Thanks to the new Ryzen 5 3500X, this is the same price as we had the Ryzen 5 3600 PC ONLY for in Sept, but with a 27" AOC monitor and keyboard/mouse.

The first question will be: can we get the PC on its own for less? The answer is, if you spec up the Base Spec 3500X/2080 Super from about a week ago to be the same, that comes to $1596, so yes you can. Or, for an extra $50, get the monitor and keyboard and sell them and you're probably in front. But I can't do this deal's system's spec separately, for less. I think that makes sense.

Second, recommended upgrades to get the most out of your system are 16GB 3200MHz RAM (currently Team T-Force) for $59, 750W Bronze PSU for $49 (currently Thermaltake Smart BX1) and a case upgrade. We have sold out of the MasterBox NR400 so are getting in the Thermaltake Versa J24 RGB - similar dealio: improved airflow, better internally, great reviews, similar upgrade price ($89).

      the website says they use "Galax, Biostar, ASUS, MSI, Colorful, Inno3D, other TechFast-approved - all used as often as each other". MSI and ASUS go alright, I haven't heard of the other brands though. I'd also like to know if we could request a specific GPU brand in the build too

      The 2080 Supers have all been MSI Ventus to date. Other card models have been Gigabyte but not 2080 S. We've not used EVGA.

    I've saved up enough. Now I'm just patiently waiting for the right deal to come along.
    I really like the 5700 XT but I'm worried about the bad ones such as the evoke from reviews?
    So it seems much more of a gamble in getting a good or bad gpu with 5700xt's because we don't know what brand we get.
    What are everyones thoughts on this new case upgrade option as well?

      5700 XT will largely be MSI Mech. No Evokes.

    I would be interested in an Intel i7 or i9 deal with similar specs

    I only owned an AMD CPU once, admittedly about 10 years ago, but I regretted it and wont be back

    Have had multiple AMD graphics cards, wouldn't buy one again.

    What about some love for Intel buyers

      Intel reportedly has their own CPU shortage on their own fab. It would near impossible for luke to bulk order Intel CPU to fill the kind of magnitude of orders.

      It's a 1080P monitor, so no you can't. With such a beefy system, I would definitely want to run at least 1440P

      It's a very high entry point PC wise and will outperform consoles graphically for a very long time! The monitor and keyboard in the bundle is designed as entry level.

      I upgraded to the b450. From what I read I think it's worth it for the extra features and apparantly it works well with the x processors. Not that I know much about it lol
