This is why the Government needs to increase funding in our education system.

          • +4

@pennypincher98: Last time I looked the Laberal Government was already spends massive amounts on the education system.

Most of it was being spent on private educational institutions where the wealthy send their children while paying large upfront fees in addition to the social welfare for the wealthy they recieve.

          • +1

@pennypincher98: It's funny, on our local radio station, they have a game, 'Can the Schoolie pronounce the word'.

            5 words.

            • Vociferous
            • Epitome
            • Massachusetts
            • Colonel
            • Hors d'oeuvre

Unsurprisingly, hardly any of them are getting them right.

But what is crazy, the host, Luke Bradnam, has the word Vociferous spelt with an I after the V. He also pronounces Massachusetts without the t's.

          🤦🏽‍♂️

        • What the feck, "neus"?

    • +3

      The fresh food person

  • I guess no way of doing this if your store doesn't have a rewards hub?

    • +3

You don't have to enter it yourself. You can give your number to someone else that can do it for you.

    • +1

All U need to do is share ur barcode number and people can create a ean13 product barcode. We can spin without a login, but we can see your recent purchases

      Got 180 points.

  • +1

Saw one of these today at Aspley (QLD). Also got 210 points ($1.05). My brother with me only got 70 points but hey free points for 30 seconds of our time.

    • 70 points is about 30 cents so 1 cent per second!!!

      • $60ph isn't a bad rate ;)

  • Every day someone is trying to hack into my Woolies rewards accounts.

    • +1

Are you sure it's not an app trying to log in? For example, Award Wallet generates these text messages when updating balances.

      • Hey you might be right! Thanks for that angle. I've disabled Award Wallet from trying to update the balances and see if I get anymore verification messages.

      • ok I'm still getting verification texts and it's not award wallet.

    • +10

One day I'll guess your password

    • +1

a lot of effort to hack a woolies account lol

  • +1

How often can you use these?

    • +1

Weekly the machine said. Or rather “come back next week”. Though I’m not sure when the week starts and ends.

      • +1

specials run from Wednesday, so at a guess… no idea!

        • Reward points run from Monday to Sunday, so at a guess… also no idea!

  • +13

    I got 30 points. Couldn't even buy a vowel.

    • +2

10-15 cents? Ouch! Piss weak for a billion dollar business.

  • +3

    This is a joke.
Last time I was awarded 30pts.
    No thank you Woolies.

    • +1

Yeah, only once a week. Promotion lasts 2 weeks so 2 times in total. Big Joke!

  • got 3 times 340…do not know why…

  • +4

Do people watch us when we scan it? Or can we scan all our thousands of cards?

    • The machine was unattended where i was. No one else ever bother to use it. Not sure about other places.

    • +1

They're probably taking photos of your face as you scan each card from Stocard

  • I got 180, my husband got 290

    • +2

      He’s a keeper!
Talk about women getting 80c in the dollar…

  • +1

Do you need o=to login by manually typing your number or can you just scan your card?

    • There is a bunch of ways, you can scan, put in your number, or enter in your details if you don't even have your card.

      • or you can fax it in

        • Seriously you can, fax it in and ask a Woolworths employee to do it for you…

  • Can you go to multiple stores?

    • +1

Offer can be redeemed only once per week during the promotional period.

    • Maybe if you do two spins on separate machines in the same second.

  • Can we say [in store]¿

    • honestly, I burned half the morning waiting fro woolies to text me a code to enter website, I finally came back here to read the online link was a red herring

  • +6

Woolies staff use a similar game to see who gets paid the minimum wage this week.

  • Any update about the truck mate? ;)

    • +1

Insurance company is investigating. Nothing we can do about it now, bought a dashcam and will try to be more careful on the road next time.

  • +5

3x points on every Woolies shop until Sunday, activate here.

Some may have received targeted emails, but the offer itself doesn’t appear to be targeted via the above link, it worked for me on an account that didn’t receive an email.

  • Was at a store with tablet turned off! Staff know nothing.

  • +1

So they're unloading their hotels business and bringing the pokies into the store now

  • What a rip! Got the lowest, 30 points :(

  • -2

That's all well and good if you go into the store, I shop at home as I have a disability so way to go Woolies for discriminating further against us that are immobile :(

    • +1

As said above, you don't have to be there and enter it yourself, have a family member or friend do it for you.

  • After standing there for 6min going through 5 cards it started to feel awkward…

    • +2

Nothing to be awkward about if you’re a true ozbargainer!

  • +2

So, the number of points you get seems to be pre-determined (i.e. fixed).

When you spin the wheel, just before it processes the result of where it lands you can hit 'close' in the top right corner. I tried this a handful of times, just to test it out, and each and every time it played out the exact same - the peg just barely ticking over from one 'prize' to the 'prize' next to it. In my case, every time it 'almost' landed on 800, but then land on 200 next to it. Still good though, so, all good, just an FYI.

    • Agreed. Tried 4 cards today. One is very close to 2k pts for redemption, but it only gave less than 100 pts. One card got small amount and some error popped up. After respin, it stayed at the same small amount. Other cards got hundreds pts. I won't be surprised that card still cannot reach 2k pts next week.

  • Got nothing when I scanned my card in. Well on any of my 5 cards

    • You mean you have got 0 points or didn’t see the screen where you spin the wheel?

      • Didn't see a wheel to spin.

        • That’s strange. I recall the instructions on the screen saying to press an orange button on the left side of the screen, in order to bring up the wheel.

  • Didn't get any spin the wheel game pop up or anything.

    • You have to click the tile after logging in, it won't automatically pop up.

  • +1

It seems that the closer you are to 2000 points, the less you get on the spinner. Rigged af

    • That's definitely the case. Lucky this week you can earn 1k point easily through one Ultimate card purchase so you just need to pass 1k hurdle.

  • I spinned on monday
Thought i try again and worked just then Wednesday

Not sure what the definition of a week is or its a bug

    • Perhaps it could be the catalogue week starting Wednesday and finishing Tuesday

      • you are most likely right, however I will try on friday again to try my luck!

since im only getting like 30 - 60 points each time!

  • Got 240 points. Thanks OP!

  • Only 70 points. Damn it

    • I only got 30.

  • Anyone know where the rewards hub is at Sydney Town Hall?

    • +1

I can’t comment on that place but all the ones I’ve seen have been around the self service checkouts

      • I did walk around the self service checkout but can’t find the orange hub. I could be blind but will have a look again when I go pass.

        • +1

given how buggy the app is, and ive been to one store the tablet was broken,

wouldnt be surprised if it was broken

          • @Samsungnote10: I played 5 times consecutively and left the screen frozen in one store last week.

            • @Neoika: Would that store be Pitt St Mall because all I got was a spinny wheel when I wen last week 😛

  • Got 30 twice, what are the odds :P

    • I got 70 and 60. I swear they rigged the spin wheel to only give away the lowest points lol

      • dont forget the one next to the one it lands on is always the highest one too

        • Yep.

Pissed me off everytime it overshot the 560(?) or watever high points sector just by a few mm.

    • Same, 30 last week, 30 this week. Left them a sad face review both times!

  • +1

I got 250 last week and 220 this week. The second spin was enough to push me over 2000 points.

  • Just a heads up, from tomorrow until Sunday, 3x / 5x / 10x Bonus Points on $50 / $100 / $150 Spend @ Woolworths, Big W, Caltex or BWS will be returning, you can activate it in advance via this link.
