      Just claimed it at City Cross Adelaide but actually got a different bundle that had 5 Gears of War games plus CoD:MW and Overwatch. They accepted the $4 preowned games I grabbed from the store as part of the trade in.

        Sweet, that was what I was hoping, upgrade my OG a couple of years ago and just bought the 2 cheapest games in store. Not long after that they changed it to selected pre owned games only.

      You have to reset/transfer yourself. The moment you hand the console over, presume EB will wipe the data once it’s done.

      You’ll need to google how to transfer, as there’s multiple ways of doing it with different results.

    You can get the gears of war bundle too with 7 games for the same price it also comes with a months free Xbox gold membership.

    Might want to include it in the description @iBuzz7S as it seems like a better deal if you don't mind the custom console 😁

    Mine had no stock of the normal Xbox One X so got the Gears of War one too. Unfortunately no Forza Horizon 4 with this bundle. The trade in was quick and easy as they only plugged it in to the TV to see if it turns on and they accepted my $4 fifa ps4 games.

        Just the box usually would do.

        Without a cover, I think they charge a refurb fee (I.e. plastic and printer charges) of like $2 last I checked. If trading in for the two games requirement, it should still be acceptable as there isn't a min game price.

        It's one or the other. The store has already marked up the trade in value, as such they won't apply the bonus. You'll still get carrots though, all 500+249+20 of them! Might even boost a level 1 to level 2!

    I did a snap decision to trade in my Xbox S with 1 Xbox One game and 1 PS3 (really cheap one, overwatch).

    But instead of getting the common Xbox X with 3 games, I asked EBGames to give me with the white XBox X and the 3 games (The new Modern Warfare, Forza+Lego, Overwatch again) which I know is rare (only a few left in Victoria) and I know the white one is very expensive to get ($600+). Paid $248

      I've done the same and have gotten the white edition but I noticed that my unit was manufactured in July 2018 which meant it's been sitting in the storeroom for at least a year. Is yours any newer?

    Called eastland store they confirmed it can be any game. No restrictions. I went in there and refused my still sealed copy of destiny 2 and refused to tell me wgich games could and could not be traded except that there is a huge list of games that wont be accepted.

    Suffice to say i will take my business to jb now. These guys are way sloppy. Also not even wearing name tags what is this world coming to

      EBGames Eastland sucks. I speak by experience. Don't get offended by their antics, just leave a feedback about them.

      That's why I'd rather go to Knox or Chaddy. Knox is desperately in need of business lol.

      In lukewarm defense of EB. They can't sell the disc because that version of Destiny technically doesn't exist anymore. It was completely reworked and is now a free to play download only game.

        At Kotara Eb I actually arrived and had forgotten my two games. Bought sky landers and an old nba game for four bucks a pop (used and old $5 gift card to pay for some of that) and immediately used them for the trade,

    Some stores have the same deal for the Gears of War limited edition One X, which IMO is better value. That's the package I got for my One S trade-in. Only changes from the above deal is GOW 5 Ultimate Edition plus GOW 4,3,2,1 and either Outer Worlds or COD MW.

    I just trade in my 500g Xbox one s at castle hills eb games.
    They accept any games… so I gave them just dance and another old game… and also they didn’t check xbox at all…I asked what happen if someone gives them a broken one, they told me they have a team can fix it.

    Just in 3 minutes, I finished my trade in and left their store with the new 1T Xbox one X with 3 games! Pretty happy!

    I got a variant on this today at eb games Kotara, gears 5 edition console, all five gears game, over watch and also choice of cod or outer worlds. Went for outer worlds, have it on games pass but keen to keep, well thinking about keeping anyways. All for 249, I went for the 319 version though trading in my original Xbox one

    You know what makes me happy? Buying back two games that EB paid me $3 for both when traded in, and getting $20 for both Today due to this deal.

    I got the GOW version (really liked it, but loved my money more when launched) and also traded in the physical games (COD and Overwatch) because I am really not into it. Got the price down to $200. Happy days!

    Thank you to the person who found that we could get the GOW version as well!

        Exactly! I saw the unboxing video a week before launch date, and their review of it got me hooked. The textured cracks of the ice and frosted skull was so cool in the video, and way cooler in real life. I happen to like the controller too.

        The whole bundle is just awesome. Too bad I don't need the month free live gold, and the game pass is only for new users and can't be added onto existing subscription (based on the card)

    Can't see why not. Your receipt should have your xboxs serial number so they should be able to help. Do it before they send it back to headquarters which I think they normally do

      Will need the power cord and the hdmi cable it came with. If you dont have those they will most likely charge you for them.

    This might be helpful for anyone that may have gotten an older stock from EB Games. You can get Microsoft to update your console's warranty date to 2 years from date of purchase if you provided them with a scan of your receipt.

    I got the white Xbox One X (Manufactured July 2018) from this deal and found the warranty was already more than halfway through when I unboxed it. Everything was brand new and the seals were intact so it doesn't seem like it was a pre-owned unit. Contacted Microsoft live chat and provided them the receipt and they reset the warranty to a full 2 years again.

    Microsoft said that sometimes retailers activate the warranty of the machines before putting them up for sale and in this case, the console was sitting on the shelf for more than a year.

      Most likely would be better dealing with the retailer anyway though, right? If any issues or usually better to go to the retailer rather than the manufacturer directly?

        Yeah, I would say dealing with a retailer in person may be more convenient but it's good to have a fallback where you can deal with Microsoft directly. Their online service tools seem pretty good and you can log a repair directly with them by yourself. From what I've read, you then get a shipping label and send in your Xbox.

      How do you see the manufactured date? I cant see it on the box. When checking online, mine says expiring 03/2021.
      what is the best way to contact MicroSoft Support. Multiple clicks took me to online virtual assistant.

        The date is printed on the back of your console, just above the serial number.

        You can try this link: https://support.xbox.com/en-AU/contact-us#0:2:5. Click "See other options", then "Show contact options". That should show the chat option and you should get a real person.

          Thanks contacted them and they advised the date format I saw 12/3/21 was American and my warranty is till Dec. 2021. So all good.

              @xwired: No. I had Xbox Gold trial and Game pass cards inside which had expiry date of June 2019. EB Games advised to contact Microsoft. Not that fussed as these are available only for new accounts which have not tried trials.

                @EnALup: I was in the same boat. The cards in my white console package said redeem by 30 June 2019 and after checking with Microsoft, they confirmed the codes are still active and the expiry dates are usually not enforced.

                It's odd that your warranty is showing 3 December 2021 but your codes have such an old expiry date. Is your console made in 2018?
