    Got one yesterday from Apple Store. Worth purchase nice ANC. I ditched sennheiser true wireless buds for these. Though sennheiser had better much quality, but Mic was pathetic. So I returned them and bought Pro. Though I paid the full price even being a true Ozbargainer, but no regrets…

      id say these airpods are definitely miles beyond the predecessor. the anc works really well, surpassed expectation of what i we was expecting. and they work well with Android

    Ask JB if they can do a better price, got mine for $372.

    Had my gen 1’s since launch so these came out at the perfect time. $400 is pretty steep for the pro’s but would definitely recommend

    I still rather my Powerbeats Pro. Yes they’re bigger but they fit my ears better and they won’t fall off when I’m running. Plus they last so long without having to charge them up.

      id say they are totally 2 diff product category. powerbeats pro are more of a sports earbuds and doesn't have ANC.

    With how quickly the battery degrades in these TWS earphones since they are always fully charged, i dont think i would be able to bring myself to spend this much even if i do like it

      thats a good point.

      Ive had a pretty good run out of airpods originals.
      Still running really well.

      But good point that they essentially are boat anchors or more likely fish food when the battery dies in them.

      Nothing is Pro about them.. Apple is 12 months behind its competitors.

      It's just "apple fans" had to wait. At $399 they're an absolute rip off. There is over a $100 premium in these because they're apple.

        Exactly right. Same as those Kathmandu Gore Tex jackets. When in reality Gore Tex Level 3 Pro is excellent, the rest is garbage. Those jackets weren't level 3.

        Yet 100s of people bought it.

            @serpserpserp: This too. 99% of climbers don't even use gore-tex. It's too heavy on mountains. When you have to layer with thermals it's simply not needed. If you don't layer you'll simply get hypothermia and frost-bite. These are mainly $1000 jackets being sold to consumers.

        when the battery runs out you throw the $400 item in the bin. mine lasted 1 year of heavy daily use (1st gen), battery drained so much it would only last 10mins per charge. that's why i call them disposable, because you send them to landfill every few years. where as $5 wired headphones will last for ever provided they don't get damaged

      Apple care only lasts 2 yrs and they might not replace the airpods within that period if the battery still works fine. I would just buy with apple care and when the battery eventually dies, it might be cheaper to find alternative to fix it than spending money on ac for nothing

    How many years has it taken for Apple to realise that rubber tips are the only decent solution to stop ear phones falling out and creating a proper seal to block external sound and maintain good sound quality? I found some iphone headphones on the street yesterday and by grabthar's hammer they fit badly and sound like they are out of my ears half the time. Apple may have finaly realised what good design looks like but in true apple tradition they found a way to shaft their minions. The rubber tips are proprietary despite them lpoking like any other and despite the fact that production could be cheaper to go with tips that have been produced for decades.

    Personal Opinion: Airpods Pro may not perfect earphones, but i believe they are the best for everyday use. Sony's earphones are really good in some areas like Better ANC, but not everyone wants the best ANC and sony also have ear fatigue problem with majority of people.

    Airpods Pro : Better ear fit with less to no ear fatigue. way better mic quality than sony.

    Visited OW Clearance st and Pitt st stores in Sydney and called them as well. They all rejected as it's actually pre-order and website does not have real stock.
    JB hifi Pitt st store also rejected price match

        Edit: The reason I ask is because I've never price matched with an ozbarginer receipt before
