Looks like a decent deal. 20m length plus 2m connecting hose.
I searched for a Bunnings answer but it seems like they haven't discounted anything yet.
$19.99 for the soil rake/spreader is pretty good. I might head in store & see the quality. At that price I'd just get one.
Bunnings have taken $10 off their Saxon soil spreader to compete. Saxon has a slightly better handle IMO
I'm not seeing it for $10?
It is normally $29, now $19
Bunnings link for those playing along at home
25m hoselock at bunnings $39 if u ask
Retractable with the case?
Yes there $79 on bunnings sight but I asked for 2 at $39 each vic bunnings
Why did they discount it for you?
@placard: I asked
@Dex38313: can you post the reciept?
@F1Maniac: I’ll try find it as it was only about 2 months ago
Was the discount supposed to fund spelling lessons?
@D3m3ntia: Spelling and grammar
I think you mean Holman. Hoselock is 159 bucks.
I've been really disappointed in any Holman products I've purchased. I thought I was doing the right thing by buying Australian made / owned but the retractable hose reels last just long enough to be outside the warranty period and the extra hose fittings got brittle and broke down really quickly.
No defff hozelock 25m just looked
excellent price… I'm jealous :)
I'll give Aldi a go, and will wait for a good price on Hozelock….
I bought 2 at $79 on a price protection credit card, so if you do find your receipt please PM me so I can claim the price drop
@kcbworth: Pretty sure price drops require brochures or publically advertised prices
Didn't realise bunnings bargain…
So you just asked??
Yes I always ask for better price iv uploaded reciept
I feel like Dex is the type of person who spoke to 14 different staff demanding a better price, was in the store for 4 hours so they just gave him the price to get rid of him…
@Fincky: I just walk in to any bunnings find the item I’m after and pay my price then leave u gotta know how to shop at bunnings they will also price beat anyone including eBay
I need 30m 😞
That’s what she said.
At least I'll never have to say "where my hoes at" again.
My Aldi retractable hose is in direct North sun and besides the case being faded, it still retracts and operates fine after 3.5yrs
Can of spray paint and it will look brand new!
UV clear coat when new.
Like https://www.bunnings.com.au/dulux-duramax-325g-gloss-clear-s... ? (based on a quick google).
Mine has got afternoon sun for over 6 months, it's still good. I might try the clearcoat also but for 14 bucks I guess you could put that to the next unit. I picked up the SCA one later for 15 bucks so maybe not so worth it.
Is that a 'never nude' pushing the lawn mower?
I think she "blue" herself earlier ;)
Purchased two last year, neither lasted 3 months. Receipts meant they refunded with no dramas. Replaced with these :- https://www.delrico.com.au/ which cost more but work perfectly.
I bought a delrico about 5 years ago. Still works like new.
That’s a shift from the $40 version haha
Yes, but my neighbour has one he bought with his house a decade ago that's still working. This Aldi one lasted 3 months before the retracting mechanism failed. Sometimes it's worth spending more.
At this price point it’s Hoselink all the way
Bought a hoselock 25m from Bunnings and returned after 2 weeks , absolute crap , just bought another hoselink which are a lot dearer but last forever
I've been using hozelock for a few years and have been very impressed? 5 year warranty is amazing also
Anyone has experience with the push cylindrical mower? I wonder how it compares to Bunnings Saxon one https://www.bunnings.com.au/saxon-40cm-push-cylinder-hand-la...
any reviews for this for a bong? asking for a friend.
Complete newbie here - is Aldi retractable hose on par with Hoselock or Hoselink, or is it more close to the Holman from Bunnings?
All these naming confused the crap out of me…
Holman, my experience is that cheap auto retractable hoses are rarely worth the cost. Expensive ones work better but can still be a PITA. A decent hose with a hose hanger is almost as fast, has a whole lot less to go wrong and costs a lot less.
My Aldi one works better than my Hoselink one, but the Aldi one is faded :/
Anyone used Lawn envy $69.99 the grass cutting machine is this good ?
If only I had a backyard big enough to need one of these in the first place.
… Actually maybe not. I can barely look after the small patch of yard I already do have :(
Is the bracket simple enough to attach to a brick wall?
Youll likely need a masonry bit for $7 or so
We got one from repco about 4 years ago - faded now but still works pretty good!
we likely to see a bunnings price match for the hose reel? any idea which product they will match it to
Probably either the Aqua Systems or the Holman if they do.
Purchased one last year it is the worst hose.
anyone with the first-hand experience about the quality?
Hers the reciept for the $39 hozelock 25 walk mounted reals
Has anyone bought it from ALDI and can comment on quality of this hose and its retraction feature please?
Can anyone comment on the quality of retractable Aqua hoses in Bunnings please? I am thinking of buying one.
Aqua Systems 30m Auto Hose Reel
I think bunnings will drop the price of Aqua 20m to match with Aldi
Correct, 20m down to $49
How much was it normally?
I bought and used it yesterday. It is an okay quality. Hose feels like it is a good quality, but casing is cheap plastic. I have already mounted it on the wall, see how long it lasts for price of $50. Water flow pressure is not that great through this retractable hose, I am not sure why.
