More of a PSA for amaysim as they are going to provide unlimited data for some time to allow people to stay connected during this difficult time.

    Haha, amaysim's been quality recently. Got the Groupon deal from ages back (10$ total for 8 recharges), then they offered another extension for 10$, plus 1GB data extra per month (another 8 or so months), and they've been giving out data like crazy. I've paid ~20$ for 10 months of usage now, and currently sitting on 61 GB of data.

        Mobile networks in Australia will never be proper unlimited data until the network is properly upgraded for it. The way it is it can't handle unlimited data. Lately the connection on the Optus 4G network well at least what amaysim 4G has access to has gone to crap since they started this unlimited data.

        Tonight i'm struggling to get 1.8 Mbps download through amaysim 4G. When i switch over to my Boost 4G SIM on my dual sim phone and the speed skyrockets.

    I have been on their $40 'endless summer' unlimited plan since December. Yesterday, I received an email stating that this would be extended

    We recently extended your unlimited mobile data through to 31 July 2020

      Nope.

      But i just activated a $40 sim today and it's still showing as 45GB data. I activated on an account which already had 2 other services on it. I'm hoping i will get the unlimited data too.

    What's the point when the speed on amaysim 4G here has now gone to crap. You can't just shove every one on unlimited data on a data network which just can't cope with it. It was never designed for it.
