.

  • +1

    Bought 2, thanks OP.

  • +1

Definitely a pricing error but bought anyway, who knows!.

At this point 160 sold in 1 hour and surging.

  • out of stock

  • out of stock…

  • What's wrong with using Google Apps for FREE, or Libreoffice for FREE?

    • +4

      OneDrive mate

      • +1

Yep 1tb per user is brilliant.

    • Horses for courses.

    • +2

Nothing is free. If something is free you are the product + 5 TB OneDrive is much better than 5 GB of Google Drive.

    • +4

You get given account details instead of using your own and there's a solid chance that this will cut out at any time as sellers don't often use legit methods to create these accounts.

    • +3

      From the listing…

“You will get NEW account only for you, used only by you and your devices.
There is no CD/DVD, license key or serial key/code.OFFICE 365 IS ONLY WORK WITH USER NAME AND PASSWORD
It cannot be used to renew an expired subscription.
You cannot use your own email address for this subscription.

Please, keep in mind to remember your password after change.
I am not reponsible in account login trouble in case of forgotten pass.

This subscription is part of academic license,
giving you a priority of lifetime usage!”

    • +12

      The difference I guess is:

The website has a non AU phone number for an AU business.
The checkout process charges in USD not AUD
The domain was registered on 21/jun/2019 and yet they have had 200+ million customers
The address, 44 Millicent Drive, MARTINS CREEK, Australia, doesn't locate on Google maps.
But sure roll the dice, The Contact us button doesn't do anything

To their plusses though, they say "When we sell our own products, we get excited about individual product features and specifications."
I bet Myer doesn't "get excited about individual features"

    • +1

They buy 1 dollars .edu email account to get a free office 365 subscription. And then they sell you this subscription.

      • Get a free .edu email account with free 0365 = FREE!

  • +3

    Ozbargained

  • They will return your funds in line with their obligations per T&Cs…

    • I wonder how this works for people that paid with eBay gift cards?

      • Money goes back to the cards.

  • I ordered 2 of these yesterday. Sale has been cancelled with absolutely no explanation by Myer, this morning. (But we can guess why!)

Good luck to those who've ordered today, it's now showing as "Out of Stock".

  • Thanks OP. Bought 10.

    /joke

    • +1

Is it really a joke tho someone actually bought 10 👀

      • I bet some did.

        • +1

          Someone actually bought 10 at 8:12 & 8:15am

      • Ah pity they didn't restrict it to 1 per person. They will probably sell 9 of them on ebay for heaps more!

        • You can activate 5 codes at once to get 5 years of subscription. But yeah, it's more than likely they're planning on reselling them.

  • +2

Passed on this since I have an old copy of office where I don't have to pay a yearly sub.

Amazing deal for those that need it or want to resell, hopefully it actually gets fulfilled.

    • Yeah I don't quite understand how this is meant to be a good deal? Not in an OzB way but I mean just for the product it is. Especially if you had access to something like HUP.
      $15 once-off, done.
It may not be the latest 365 stuff but the changes are so incremental anyway.

      • +2

365 Home can be shared with 5 users (using their own email/Microsoft account, you just give them a link to activate the shared plan). Each of those users can install it on 5 devices. You get 25 installs of Office on your yearly plan. Each of those 5 users also gets their own 1TB OneDrive cloud storage which alone by itself is worth the money but when you split the $99 cost even if you only have 3 other friends that's $25/year for 1tb cloud storage and all of the office apps.

        • Anyone want to split this discounted version with me?

        • +1

365 Home can be shared with 5 users (using their own email/Microsoft account, you just give them a link to activate the shared plan). Each of those users can install it on 5 devices.

          incorrect

It is 6 users, on all their devices…

          • @jv: FWIW While you can install on all your devices, there is a limit of 30 Home subscriptions running at the same time, with each user getting five simultaneously signed-in devices.

      • Because there's no more once off payments anymore for those who missed out on the HUP dude.

        • Like I said … "had". I got my copy before the HUP change.

          • @dufflover: As did a lot of us. The point is that since it is no longer available, this is as good a deal as it has been for the Microsoft subscription model.

  • +2

It’s definitely a deal but paying a subscription for office is a bloody rip off…..even at this price.

Surely something like this is better?
    https://www.g2a.com/en-au/microsoft-office-professional-2019…

    Or

    https://softwareproworld.com/index.php/microsoft-office-2019…

Or, if you work for a company, try and purchase via Microsoft’s HUP

    • +2

Microsoft is changing the HUP so that you can only buy Office365. The thing is the discount still makes it quite expensive. If HUP still offered you to buy Office 2019 standalone, best to purchase a.s.a.p.

      • -1

        I'll be onto it today.

There are many alternatives though, as demonstrated in the two shortcuts above. I'd much rather the normal, installed version of Office - I currently use Office 365 on my work laptop and it can be slow and a bit cumbersome at times. Of course, the bonus is that it and your files are accessible from any terminal.

        • +1

I currently use Office 365 on my work laptop and it can be slow and a bit cumbersome at times.

You can install the apps as part of your subscription, no need to use the online versions…

    • Surely something like this is better?

That is a 1 pc licence.

With my subscription, I have 5 users using it across 12 devices… Everyone gets 1 TB OneDrive and 60 minutes of free Skype per month…

    • What's the difference between these and the ones you get on ebay for $12? Are these ones legitimate?

  • I've marked as expired as it's now out of stock.

  • +5

Its not a pricing error, the price is sucker bait. First 12 months for $33.95 then you pay the full price. $199 per year
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/p/office-365-home/cfq7ttc0k5…

If you don't need to use Macros, there are many free alternatives.
    Start researching here https://alternativeto.net/browse/search/?q=microsoft%20offic…

There is a free version of Microsoft's office online that does everything most people would use (but not those who use code to automate). It is similar to Google docs with different advantages and disadvantages. If you need something on your computer research (in no particular order):
    LibreOffice
    WPS Office Free
    Polaris Office
    SoftMaker FreeOffice
    Apache
If you need to automate using code (VBA or Macros) I think one free offering has it BUT, the language is very different to Microsoft VBA so there is a learning curve and, AFAIK, no easy way to convert any existing Microsoft VBA.

    • There is a free version of Microsoft's office online that does everything most people would use

LibreOffice does this and much more, offline. It’s bewildering why home user would pay, especially, since OneNote is always free.

      • As others have said, the OneDrive aspect is enough by itself. 6TB for $28/Yr is a great deal, even without free access to the Office suite.

    • -1

I use office online, had all the tools and is free

      Even works on chromebook

    • +3

the full price. $199 per year

The full price is $129 per year.

None of those free options give you 1tb of cloud storage.

I pay for Office for the storage, the apps are a free bonus.

    • As happens, two hours after posting this drops into my RSS
      https://fossbytes.com/best-alternatives-microsoft-office/

  • If stacking MS Office 365 Home licences, the maximum stack is 5 years.

  • I can't believe I missed this offer.
I love Office 365 - 5 user subscription. I use Outlook, Exel, Word and the included 1TB OneDrive inclusion per user, and so does the rest of my family.
This is (was) an insane deal :)

  • +1

Reminder: if your business uses O365 you can probably install it for free at home too.

    • This is cheaper than the HUP. I don't know how you get it for free.

      • Because if you are licensed for E3 or higher you are allowed 5 installs per user.

    • Do you need to use your work email though?

      • Yes you will need your work O365 account to download and activate.

  • +1

Just got an email from Myer saying they have received my order and it is being processed. Fingers crossed it goes through.

  • +2

man if this 'subsrciption' deal is good, the HUP deals a year ago was like gold then

  • I SNOOZED… 😢

    • +1

      you losed!

  • I had trouble with comparisons with so many phony products out there and joined gramps club : (

  • if your a student you get it for free anyway with a valid student email address.

    • Does that include MS-Access, Publisher, onedrive and skype credit?

      • Access - yes
        Publisher - no
One Drive - I think Education / students get some OneDrive storage. Weren't there some OZB deals for OneDrive anyway?

Skype credits - no… but students get Office Education for free.. that's $0… How much did you pay for your Office365? Or, you are one of those people who have work funding MSDN subscription?

Students also get some Adobe apps for free.

        • How much did you pay for your Office365?

Around $80 per year is what I usually pay… There are 5 using it.

After tax, it ends up being just over $40…
