Free Bitcoins BCH + BSV for Circle Pay Early Adopters @ Circle

100

For those of us back in 2015 who received free $5USD worth of Bitcoins from this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/196172 if you log in online (not via the app), you'll see you have now received the equivelant value you had received in BTC in BCH and BSV. Even if you have already transfered, you would have received the same value at the time now.

This will only apply if you signed up for Circle back then.

You'll need to transfer these out of your Circle Wallet as they are closing the wallets down from 31st December 2019.

Email:

Hello from Circle,

As an early Circle Pay Bitcoin customer, we are writing you to let you know that we have credited your account with the crypto asset forks of Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin SV. Circle Pay users who held Bitcoin prior to August 1st 2017 on Circle Pay have been credited with both coins. For example, if you held 1 BTC in Circle Pay at the time of the fork but withdrew all of your BTC from Circle Pay already, you will now hold 1 BCH and 1 unit of BSV and none of BTC.

In June we started the process of deprecating Circle Pay globally and completed shut down for the product’s functionality on September 30th. However, as an eligible fork holder, we have continued limited product functionality to let you withdraw all of these assets as soon as possible.

To withdraw your coins, please log into your Circle Pay account on the web here. Here you will see your current BCH and BSV balance (note the mobile app does not support withdrawing the forks). You will need to create addresses in another wallet to send that BCH and BSV. You will only be allowed to withdraw the full amount for both coins. Please note, these transactions are irreversible and will not be able to be cancelled once initiated. Also, for some customers, we may need to collect further personal information from you prior to withdrawing. Some customers may still also hold BTC and we encourage you to withdraw all three assets from Circle Pay.

Once your balance is zero, we will automatically close your account.

We encourage you to withdraw all your coins by December 31st 2019. After that date, there will be a very short window of time you will continue to have access to your BTC, BCH and BSV balances through Circle.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to email us at [email protected].

Thank you,
The Circle Pay Team

Can anyone recommend a wallet that will accept BSV. Coinjar and Coinbase only accept BTC and BCH. BSV doesn't seem to be able to be transfered. Help!

      Atomic supports it.

        Great. Thanks.

Just a quick heads-up for anyone who wants to move coins from Circle to Atomic. Circle requires that you enter legacy BSV wallet addresses, but Atomic provides them in the CashAddr format. So you have to convert them. I used https://cashaddr.bitcoincash.org/ to do this.

I used Coinspot to get the Bitcoin from Circle earlier in the year as the referral system gives you $10. Seems they have Bitcoin Cash and SV as well.

      • opened a BCH wallet, clicked on Receive and got:

"We provide a managed wallet for Bitcoin Cash which you can send coins to anyone at anytime. We don't currently allow sending Bitcoin Cash into CoinSpot."

same message when i tried for BSV.

        ???

        • Oh, that's a pain. Guess will have to sign up to Atomic as recommended above.

a wallet that will accept a shit coin

    • I haven't had a wallet with a coin pouch for a decade.

  • How much is it worth? $5USD?

    • My Circle wallet from the 2015 deal shows today's value is approx $AUD 270.

20/20 hindsight, should have tipped some of my own money into BTC back then!

20/20 hindsight, shouldn’t have had so much to drink at that party back in 1999. I still remember how much my butt hurt waking up the next morning.

        • Is the butthurt joke a line from South Park's first episode???

  • This was a great original deal, I made $350 or something from that original $5 value.

  • newbie crypto question

Transfered balances to atomic wallet - but how do you sell them for AUD?

Do you need to create a coinspot or similar account, send to a wallet in there and then you can sell to AUD?

  • BTW: This has nothing to do with http://circles.life

  • Thanks OP. I intended to post this deal myself. It's the deal that just keeps giving!
